《Out-Flirt Me - Anakin x Reader》Chapter 13- #1 Dad Qui-Gon

Anakin had walked inside and you had followed. Padme was right in front of you and you were keeping a close eye on her. The alien looked around for a document of some sort while Anakin stared him down. He was muttering something about a moisture farm, you had never seen one but you read about one when you were a kid. Padme wandered the shop with a nostalgic look amongst her face. You always forgot she had been here before. That one mission that Qui-Gon didn't come back from.
You had been at the temple for almost five years now. In that amount of time Obi-Wan, a 25 year old padawan, had become like a brother to you. He helped out with your youngling class sometimes. And you followed him and Qui-Gon around anytime you had the chance. You didn't have many friends that were your age, so you hung out with the two much older jedis.
You had woken up around 5:00 am to meet the two, who were coming back from a mission. Hopefully, everything had gone well while they were on Naboo. When Obi-Wan told you they were leaving he told you two things. One- he didn't know how long they were going to be gone. And two- they would be going to Naboo for a blockade or something. But staying up was harder than you had thought. Your eyes closed as you laid on a bench with a thin, small blanket.
Shake, shake.
You slowly opened your eyes to a smiling Qui-Gon. "Hey kiddo."
"Master Qui-Gon!" You jumped up and hugged him. It was much easier since he had gotten on his knee to lean on the bench. He hugged you back and patted your back twice. Then you pulled away and smiled at him, when you looked behind him Obi-Wan was standing there smiling as well. You waved and when he waved back you ran over and hugged him as well. It was harder since he was not kneeled down put he eventually hugged you back.
"Y/n, I would like you to meet someone." Obi-Wan explained when you both pulled back. They had been gone almost three weeks but you weren't expecting them to have a new friend. Obi-Wan stepped out of the way and there was a little blond boy. He was a little taller than you and his hair was rounded like his face. His skin was tanned from playing in the sun and he stared at you with confusion.
"Hi!" You waved and he took a step backwards. You decided to stay in place because maybe you were scaring him. "I'm Y/n! What's your name?"
"Anakin," His voice was quiet but his mind didn't seem to be, "but you can call me Ani."
"Nice to meet you, Ani!"
Anakin and you became friends quickly but Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon had to take him to the council. After that they left again, Qui-Gon was the only one to say good-bye. He said they would return soon and not to miss them to much. But a few days later, when you fell asleep on the bench again. Qui-Gon did not return.
Instead Obi-Wan nudged your shoulder, eyes red. You could feel something was wrong. When you looked around for Qui-Gon and Anakin, Ani was the only one in sight. You hugged Obi-Wan as he sighed and sniffled, you wouldn't ask right now. He needed time and you would at least give him that. You went to the funeral with the two of them, watching Qui-Gon burn. Anakin became a very young padawan, but really he was just a youngling like you.

The memory hit you like a brick and you had lost track of where Padme was. You looked around and she was behind you, about to put a hand on your shoulder.
"Are you alright?" She breathed, Anakin was still staring at the alien.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Thanks." You walked away, and Anakin finished up. R2 popped up right at your leg and you jumped. You hadn't seen him in a while and you had actually forgotten about him. He had been resting in Anakin's room on Naboo and then he had gotten on the ship before you. But you hadn't seen him since then, so he may have just followed you all here.
Anakin walked out without a word but you and Padme still followed. He got another carriage that took you far enough and then you would walk the rest. A small sand house laid in the distance and it was hard to believe people could live there. As you approached, a droid watched you all move in. He introduced himself, but you didn't quite hear him as you were still catching up.
"C-3PO?" Anakin interrupted.
"Master Ani? Oh the maker! I always knew you would return!" You and Padme glanced at each other in confusion.
"You made him, Anakin?" He looked down at you and smiled.
"Yeah, a long time ago." He looked back at the droid and Padme looked like she understood. He was probably here when she was.
"Who is this?" C-3PO asked regarding you.
"Oh, this is Y/n. She's another Jedi, and Padme is right here." He moved out of the way so the droid could see Padme.
"Pleasure to meet you," he said to you before turning to Padme, "Miss Padme! You've returned as well!" She just smiled.
"I'm here for my mother. Do you know where she is?"
"Oh, we better go inside."
Oh, not good. You followed C-3PO inside and down some steps you didn't know were there. A decent sized open area sat underneath the little house. A man and woman stood there and looked at you all in confusion.
"This is Anakin."
Anakin reached his hand out and shook the man's hand.
"Owen Lars. I guess I'm your step-brother, I guessed I would meet you one day. This is my girlfriend, Beru." Anakin just nodded at her. "I assume your here for you mother, let's go to the dinning room."
Anakin followed him but glanced back at you and Padme. When he continued, they sat down in a small room with a long table. You and Padme grabbed a seat next to Anakin as he talked to an older man. You may have zoned out a bit, but you were feeling the force. You had never met Anakin's mom, but going off what he's told you, maybe you could find her.
You could feel a faint light, far away, it was weak but it may have been just the distance. Hopefully it was the distance. After a few minutes, Anakin looked back at you as if he was asking permission. You just nodded and stood up with him, not sure what you actually said yes to.
"Where are you going?"
"To find my mother." He started to step out.
"With what I've told you she's probably dead." Oh, that's what I missed. You followed Anakin outside and could hear Padme trying to clean up his mess. You stopped outside and waited for her. She stumbled out, trying to catch you before you left.

"Be careful, the both of you, please." She pleaded.
"We will, I promise."
She waved goodbye as Anakin stared into the distance. He started to walk away and you followed, Padme's gaze burning holes in your back. He grabbed the handle bars of a speeder and looked at you. His ocean blue eyes had thunderstorms dwelling above. His mind was a war zone that you could feel in the force. He hopped on the speeder and you got on behind him. He started to go as soon as your arms fastened around his chest. You tucked his face into his back, blocking you from the raging sand.
Don't be afraid.
You almost didn't realize his thoughts projecting into yours.
In not afraid, I'm downright terrified.
You should've told me, you could've stayed back.
Not for me, Anakin. For you.
His thoughts were shaky as if it was hard to focus. The force had always come as second nature to you, but to there it wasn't the same. Apparently you had been using the force before you came to the temple for fun tricks. It was easy to focus on the force once you blocked out the noise. Qui-Gon used to tell you all the time to block out your thoughts. But those weren't always the problem, it was the voices or the noises.
Anakin started to slow down the speeder and you noticed that you had let your thoughts run for quite a while. You truly missed Qui-Gon, who you had forgotten about in the past couple weeks. You had been so busy, that the feeling slipped your mind. Anakin came to a complete stop and you took away your arms. He jumped off and then walked up to a large geometric vehicle. The large trapezoid had small men running around it.
You thought it would be best to stay put while Anakin talked to one of the small people. It wasn't really talking though, they mostly used hand signals and a few words. Anakin was back in only a few minutes and you smiled at him. He tried to smile back, but it wasn't real. He climbed back on and you wrapped your arms around him again. He took off even quicker than last time and in a different direction. You tucked your face back down and let your eyes rest. Today had been tiring and you had licked your lips dry. You couldn't wait for a bed and some lip balm.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shake, shake.
Your eyes flung open as you stared holes into Anakin's eyes. He looked a little taken back but you looked away and yawned. It had darkened and the suns were setting on the horizon. Anakin put a finger up to his lips telling you to be quiet as he walked over to a small hill. He peaked over and you followed suit. You two could see a small village of huts with more small people walking around. Anakin got up to start going down put you grabbed his arm.
Be careful.
Aren't I always?
You sighed and watched as he slid down the hill of sand. He took out his lightsaber right as you began to follow him. When you got to the bottom, he had cut a hole in the side and climbed into the hit. You could hear him gasp so you sped up. As soon as you walked inside you were met with a bloodied woman tied around a pole. Her clothes with cut and soaked through. Her hair was a mess and he eyes were almost swollen shut. But under all of the pain you could see she was beautiful. Her hair was an umber brown and her skin was sandy with freckles that coated her cheeks. Anakin grabbed her shoulders as he started to panic.
"Hey, hey, hey, I'm here. It's me, it's Anakin, you're safe."
He untied her hands and she fell into his arms. Anakin brought her to the ground, sitting with her head in his lap. You sat down next to him waiting to put your hand on his shoulder.
"H-Hey, everything's going to be alright. It's okay. We're all okay."
He looked at you with pleading eyes, begging you to do something. Your heart shattered knowing that there was nothing you could do. You shook your head and he looked back down. Tears started to cascade down his face.
"My... Ani." His mother breathily whispered.
"Yeah, yeah! It's me mom, it's me. I'm right here." He rubbed his thumb on the side of her face, wiping off blood.
"Oh my son, my grown-up son," She paused taking in shaky breaths, "You look so handsome. I'm so proud of you, Ani."
"I missed you."
"Now, I am complete. I- I love-"
"Stay with me mom. Everything-" His breaths were almost as unstable as hers.
"I love- I love-" She repeated, unable to finish her sentence. Then her head dropped and Anakin looked lost. After catching his breath he leaned over and closed her eyes.
His hands were covered in blood but he didn't care. He only cared about her right now. And right now she was dead. He sat back drowning on this desert planet. His thoughts were washed out of his mind and it was filled with regret and anger. He laid his mother on the ground and sat back into the sand floor. He saw the blood on his clothes and tried to wipe it off. His hands were shaky and moving incredibly fast.
"No, no, no." He continued to mutter to himself as he stood up.
"Anakin." You whispered successfully getting his attention. But you wish you hadn't, his eyes broke you more than anything ever could. His sky blue eyes had been clouded before but now the storm had truly rolled in. Tears waited in the corners and he tried to wipe them but he just stained his face.
"Ani, come here."
He kneeled down in front of you while you were sitting on your heels. You used the edge of you robe to wipe the blood from his face. He closed his eyes and you were thankful for that. Then you grabbed his hands that were still shaking and used another side to cleanse them. There was so much blood that it would be almost impossible to get out of his clothing. When you had set both of his hands in his lap he opened his eyes and walked outside.
They weren't the same though, they changed in the time they had been closed. You closely followed him out, scared of what he might do. You were met with one of your greatest fears. Anakin had pulled out his lightsaber and slashed one of the small men standing guard.
"ANAKIN!"
You screamed but he didn't seem to here you, there was also another voice it was familiar. But it wasn't really there. Anakin almost killed the other one but you flung your hand out and concentrated on stopping the both of them. Everything had happened in a seconds notice, Anakin was so very skilled with a lightsaber. When you opened your eyes they were both frozen, but more were coming. You flung out your left hand and stopped them. You kept you hands out but moved your right to pull Anakin away from them. You retracted his lightsaber and put him right in front of you.
His weapon dropped to the ground as he began to move. He lunged forward but stopped when he didn't have his lightsaber. When he went to grab it, he just looked at you in your state of concentration.
"Y/n?" He mouthed, "How are you doing this?"
"Stop. Stop it all now and let's head home." With the focus needed to keep the small people at bay your mind barriers started to fail. The voices were starting to come in. It always began with the people closest to you, their thoughts and heartbeats. Then it grew and grew until it would eventually drive you insane.
"I'm sorry." He muttered, watching the sand intensely.
"Just please let us go home. Back home to Coruscant where everything will be normal."
"You are my home, Y/n. Anywhere with you, I am at home." This would've been romantic if he didn't just try and kill a whole village.
He began to walk into the small hut, presumably to wrap up his mother. You threw all of the people to the ground, not killing them but knocking them out for only a few minutes. Then you rushed inside where Anakin had taken care of his mother and was holding her. He climbed out the back and began to walk up the hill.
You followed closely behind until the speeder, that's when you looked back over the hill. They had begun to move again and they had crowded around the one person who died. You may have made them forget what happened but you weren't advanced enough to do that on purpose. Anakin gazed at you as you walked over to him and the speeder. His mother was laid on his lap and you hopped on behind him. You held on tight again and he began to drive.
It had grown very dark in the time you had been there. It was almost pitch black when you hadn't drove past another civilization in a while. You started at the stares the entire way back, hoping to find your Coruscant up there. But you were in the outer rim and the chances of knowing exactly where it is, were slim. In the last week you had begun to think about where you lived before the temple. Since most people were there as babies, technically you had come late. But you started training at the same time so you weren't behind at all. Right now, you wanted to ask that voice that had shown up earlier to stop Anakin, but you felt that you couldn't. You had forgotten almost everything that happened in your past except for a bomb. And that really didn't narrow it down within the galaxy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A long while later, the small house had shown up in the distance. It was early morning now but you couldn't tell exactly when because of the two suns. Anakin had slowed down the speeder to park it and you hopped off once it stopped. He carried his mother in his arms as you wandered towards the house. You could see four figures standing by the entrance and you sped up. Getting closer you could distinguish the person on the far left as Padme and you sprinted towards her.
You landed in her arms without even thinking. She held you close, wrapping her arms around your back. She put her head you your shoulder while yours was on hers. You squeezed your eyes shut and a tear decided to fall. She muttered some kind words into your ears but you didn't need them as much as Anakin. You would later come to realize that this event traumatized you more than you could realize at the moment. But that will all be explained later.
You broke the hug and turned around to watch Anakin walk over. He didn't sprint, in fact he moseyed. You don't blame him for not walking at his average speed though. He has been through a lot and he is carrying another person. When he got closer you could see the expressions on the other peoples face change. Her husband looked distraught and sank into his chair more than he had originally. Owen Lars leaned over to Beru for comfort but she was shocked and only provided so much.
Anakin laid her down in front of her other family and walked over to the house. He grabbed a shovel of some sort and started to dig. He dug a hole large enough for a person and went back to pick her up. He carried her in his arms once more and lowered her into the hole. Owen Lars placed the sand back on top of her as Anakin turned around. You looked him in the eyes even though it hurt.
When she was buried, her husband said his goodbyes. Then Anakin said his, he fell to his knees in front of her grave and picked up some sand in his right hand. He said his goodbyes and that he was sorry but it hurt to much to listen so intently. Anakin stood back up and they all headed inside. You stared for a second at the grave of the woman who created the man you love. You walked inside with Anakin but R2, who popped up again, made some noises. He looked down at you and his jaw was dropped.
"Obi-Wan." He mentioned before turning towards the ship.
"Padme!" You called as you were about to follow Anakin.
"Hmm? Yes, Y/n?"
"We've got a message from Obi-Wan. I think you should come."
"Oh, okay." She turned around and followed you. R2 trailed closely behind Anakin while you were a few yards back. This was going to be an interesting conversation with Obi-Wan if he knew you were on Tatooine.
