Petrův život z rány palné,

Já tu ležím v první řadě,
trčí břitva z mojí zádě,
hledím v vřavu, zrak mi tmavne,
prusák náhle rukou mávne.
Tu vyvalí se mlha z lesa,
srdce prusa tuze plesá,
každý náš muž – k zemi klesá.

v hustém mlhy obestření,
