============================
Sam was looking at his spaghetti that was on his fork. He sniffed at it. Him, Dean and (M/n) were eating at a table.
"You know, this chicken isn't half bad." Dean said.
"Great." Sam put his fork down and slides his plaate towards his brother. "Finish mine."
Dean stabbed Sam's chicken with his fork and moved it to his own plate. "You gonna eat, (M/n)?"
"Demons don't need food to sustain themselves." The boy replied, cross-legged on the seat.
"Oh, right."
"All right, so lets go back over this. Spirit suspect number one is Mark Moody, right?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, psycho killer extraordinaire. Satanism, ritual murderer, died in jail."
"You sure it's him?"
"Pretty sure."
"Dean, considering our circumstances, I'm gonna need a little bit better than "pretty sure.""
"Really pretty sure. Moody died of a heart attack, which is what all the victims in here are dying of. He died in the old cell block, which they closed after he croaked, 30 years ago. They just opened that back up. That's when the killings started."
"So you think his spirit was realeased somehow?"
"Mm-hmm."
"But whaat if he was already cremated?"
"I'm guessing there's something in the old block that's keeping him around. And whatever it is, e got and find it." Dean put the fork down. "I'm done."
The three got up and walked away. Sam bumped into a tattooed prisoner.
"Sorry. I-"
"Watch where you're going."
"Yeah. Sure. I just-" (M/n) walked back over, seeing Sam and the tattooed man sanding.
"He said he was sorry."
"(M/n)...."
"You talking to me?" The bigger man looked at the boy. "Are you talking to me?"
"Yeah, meat head. I'm talking to you. Let it go, trust me."
The man walked away.

"Come on, (M/n),"
"If anyone gives you any trouble, tell me and I'll give them a lesson."
The tattooed man was talking to a very large man, who was sitting at a table nearby. The very large man got up.
"(M/n), I really think we should go now." Sam urged, compared to the other man, (M/n) was way smaller.
"This'll be fun."
The very large man cam over with the tattooed man.
"Look, we can end this now. No harm, no foul."
The tattooed man threw a punch at (M/n). The boy caught his wrist and held him from behind.
"This is your last chance."
The tattooed man broke (M/n)'s hold. Who rabbed him again and slammed the man in the wall. The tattooed man stomped on the demons foot, who stepped back and kicked the man in the groin and then sent him flying backwards to the ground with another kick.
Everyone was looking at (M/n), impressed.
"That's enough!" A warden yelled, him and a guard walk up. "On your feet, Lucas."
"Yes, sir, boss." The man named Lucas said.
The warden took out his baton and held it under (M/n)'s chin. "What's your name?"
"(L/n)."
"Well, (L/n)....not a good start.....Solitary. You too, Lucas."
The gaurds grab Lucas and (M/n). Before they left, the demon looked at the older Winchester and winked at him.
~Later~
In a lone cell, (M/n) was sitting, leaning against the wall. Lucas in the cell next to him.
"I wish I had a baseball."
The man looked through a small window-slit in the door of his cell, across the hallway from (M/n)'s cell.
"What? What'd you say?"
"I said, I wish I had a baseball."
"Yeah? Well, I wish I had a bat, so I could bash your frickin' head in."
The demon laughed a bit. "Have fun with that."
Soon, the lights started to flicker and (M/n) could see his breath.
"Oh, crap."
He looked through the cellroom slit and sees a clock in the hallway, which read 8:30. The second hand stuck past the 4. The lights were flickering with a static-y sound.

"Lucas, listen to me. Stay very still."
The man looked through his window, seeing two narrow eyes looking back at him. He gasped and backed up in alarm. A hand grabs him from behind and turned him around. Lucas grimaced, then screamed as dark veins pop out on and spread across his face. (M/n) looked through his own narrow window, even though he couldn't see what was happening.
~Little Rock Police Station~
Henriksen was reading a file at his desk. Reidy was looking at paperwork in the background. Mara Daniels walked in.
"Henriksen." She said.
"Hey, Daniels."
"Can I have a word?"
"Have a seat. What's on your mind?"
"I've been going through the Winchester charges. And I gotta say, there are some weird inconsistencies."
"Welcome to my world."
"I talked to a cop in Baltimore who swears up and down these boys saved her life and helped her catch a killer. And there's a witness to your bank robbery in Milwaukee. She wears Sam and Dean saved her life."
"Saved her form what?" The man asked.
"She was a little unclear on that. But I really wanted to talk about (M/n) (L/n)."
"What about him?"
"Have you seen his background?" Daniels asked, she was holding a file, more then likely the boys.
"No." She slapped it down on Henriksen's desk.
"Take a look. His doesn't make sense. Went to (Name of college), in (home town), was top of his class. Never got in trouble. Did some extra work here and there. Worked at (work) as a (whatever you work as). He had a girlfriend. Looked like he was on the road to success. Then he goes missing for a few weeks. His girlfriend filed a missing persons report. Few days later, a few thugs walk in. Saying they had killed him in a mugging. They ran for it, then a few hours later they go back to get rid of the body, but it was missing. Now he's sitting in a jail, alive and well."
"That is odd."
"Very. Something is not right about this kid, Henriksen. Corpses don't just up and walk away."
~Green River county detention center, rec yard~
Dean was playing cards with a prisoner at an outdoor table. (M/n) standing next to him, watching.
"Call." Dean said.
"Three aces." The prisoner said.
"That's a bad beat. That is a bad beat..." The prisoner picks up the cigarettes that are on the table between them. Dean had a large pile of cigarettes next to him. Sam was standing nearby, watching the game.
"...But, see, I'm full...3s over aces." The prisoner drops the cigs, slams his hand down on the table and stands up.
Dean laughed and held his hands out. "Ha ha ha, sorry. Hey, it's a cruel game, my friend."
The man flings down his cards and walks off. Sam sat down across from his brother, who gathered the cigarettes he won.
"It's like picking low hanging fruit."
"You don't even smoke."
"Are you kidding me? This is the currency of the realm." Sam narrowed his eyes and changed the subject. "Look. I got a lead on Moody."
"Me too. His spirit paid a little visit last night." (M/n) said.
"What?" Sam looked at the demon.
"The clock stopped, the flickering lights, cold spot...."
"Well, what happened?"
"He walked right by me. Lucas wasn't so lucky. I mean, the way he was screaming....The guy was a jerk, but he didn't deserve to go like that." The boy was looking down.
"What'd you find out on Moody?" Dean asked.
"Yeah, so, I think I know where we might find his remains. Blood in his old cell."
"Blood? I thought it was a heart attack."
"It was, after the guards worked him over. I mean, apparently there was so much blood in there, they had trouble mopping it out."
"How we gonna get in?"
"I got a plan."
Dean smiled. "That's the Sammy I know. Come on, man, you're like Clint Eastwood from 'Escape from Alcatraz'."
"Problem is, if even we do find something, how are we gonna burn it? We don't have any accelerant."
"It's a good thing I'm like James Garner from 'The Great Escape'." He stood up and holds two hands full of cigarettes. "Hey fellas! Who's ready to deal?"

Hi Everyone, If you want to learn a little bit more about the book before deciding whether to read it, I've included a bullet point list of some of the things that the story features: -A strong but not overpowered protagonist. -Magic -Characters that make reasonable decisions and have more personality than a box of cardboard. -A standard litrpg progression with plenty of level ups and blue screens. -A highly customizable Skill system. For example, with enough Skill Points, Mana Bolt can be upgraded to shoot out multiple orbs at once, follow targets to become undodgeable, or simply hit harder. Anything is possible with the right combination of Skill Paths. -Interesting fight scenes -A morally grey main character. They’re not mustache-twirling levels of evil, but they’re no stranger to crime. -The apocalypse -Frequent updates

A Fractal Divide
Lesivar is a city in ascendancy. With recent innovations in magical crafting, the common people are experiencing a boom in comfort and wealth. The nobility, long used to being the stewards of knowledge and power, struggle to adapt to the new world in which they find themselves. A precarious balance has been maintained throughout, but forces stir beneath the surface threatening to send the city spiraling into chaos. This is my first attempt at writing anything longer than a short story, and I welcome any feedback or corrections. I'm posting this as I write, with each chapter going live upon completion. My current pace is about a chapter a day, which I expect to take my through the end of November. From there, I'm shooting for a chapter every two-three days until the book is completed, along with an editing pass of what is already up. I'm planning on three POV characters with unique insight into the story as it unfolds. Each chapter will contain only one POV. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Jalan Suram : The 100 Fire Holders
"Why us?" Still staring at the unusually stationary fire of the candle he was holding, Agung voiced the questions in our mind. "Out of 2 million people living in this city, why are we the chosen ones?" As if on cue, the eerie laughter of children could be heard above us. Holding our own candle tightly, we resolved to ignore them and continued our discussion. It was a matter of life or death after all. More than half of the initial participants had fallen and the building became more crowded as the result. There were now more ghosts than the living and each step was filled with danger from the unknown. Either we solved all the questions now or we would become another addition to the ghost camp. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was one thing Novita found out after she accepted an invitation to a suspicious event from a seemingly legal company. Crowded didn't exactly mean safe. As more and more variables were added to the dangerous ritual, the higher the risk of death. At the same time, the higher the risk was, the better the rewards for it. But in the end, was it worth it? Note : This series was posted on scribblehub.com under the same name.
