Soyou: Not when I was a trainee but more like when I was preparing to be trainee? Like before having audition. Back in the days!

Bella: Listening to you sing, I can't stop thinking about your vocal ability. You're well-known for having a husky voice and you use a lot of respiration. Did you make that style on purpose?

Soyou: Husky voice was there since I was young.

Soyou: At debut, my company tried to hide my husky voice first. I sang "push push baby~" like this. I suppressed it. It was like Brave Brothers' style. But when I started doing duets... I think my style of vocal was formed due to the song "Officially missing you" of Gigs. Back then... I had to record my vocal part but my voice condition was so down because I was so tired from Idol Track & Field Competition a day before. My voice was like this so we were like "let's not do it" but I asked them if I could try singing the chorus part. My voice was hoarse but I sustained my voice as much as I could.

Bella: That part was really good.

Soyou: After that part, my voice condition started to get better and... So after that song, when others request me to sing, they asked me to sing in Soyou style so that style of singing became my own.
