Changsub: Yeah

Changsub: Surrender

Bella: Surrender. It's been 3 years and 8 months since you last released your solo album. It's been a long time and how do you feel?

Changsub: I was in a mannerism, thinking which song to sing. And I fell in love with this song so I begged that I want to do a solo album with this

Changsub: Yeah I tried something new this time

Bella: Talking about BTOB, I heard that it's been 10 years since BTOB debut

Changsub: Yeah it's been 10 years this year

Changsub: The time flew so I wasn't able to really feel it. By the time you have been performing for 10 years, you won't notice it too

Changsub: Yeah... there weren't many situations where I could sing this kind of song. It feels good to sing in Find the Melody with Bella

Changsub: Being able to sing the songs that I want to

Bella: Since you've been performing for 10 years. I'm sure there were changes in the way you sing

Changsub: Yeah yeah yeah that's true. Right before my military service, I had vocal nodules. I served in the military band section and there was a vocal team. You know how vocalists make a strong, rigid sound. Thinking that such a way of singing will be helpful for my vocal nodules. I tried to follow them. Doing so, led my tone to go down. And the sound to be rigid, strong

Bella: So the sound became deeper?

Changsub: While doing the musical, I also followed the artists there. And I was able to immerse into the song

Bella: Aren't BTOB CHANGSUB's sound and musical artist CHANGSUB's sound different?

Changsub: Yeah it's very different. Normally, when I sing, I naturally make air-half-sound-half sound. However, when I do musicals, I shouldn't do that. I need to make the stage full of sound

Bella: It's hard for me to fully grasp the idea with words. Can you show me an example?

Changsub: When you normally sing.,. You sing like this. But if you want to send the sound to the audience far away. You have to do it like this

Bella: More clear, wide, and rigid sound. I think people who are watching this can notice the difference easily

Bella: Before becoming a singer, what kind of music did you do?

Changsub: My original dream was not a singer. I wanted to become a professional athlete. But because my injury worsened, the doctor told me to stop doing sports. Since I was young, people told me that I am good at singing and I liked to sing. So I decided to sing. Also, people told me that I can go to college just by singing well. So I was like "this is it" I need to go to the university with this

Bella: It's true to a certain extent

Changsub: Until then I didn't know. It was very new to me to know that I can go to college by singing. I worked hard to sing well so that I can enter the university I even went to a singing competition and win

Bella: You were able to enter H university which is the best university for practical music. And I heard that the admission rate was around 0.2%

Changsub: Yeah, that's what I heard
