《Out-Flirt Me - Anakin x Reader》Chapter 11- A little closer

"Stay," Your voice must've startled him, "Please." He turned back around with a confused expression. Your words were crackly, but he heard them loud and clear. You wanted him to stay with you, you couldn't be alone right now. He just nodded and walked into your temporary room, closing the door.
You walked over to your suitcase, grabbing the dress you were wearing earlier. Then you went behind the changing wall and took off his robe. Anakin was messing with something on the dresser by the window, a small metal object by the sound. When you finished changing and hung up his robe you walked out to find him by the brown dresser. He didn't look you in the eyes, but stared at your injured calf.
"What did you do to your leg?" He wouldn't take his eyes off it until you uncomfortably moved it behind your other leg. You needed to change the bandage, the water proof one you had put on would fall off soon.
"Nothing, it's fine." You tried to smile, but it wasn't convincing. Anyway you walked towards the bathroom where you were keeping the supplies. He didn't stop you, instead he followed you into the bathroom where you sat up on the sink. You had your bad leg up on the cold counter and started to unwrap the sticky bandage.
When you got to the long pad on the actual wound, you looked up at Anakin. He looked you in your eyes, still befuddled on what was happening. You took the gauze off and set the bloodied wrap on the counter. You saw his eyes widen and lips separate. Taking deep breaths you grabbed the cleaning solution and dabbed it on a fluffy pad. You pressed it to the wound as you clenched your jaw.
"Y/n!" Anakin gasped and grabbed your hands. You just stared up at him, not sure what he was going to do. He took off the cotton and looked at your wound. "You got shot?! When did this happen?!" You went back in your brain to the night.
"Almost a week ago." You muttered, looking back to your legs.
"Let me do it."
"What?"
"I'll do it, you don't need to cause your own pain." He was brought down but he was ready. Anakin grabbed the pad from you hand and gave you a countdown. "3...2...1." He did it. He placed the solution on the wound and you almost screamed at the pain. Tears filled your eyes as you squinted, but he did the same. After what was only a few seconds but felt like a few years, he took the pressure off. He wiped around the wound, trying not to touch it again. Then he grabbed more gauze and wrapped it up.
Your breaths calmed themselves as he cleaned up. You were glad he knew, that you didn't have to keep it a secret anymore. Not that you were truly trying to keep it a secret. You let your foot fall off the counter and Anakin put his hands on either side of you.
"Are you okay?" He was hunched over so he looked up at you. His words were smooth as if he was still trying to comfort you, that's exactly what he was doing.
"I could be better." This came out more flirtatious then you originally planned. He just looked up at you with raised eyebrows.
"You mean, with something like this?" He slowly moved towards you, tilted your head up, then kissed your jawline. You gasped.

"Or... this?" He kissed the crook of your neck.
"Anakin." Your breathy voice managed to say.
"Yes, my angel?" The pet name sent butterflies throughout your body, even to your fingertips. You grabbed his face with one hand and lightly brought it up to yours. You kissed him lightly, your lips brushing then crashing. His lips were as soft as silk and they begged you for more contact. Now both your hands were on his face and his made their way to your cheeks. He held your face close before setting his forehead against your, breaking the kiss. Your breathing was heavier, so was his.
"Your lips taste like strawberry." He mumbled, making the butterflies swarm. You pulled him back by the side of his face, giving him baby kisses that broke every couple seconds.
You know you can talk to me through the force, right?
He broke apart again, making your lips miss his. "I know, but its hotter when I talk to you aloud."
"Your right." You kissed him again, and over and over again until your lips hurt. Eventually you realized a big detail about the whole mission. "Padme will be looking for us." You whispered into his ear.
"One more." You leaned back in and he kissed you once. When you jumped down onto the floor, he turned your face towards his and kissed you again. He tried again, but you stopped him.
"No more, mister! You already got two more!"
"A guy can dream."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anakin walked out of you room first, to make sure nothing was suspicious. You stayed in your room and were holding on to Anakin's robe. It was wet from the sea water but you hugged it nonetheless. It smelled like salt and Anakin, which was a soft, natural scent. When the decided amount of time had passed, you laid the robe across the top of the changing wall, letting it dry.
Then you walked out and found Padme and Anakin talking. They were laughing, it was a wonderful sight after the hectic day. Padme pushed Anakin's arm as he said something you couldn't quite make out. You just smiled and walked towards the two, who were having a seemingly great time.
"What are you two talking about?" You approached the dining room table they stood by. The light reflected off both their faces, highlighting their beautiful features. They both smiled at you, Padmes different than it had been before.
"You." Anakin responded with a tilt to his head.
"Me?" Your eyes felt wide as you grew even more intrigued.
"Yeah, you. And how wonderful of a time we had earlier." He was messing with you, trying to spur you on.
"Oh, that we did." You weren't going to let him embarrass you, again. But it was staring to freak you out a bit what he had told Padme about.
"Well, I mean, before you almost drowned, we had a great time at the beach." He smiled at you like he was as innocent as a child, he wasn't.
"Yeah, we did. It was truly a great idea Padme." Your turned towards her, and she almost looked confused. But then she smiled and nodded.
"Thanks, are the both of you ready for dinner?"
"Yes." Anakin responded but his blue eyes were still on you.
Padme walked towards the kitchen and grabbed something out of the fridge. Something brushed up against you hand which made you fling around. It was just Anakin, who was now holding your right hand with his left. He brought it up to his lips and kissed the back of your hand. Your face felt hot and you shrunk backwards a bit. He just smirked at you, the let go and walked off. You blinked, and blinked again. This had to be a dream, had you actually agreed to be something with Anakin. You kissed him and he kissed you, you were attached, this whole thing was against the jedi code. Your life morals, for crying out loud!
This was a strange sensation you'd never had before. On one hand, you were attached to Anakin, and maybe you loved him. On the other hand, your master would be so disappointed in you. You would hate to let her down on anything, and this was a huge something. What even were you with Anakin? He loved you, he said it over and over, but did you truly love him? Or had you missed him so much, you were blinded by the joy of being reunited. Was that it?
"Y/n? Would you be a doll and set these on the table for me?" You turned back around and smiled as if you weren't just rethinking your entire life. "Of course!" You grabbed three plates plus silverware and some other dishes that went on the table. You hadn't really had fancy setups like this, at the temple everything was simple. And your missions had been almost all outdoors when on other planets. You made a couple trips back and forth, grabbing the items Padme wanted on the table. Eventually, she brought one more over and then wiped her hands together.
"And we're ready!" She grinned at the food, that she did not prepare but was somehow here. You had learned not to ask questions even though your curiosity boiled. Anakin walked over from the island, as he had moved some dishes too, and sat down at an end seat. You sat in the one seat at the middle and Padme took the other end. There was a wide assortment of food, almost like your picnic, but this was way more of a meal.
Padme grabbed a dish that was sitting close to her, springing you and Anakin into action. Anakin grabbed a bowl full of some kind of fruit and you grabbed a plate with little bowls of salad on it. Everything on the table looked delicious, and everything that you tried was. Even after stuffing yourself full of food, you continued to try little portions of stuff. You ate everything from weird fruits to fancy meats, that you really didn't want to ask questions about. After trying almost the entire table, everyone had slowed down and were now just finishing their plates.
"Would you pass me the pears, Anakin?" Padme asked looking up from her plate.
"Sure thing." He turned his hand and a pear floated out of the dish. Why can't he just be normal and pass the bowl. The pear slowly floated towards Padme as she giggled at it. "Here, milady." He said as it landed on her plate. She smiled and gave her thanks, then started to cut it. Anakin smirked at you, and you just rolled your eyes.
When Padme finished her pear, you all started to clean up the table. You grabbed the plates and silverware, and Anakin grabbed some serving dishes along with Padme. When everything was in the dishwasher, Padme started it and you had the rest of the evening to relax. You decided to read the book you had brought with you on the porch. So you grabbed it from your room plus Anakin's robe and headed outside. The sun would set soon, so you didn't want to be cold. You stepped out to the streaks of the sunset hitting your face. It was beautiful with pinks and yellows and blues and purples.
You walked over to the edge of the deck and you sat up on the railing. Having your back against the wall of the house and your feet on the railing, you opened your book and began. 'Chapter 11- Out of Your Comfort Zone'. You had already read the book once so you knew how it went. It started with a teenage jedi, learning how to live. It ended with that jedi learning what it meant to live. This chapter was about the character going into battle and fighting for the person they loved. Of course, it was for forbidden now, but a long, long time ago, it wasn't.
You dove head first into your reading and got lost running with the characters. The sun had set but lights had come on inside the house. Lightning bugs danced by as they flashed their patterns. And the cool breeze froze the tips of your nose and ears. They were probably pink by now, but you didn't care. All you cared about right now, was the story and the characters.
"Y/n?"
Ugh. You groaned as you looked over at the figure. It was Anakin. He walked over to you, smiling, and the corners of your mouth raised. Wait, no, no smiling. You looked at the chapter you were on and realized it must've been a while since you started.
"Don't you think it's time to come inside now?" He asked, leaning on the same wall you were.
"Probably." You frowned at your book, you had just finished your chapter. And it was a good stoping point, but you hated to leave. Plus, the book was forbidden for the jedi, so it made it even more enticing. Anyway, you hoped off the railing, holding your book in your right hand as Anakin held your left. He rubbed circles with his thumb and it was incredibly calming.
"Padme just went to bed a little bit ago." He explained as you walked inside, still holding hands.
"Oh, ok." You were bummed that you didn't say good night to her.
"It's alright we'll see her in the morning." He smiled at you again as he walked you to your room.
"I know." You grinned back.
He stopped at the door, but you pulled him in. His eyebrows went up and his eyes widened.
"Someone's eager." He joked sill behind you.
"No, I just don't see the point of you just standing there." You turned around to face him after setting your book down next to a little metal trinket.
"I wasn't going to stand there all night." He stepped closer to you.
"Than why not just come in?"
"You make a fair point." He smirked, holding on to both of your hands now. He leaned in and put his forehead against yours. Then he kissed your cheek and went back to leaning against your head.
"I'm going to go get ready for bed. Would you like to sleep here?" You saw absolutely no point in being discreet when he almost never did. But nonetheless, Anakin's eyes widened as he smirked.
"Don't mind if I do." You grabbed something to sleep in, then walked into the bathroom. You brushed your hair that had been driving you wild all night and threw it into a braid on the back of your head. You changed into your sleepwear and carried your clothes back into the room. You set down your clothes by your suitcase before seeing that Anakin had something of yours. He was laying in the bed, reading the first page of your book. You skipped over and snatched it out of his hands, then closing it and putting it behind your back.
"Hey!" He tried to reach behind you to grab the book, but you didn't let him.
"Stop that! This is mine!" You were playing, sort of, you didn't really want him to read the book.
"Why can't I read it? Is it because that's one of the forbidden ones?" You jaw dropped.
"How'd you know?"
"I knew you took one, it's been missing forever." He smirked at you, unraveling your secrets. You walked back and set it on the dresser. Then you climbed in bed next to him, setting your hand on his chest.
"Yes, you cannot read it because it's forbidden." You mocked a formal tone, then laid down with your head taking your hands spot.
"Hypocrite." He muttered. You just chuckled and laid your right hand over him. His hand twirled in your hair while the other one locked with your right. He kissed your forehead before leaning back to fall asleep. You could hear his breathing and your heart beats synced up. Your eyes lids were slowly getting heavy as you thought, this is the safest place you might have ever been.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You groaned. Something moved and it was the middle of the night. You wanted to sleep.
"Shh, shh, it's okay. Go back to bed." The thing slid out from underneath you, it was a very comfortable pillow. But that wasn't an 'it'.
"Anakin?" You mumbled into the sheets, sounding more like 'Ama-in'.
"Go back to bed, everything's fine." He tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, and walked away. He had taken your warmth with him. You heard a door, and some wind, then you realized his hands had been sweaty. Ah shit. You pushed yourself up with your arms, then you sat up facing the window. Or where you guessed it my have been. You rubbed your right or left eye and blinked a few times. When your vision cleared, it was dark everywhere except for the large window or balcony. You slumped out of bed and walked towards the door, stopping on the way to grab a robe. You opened the door and Anakin turned around speedily.
"I thought I-"
"Shh! Not to loud. Besides if your up, I'm up. Sort of."
"Y/n, please just go back to bed, I'll be fine." He tried to smile at you and he held your shoulders.
"Nope." You dove into his chest for a hug, mostly just crashing into him though. You wrapped your arms around his back and he did the same. Although one hand was on the back of your head and your pretty sure he kissed the top of it.
"You're wearing my robe." He may have actually smiled, you could hear it in his voice.
"Mine now, sucker. It was all apart of my plan." You had to take his mind off of his nightmare. You had one more day of peace.
"Oh yeah, you planned to almost drown and give me a heart attack."
"Maybe I didn't plan it out in the best way, but it worked." You yawned into his chest.
"It did, didn't it?" You pulled back and looked up at him, he looked happier. Your reached up and held the side of his face, rubbing your thumb on his cheek. He held onto your hand and kissed it, if you were more awake you would've gotten butterfly's. Still, sleepy as you were, you knew he didn't want to talk about his nightmares right now. What he needed was sleep, and something else to do.
"Are you ready to go back inside?"
"I think so, my Princess."
You smiled and linked arms as you walked inside. You tossed the robe on the end of the bed and climbed in, waiting for Anakin. He followed suit and you ended up in almost the same position as before. Maybe now, in your tired state, you could admit that you loved him with all your heart.
