~Church~
Dean and (M/n) hurried back into the room.
"Sam, come on, get the lead out." Dean saw his brother passed out on the floor, and rushed over. "Sammy? Sammy! Hey!"
Sam jerked awake, groaning.
"Y'okay?"
"Yeah. Yeah. 'm okay." He said, looking at the stone angel, stunned.
"Come on." Both men hauled the youngest Winchester to his feet and guided him into the sanctuary, Dean had his hand on his arm and shut the door behind them.
"You saw it, didn't you? Didn't you?"
"Yeah. Yeah. Dean, I saw an angel."
"Angel my ass, I would have felt the prescience." The demon spat.
"So. What makes you think you saw a, uh, angel?" Dean asked.
"It just, it appeared before me and I just, this feeling washed over me, you know? Like, like peace. Like grace." (M/n) rolled his eyes.
"Okay, Ecstasy Boy, maybe we'll get you some glow sticks and a nice Dr. Seuss hat, huh?"
"Dean, I'm serious. It spoke to me, it knew who I was."
"It was just a spirit, Sam. And its not the fist one to be able to read people's minds." The demon growled and sat down at a pew. "Okay, let me guess. You were personally chosen to smite some sinner. You've just got to wait for some divine signal, is that it?"
"Yeah, actually."
"Great. I don't suppose you asked what this alleged bad guy did?" Dean asked.
"Actually I did, Dean. And the angel told me. He hasn't done anything. Yet. But he will."
"Oh, this is, this is....I don't believe this." The older Winchester paced.
"Dean, the angel hasn't been wrong yet! Someone's going to do something awful, and I can stop it!"
"Well, I'm about to do something awful and see if your so called angel comes to help." (M/n) snared.
"You know, you're supposed to be bad too, maybe, maybe I should just stop you right now."
"You know what, Dean? I don't understand! Why can't you even consider the possibility?"

"What, that this is an angel?"
"Yes! Maybe we're hunting an angel here, and we should stop! Maybe this is God's will!"
"It's not God's will!!!" The demon stormed out of his seat and walked over to the young Winchester, who backed up. "Look here, psychic, I know God and he wouldn't order one of his flying monkeys to kill someone! I've killed thousands of innocents and they decided themselves hat they want me dead. Angels would love nothing more the to kill a demon...not a human. Cuz their god is against that type of thing. Got it?!" The Winchester just nodded.
"And I have proof that we're dealing with a spirit." Dean said.
~Crypt~
Father Gregory' tombstone was covered in creeping vines. Deana and Sam crouched before it.
"That looks like-"
"It's wormwood. Plant associated with the dead, specifically the ones that are not at rest. I don't see it growing anywhere else, except over the murdered priest's marker. It's him, Sam."
"Maybe."
"Maybe?"
"Dean, I don't know what to think."
"Okay. You want some more proof? I'll give you more proof."
"How?"
"We'll summon Gregory's spirit."
"What? Here? In the church?" Sam asked.
"Yeah. Yeah, we just need a few odds and ends, and that, uh, séance ritual in dad's journal."
"Oh, a séance, great. Hope Whoopi's available."
"That's funny, actually." Dean said, deadpanned. "Seriously. If Father Gregory's spirit is around, a séance will bring him right to us. If it's him, then we'll put him to rest."
"But if it's an angel, it won't show. Nothin' 'll happen."
"If it's an angel, it'll show. And if it is, I want it." (M/n) said.
~Street, night~
The three walked out of a small grocery store, Sam was holding a paper sack and smiling.
"Dude. I'll admit we've gone pretty ghetto with spell work before, but this takes the cake. I mean, a SpongeBob placemat instead of an altar cloth?"
"We'll just put it SpongeBob side down." Sam laughed, then stops in shock, staring at something across the street. A young man holding a bunch of flowers, a bright white light glows behind him."
"Dean, that's it."
"What?"
"That's the sign!"
"Where?"
"Right there, right behind that guy! That's him, Dean. And we have to stop him." Sam started to go after him, but Dean stops him."
"Wait a minute."
"What are you doing? Let me go."
"You're not going to go kill somebody because a ghost told you to, are you insane?"
"Dean, I'm not insane, I'm not going to kill him. I'm going to stop him."

"Define "stop", huh? I mean, what are you going to do?"
"Dean, please, he's going to hurt someone, you know it."
"All right, come on."
The young man got into a car and starts it up, pulling away. Dean got in the driver side of his car and starts it, Sam tried to get in the other side but the door is locked.
"Dean. Unlock my door."
"You're not killing anyone, Sam. I got this guy, you go do the séance."
"Dean!"
Dean pulled away, following the young man at a short distance. The man stops at a corner and gets out with the bunch of flowers, handing them to a woman waiting on the corner. They both get in the car and drive off again.
~Church Crypt~
(M/n) was already waiting for Sam, who took the materials and set them up. A circle of small white candles, a large black candle in the middle, the placemat and John's journal. (M/n) lit the candles and picked up the journal and read. Sam was impressed that he knew what to do.
After the demon read he sprinkles some herb on the black candle and it flares once, brightly.
"What are you doing? What is this?" Father Reynolds walked in. The demon growled, eyes flashed black, he wasn't turned enough for the priest to see his eyes.
"Uh, Father, please. I can explain. Um...actually, maybe I can't. Um. This is a, a séance."
"A séance? Young man, you are in the House of God."
"It's based on early Christian rites, if that helps any."
"Enough. Both of you are coming with me." The priest started pulled the two to the exit, a familiar bright glow builds behind them. They turn, Father Reynolds in awe, Sam in disappointment, and (M/n) in a little pride.
"Oh my god! Is that...is that an angel?" The priest asked.
"No, it's not. It's just Father Gregory."
The bright glow dims and coalesces to reveal a young, handsome priest, Father Gregory."
"Thomas!?"
"I've come in answer to your prayers"
Sam approaches the spirit cautiously.
"Sam. I thought I sent you on your path. You should hurry."
"Father, I'm sorry. But you're not an angel."
"Of course I am."
"I'm sorry, but you're a man. You're a spirit. If you were an angel, you would know about me and what I've done. Now you need to rest." (M/n) said quietly.
"I was a man. But now I'm an angel. I was on the steps of the church. And I felt that bullet pierce right through me. But there was no pain. And suddenly I could see...everything. Father Reynolds, I saw you, praying and crying here. I came to help you."
"Help me how? Those murders, that was because of you?"
"I received the Word of Good, He spoke to me, told me to smite the wicked. I'm carrying out his will."
"You're driving innocent people to kill." Reynolds said.
"Those innocent people are being offered redemption. Some people need redemption. Don't they, Sam?" Sam looks away.
"How can you call this redemption?"
"You can't understand it now. But the rules of man and the rules of God are two very different things."
"Those people. They're locked up." Sam said.
"No, they're happy. They've found peace, beaten theirs demons. And I've given them the keys to Heaven."
"No. No, this is vengeance, it's wrong. Thomas, this goes against everything you believed. You're lost, misguided."
"Father. No, I'm not misguided."
"You are not an angel, Thomas. Men cannot be angels."
"But...but, I, I don't understand. You prayed for me to come."
"I prayed for God's help. Not this. What you're doing is not God's will. 'Thou shalt not kill'. That's the word of God."
Meanwhile Dean is fighting the evil young man.....supposedly evil young man.
Father Gregory is staring, bewildered, at his own headstone. He turns to face the three.
"Let us help you."
"No."
"It's time to rest, Thomas, to be at peace Please, let me give you Last Rites."
The spirit nodded in resignation, the priest lifted his hands in prayer.
"Oh Holy Hosts above, I call upon thee as a servant of Christ to sanctify our actions this day, in fulfillment of the will of God." He gasped as Gregory flickered like a distorted image.
"Father Reynolds?"
"Rest."
The young man knelt down and the priest held a hand over his forehead.
"I call upon the Archangel Raphael, Master of the Air, to make open the way. Let the fire of the Holy Spirit now descend, that this being might be awakened to the worked beyond.
Gregory glows brightly, then vanished. Reynolds lowers his hand in awe.
~Street~
Dean was chasing the young man at a more frantic rate now, Dean gripped the steering wheel tightly. They cut across lanes, over grass, and generally cause mayhem, at a cross-street, a small pickup truck carrying long metal pipes screeched to a halt in front of the man's car. A pipe spins off the truck bed, bounced once on the ground and plowing straight through his windshield. It impaled him straight through the chest. Dean stopped the car in shock and got out.
"Holy...."
~Hotel Room~
Sam was packing, looking sad, dull, demoralized. The demon was sitting in a chair, looking at the journal.
"I'm sorry." Sam said softly.
"Huh?" It startled the demon.
"I'm sorry. For the hassle I gave you. You were the one who was in heaven. You know when there's an angel or not."
"Sam, stop talking."
"No, seriously. I should know better then question you."
(M/n) smiled a bit. "Can we just never mention this ever again?"
Sam smiled a bit and nodded.

No More Respawns
Synopsis: The first time Allen died, he was forced back into a living hell where death is temporary, and power is all that matters. With evil and depravity as the rule, tragedy becomes comedy and life becomes an act. Only a deal with a shady god can get him back to his old life, but what happens if there’s nothing left to save? Maybe hell isn’t so bad if you have infinite lives… until you don’t. Needless to say, it’s all fun and games until there’s no more respawns. Foreword: This story is meant primarily as an action adventure and secondarily as a dark and nihilistic comedy. It may not be readily apparent in the beginning, but that's what I have planned (I feel the need to emphasize the dark; don’t rage at me if it gets too ‘traumatizing’ or something). I’m going to take my time with this, so it won’t immediately inundate you with doom and gloom. This is also a comedy, remember? On that note, if for some cursed reason you just can't handle either the references or the jokes, I am willing to battle in the comments. Anyway, I still put a significant amount of effort into the system, so I hope you enjoy that part. It is a little bulky, I'll admit to that, but I wanted to try something new and its more fun when there's more depth to it. Regardless, I still have a lot of fun doing math in the middle of writing a fictional story (/s). I also want to see if I can keep from messing up the pacing. Many times, I end up going too fast because I'm afraid of the story getting boring, which tends to ironically have the opposite effect. I'm still learning I suppose; we'll see how things go. Lastly, please leave reviews and comments, they really mean a lot to me and (usually) help me improve considerably. I'll be asking for feedback in the polls and I do still check the old ones from time to time. Notes: The story takes a bit of time to develop; give it time if you're here for drama, grimdark, or antihero. The system is all blue boxes and I'm not half-assing the numbers. Chapters will be between 1k and 2k words usually. I always use the oxford coma, fight me. Might drop if rating falls below 4 stars, idk. It depends on how my life is going. Cover drawn by yours truly in MS paint. (I have skill, I know)
