《Out-Flirt Me - Anakin x Reader》Chapter 3- Not a little kid

After you made it past the corner of your masters hallway, you sprinted towards you room. One left, two rights, and you were there. You opened your door since you never locked it and ran in than closed the door quickly behind you. Glad that you didn't see anyone on your way here you sighed and stepped towards you bed before collapsing onto it. You knew you had to pack for the senators place since you were already probably late, correction you were already 1 minute late at the moment.
You stumbled towards your closet, tears clouding your vision, threatening to start cascading down your face. Pulling out your suitcase for the bottom, flipping it open and grabbing 6 pieces of robes. A couple tears fell but you wiped them off as soon as they were out. You weren't like this. You didn't show weakness. You didn't cry. These thoughts made you cry harder a couple more tears falling down your face. She was always there for you. How could she do this to her. What did you do.
~Flashback~
You had crafted your first real lightsaber and had come back from the gathering. There were 2 people in the courtyard with you, a new master Kio, and Anakin. Both whom you now disliked. Kio walked towards you with a small smile. She wasn't always stoic and solemn. She used to be fun and exciting. She grabbed your shoulder as you gleamed up at her.
"I'm proud of you y/n! You've done great." She was proud of you that made you so incredibly happy and you couldn't express that. You just lunged towards her and hugged her only really at her torso since you were 13. She was startled for a second that's hugged back. You were holding your new lightsaber behind your back silently promising that you would never lose it. You opened your eyes and pulled back still smiling like crazy and her smile just grew a little.
"Thanks, Master Kio!" You replied with a excited tone. Than you glanced at Anakin. He was giving you one of his 3 smiles, the lopsided grin. The other 2 were the cheeky grin, and the huge smile. You dropped your saber and sprinted to him hugging him. You placed your head on his shoulder as your hands wrapped around his back and he spun you around. He had been a padawan for almost a year now and he always teased you. You pulled back.
"Can't tease me anymore now, can you?" You questioned cheekily. His smile changed to number 2.
"I can, I'm older. It comes with the territory." He responded easily. You made an overly annoyed expression at him and sighed. He was only almost a year older, but you were the same age! Also, he was so much taller.
~Flashback Over~
You had stoped crying, and were almost angry at this memory. Both these people now probably hated you. Master, because she said so, and Anakin, because he never said goodbye. When he was 15 and went on a new mission he left and never stood you anything. Obi-Wan told you he was being assigned a mission and he said bye when leaving the room. You didn't think he meant for a while, but it still counted. Anakin never even said he had a new mission. They left at one am you believe, but he should have told you before hand. You would've waken up for him.
You were all packed now and wiped your eyes checking for tear stains. When you were 'eh' about your appearance you checked the time, 7 minutes later, and left. You decided you were just going to run since it wasn't far and you were late. You almost forgot that you needed to take care of your leg, one you changed out of your bloodstained, white pants. You looked at the injury, there was so much blood. It created a streak across your leg, almost like a sword. You didn't have time to clean it though, so you grabbed a new bandage.

You sprinted in the direction of the senators apartment. Running almost as fast as you could since your leg still hurt and you just messed with it. It still hurt like hell but you weren't going to deal with that, you had a mission. And you were proud of it, no matter what your master said about it.
You were almost at the apartment aka penthouse since you now saw the building and how utterly huge it was. Your mouth gaped open and you slowed down a bit but still ran towards the building. You got to the door and stopped, not really out of breath even though you'd ran 3 miles, you were kinda running of off pure anger. You opened the door and stepped inside. A guard walked towards you and put his hand out. You probably looked like a little kid to him since you weren't wearing make-up and you were in robes. Jedi robes but most people didn't realize that when they thought you were 10. You unhooked your lightsaber from your belt and showed it to him before he could say anything.
"I'm here to protect Senator Amidala, I'm with the jedi." You stated, still holding your lightsaber.
"You are? I could've sworn-" he responded super confused and questioning you.
"Yeah I know, I look like a kid. Where do I need to go."
"19th floor." He pointed to the elevator.
"Thanks" You walked towards it and pressed button number 7. The ceilings were supper high and the 19 floors were only counting the apartments. So it was a pretty long ride up. You swayed back and forth reminding yourself who you were. You were bubbly, and fun, and adventurous. You weren't gonna let one fight break you. You smiled at your past memories of just you being you. The doors opened and you saw the senator sitting on a couch with a data pad. You're heart skipped a beat thinking you were actually going to meet her. She looked up from her data pad and smiled at the doors as you stepped out. She stood up quickly and walked over gracefully to meet you.
"Hello, my name's Padme Amidala. It's a pleasure to meet you Miss-" She paused and you filled in your name.
"Y/l/n. Y/n y/l/n. And the pleasures all mine, senator." She continued to smile as you gave her back one.
"Oh please, just call me Padme! No need for formalities." Nice people really didn't like formalities, huh. "I'll show you your room so you can un-pack." She waved her hand for you to follow than walked towards a hallway, than a door.
She opened it and waved inside. It was beautiful, an entire wall of windows with a full sized bed facing them. There was a lot of white and neutral colors. There was a curtain wall in a corner, probably for changing. A large closet and a bathroom with the doors opened. Your mouth gaped open as you stared at the room.
"I'll take it that you like it." She spoke, breaking from your observations but you weren't mad. You turned around to face her holding your suitcase in booth hands.
"Thanks, Padme. I do."
"I'm glad. I'll leave you to it," she started to leave grabbing the door. You turned back around and placed your suitcase on the bed. You grabbed an outfit and hung it up in the closet. Than you looked in the mirror on top of the dresser. Your eyes no longer looked red and puffy but all you could see were your flaws and that made you hate yourself even more. You smiled and tried to be happier but you just couldn't everything you did took a drain on you. The people you loved hated you.

You walked out of your temporary room and saw Padme, again sitting on the couch. She still looked up and smiled at you than looked back down at her data pad. Since nothing was going on right now you decided to sit on the couch as well. You sat on the other side and pulled out a book from your pocket on the inside of you robes. It read 'The Story of a Lost Jedi' and you related to it a lot. It was about a girl who grows up each couple chapters only to realize what it means to be a jedi. And not just the courage and compassion part. The no attachments part and the letting go of others part. It was a pretty sad story but it made you feel something and that's all you could ask for.
You flipped to your bookmark and crossed your legs while sitting back a bit. You read a sentence then Padme asked, "So y/n, what's your favorite part about being a jedi?" She was obviously just trying to make small talk but she was good at it so you answered. "
Um... I don't really know. No one's asked me that question before. I mean it cool and all, the force and the lightsabers. But just helping people is the most rewarding part."
"That's really sweet."
"So Padme," you asked using her tone from before and she giggled, "What's your favorite part about being a senator?"
"Probably the same as you, knowing your making a difference and helping people is all that matters."
"That sounded very senator-y of you." At this she burst out laughing and you did too. You continued to laugh and joke for almost and hour when the doors opened again.
"Obi! Mesa so excited to seea yousa!" Padme stopped mid-sentence and looked over. You forgot Jar Jar was here. Padme had said he was but he wasn't anywhere you were at the same time. Out came the first person you would want to see and the last. Obi-Wan and Anakin. Ugh why did they half to be here. You almost laughed at your own childish antics but instead you stood up like Padme and walked over. They weren't supposed to be here, this was your mission.
"Looky looky, senator!" Obi-Wan bowed and Padme shook his hand.
"It's a pleasure to see you again." Obi-Wan stated.
"Ani?" She asked, I was a little taken back because I completely forgot she knew him. Anakin had told you once when you were little, but you didn't believe him.
"Why, you've grown." That you agreed with he was taller than Obi-Wan now. I guess he accomplished that dream.
"So have you. More beautiful I mean. For a senator I mean." He stuttered out. Padme almost laughed at this but I guess she didn't want to hurt his feelings. You also almost laughed as you found it hilarious that he didn't keep his confidence like you had. You were standing a couple steps behind Padme and had smiled at Obi-Wan but you didn't look Anakins way. Alright that was a lie, you snuck a glance every once in a while but he didn't see you. He looked your way a couple times and seemed nervous. Lol loser. You thought this was kind of mean but you couldnt always control your thoughts.
"I'll show you your rooms so you can unpack." Padme broke you out of your thoughts by saying this. You weren't sure how long you were gone because Padme and Obi-Wan were just conversing respectfully. She started walking away and they followed. You stayed behind and just sat on the couch like you were before. She had two jedi with her so she didn't need you. You started to read like you had before when,
"Y/n!" Anakin of all people called. Ugh how you hated your name in his mouth. He was walking towards you and smiling. You looked toward him and didn't smile, so he stopped. Your resting face really seemed to scare people. It almost made you smile how scared he looked for a second.
"What's wrong, y/n?" He questioned sincerely but you didn't buy it. You almost told him to keep his name out of your mouth but you decided against it.
"Nothing." You said nonchalantly and went back to your book. If he kept you from reading one more time you swore you were gonna kill him.
"Oh no, when you say nothing it's not just nothing. And I sense your anger, is it with me?" You so wanted to choke the light out of him but you'd probably go to jail for that since he's the chosen one.
"Yeah, I am mad. I'm mad at you." You we're keeping your temper down because you didn't want to fight again. You put your book back, stood up and stared at him for a response. But he paused and gave you a sad/confused look.
"What did I do?"
"Are you really that stupid?"
"Don't call me stupid." He growled this at you, apparently insulting his intelligence made him mad. You almost laughed in his face but you were holding back. You knew his temper you knew this would either end in Obi-Wan scolding him and you hurt or him upset and you perfectly fine.
"So you just can't remember?"
"No, I can't. What did I do that made you hate me." He was closer to you now and still furious but you were getting more enraged by the second.
"You never said goodbye." This seemed to calm him down because now he looked upset not aggravated.
"I'm sorry." He said then walked away. You knew this was bad. Anakin Skywalker never said sorry if his life depended on it. Especially not to you. He turned away and you grabbed his arm, it was your turn to be confused.
"What?" You asked in a small voice, barley above a whisper.
"You heard me, I'm sorry that I did that to you. I didn't mean to cause you pain. I just couldn't bear it." He didn't look at your eyes he was looking at the ground.
"Couldn't bear what?" You still had ahold of his arm you were afraid if you let go he would walk away.
"Seeing you upset because I wasn't coming back." He looked up from the floor and looked into your eyes. You didn't know what to say so you just hugged him. You ran into his chest and wrapped your arms around his back and he placed his head on yours and wrapped his around your back.
"Oh, Ani." You mumbled into his shirt. Should you really try to forgive him? Do you forgive him? You could feel his smile on top of your head. And he kissed the very top of your forehead. You could stay here forever but you knew you had to create a plan to protect Padme. You pulled back and gave him a small smile as he returned it and then you turned to go find Padme and Obi-Wan. This mission was going to be either better or worse than you thought.
