============================
~Blue Rose Motel~
The recording Ava and Sam got continued. Sam was leaning over the table, looking more concerned.
"What else does the yellow-eyed man say?" A voice said.
"He has plans for me. He says there's a war coming. That people like me, we're going to be the soldiers. Everything's about to change." And the recording ended.
"He's not talking about us, right?" Ava asked.
"Yeah, I think he is."
"But how can we turn into that?"
"I don't-" The window above Sam's head shattered as it was hit with a bullet. He dived to the floor with Ava, shielding her body with hi.
"Get down!"
"Oh my god!"
Across the street, Gordon in on a rooftop with a sniper rifle, he continues t take aim and fire at the motel room.
"What's happening?"
"I don't know."
As Gordon is about to take another head shot at Sam, (M/n) jumped him rom behind. "Wassup bitch?" The demon kicked the man hard, then pinned him down on his back, hitting him over and over again in the face. He then grabs Gordon by the collar. "You do anything to that boy, I'll rip you to shreds!"
"Hold on, I wanna say something." The demon tilted his head before holy water was throw at his face. (M/n) got off Gordon, covering his face, screaming in pain.
"(M/n)!" Gordon grabbed his rifle and slammed it into Dean twice, knocking him out. He got up and walked over to the boy curled up on the ground, blood gushing from his lip. (M/n) looked up at the man, growling. His face had burn wounds that were healing and his eyes were black.
~Later, on the roof top~
Ava and Sam investigated the roof from where Gordon was shooting at them.
"Wait, I don't understand. Shouldn't we be talking to the cops?"
"Trust me, that wouldn't do us much good." The young Winchester picked up a shell. "These are .233 caliber. Subsonic rounds. The guy must have put a suppressor on the rifle."
"Dude, who are you?"
"Oh. I just, uh, I just watch a lot of TJ Hooker." He pulled out his cell phone.
"Who are you calling?" The girl asked.
"My brother. I think we definitely need help."
~Cabin somewhere~
Dean is tied to a chair, and Gordon is holding the phone to his ear.
"Hello?" Dean asked.
"Dean!"
"Sam, I've been looking for you."
"Yeah. Look, I'm in Indiana, uh Lafayette."
"I know."
"You do?"
"Yeah, I talked to Ellen. Just got here myself. It's a real funky town. You ditched us, Sammy."
"Yeah, I'm sorry. Look, right now there's someone after me."
"What? Who?"
"I don't know, that's what we need to find out. Where are you?"
"I'm staying at, uh, 5637 Monroe St. Why don't you meet me here?"
"Yeah. Sure." Sam hung up.
"Now, was that so hard?" Gordon asked.
"Bite me." Dean said, glancing to (M/n), who was tied in a chair also, but more securely. His arms, legs, and upper body was taped tightly to the chair, his mouth taped shut and a blindfold over his eyes. Underneath the chair was a devil's trap. Dean could see the boys chest moving up and down fast, and he knew that the demon was pissed.

~Back at the roof~
Sam was putting his phone away, looking worried.
"What is it?"
"My brother's in trouble."
"What?"
"He gave me a code word. Someone's got a gun on him."
"Code word?"
"Yeah. Funky town." He thought a minute. "Well, he thought of it. It's kind of a...long story.. I ....come on."
~Back to the cabin~
Gordon had his back to Dean and (M/n), he opened a canvas bag and starts pulling out weapons.
"So, Gordy. I know me, Sam, and (M/n) ain't exactly your favorite people, but don't you think this is a little extreme?"
"What, you think this is revenge?"
"Well, we did leave you tied up in your own mess for three days." Dean laughed. "Which was awesome. Sorry, I shouldn't laugh."
"Yeah. I was definitely planning on whuppin' your ass for that."
"Mm-hmmm."
"But that's not what this is. This isn't personal. I'm not a killer, Dean. I'm a hunter. And your brother's fair game." He slams a knife into it's sheath.
~Street~
San and Ava approach her blue VW beetle.
"I don't think I should leave."
"I want you out of harms way, Ava."
"What about you?"
"Harm's way doesn't really bother me."
"No, but you are walking right into my vision. I mean, this is how you die."
"Doesn't matter. It's my brother."
"Maybe I can help!" Ava exclaimed.
"You've done all you can. Just, just go back to your fiancé."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure. Go home, Ava, You'll be safe there."
She got in her car. "Well, just, promise me you'll call, then. I mean, when you get your brother, just to let me know that everything's all right."
"I promise."
~Cabin~
Gordon was leaning against a pillar, cradling a rifle and speaking casually. "See, I was doing an exorcism down in Louisiana. Teenage girl, seemed routine, some low-level demon. But between all the jabbering and the head-spinning, the damn thing muttered something. About a coming war. And I don't think it meant to, it just kind of slipped out. But it was too late. Piqued my interest. And you can really make a demon talk, you got the right tools." His eyes glued on (M/n), who growled struggled against his restraints. "Don't worry, buddy. You get out of that chair, you won't be able to get out of that trap underneath ya."
"What happened tot he girl it was possessing?" Dean asked.
"She didn't make it."
The Winchester just shook his head. "Well, you're a on of a bitch." Gordon got up and slapped him.
"That's my momma you're talking about. Anyway. This demon tells me there are soldiers to fight in this coming war. Humans, fighting on hell's side. You believe that? I mean, they're psychics, so they're not exactly pure humans, but still. What kind of worthless scumbag have you got to be to turn against your own race?" Dean glared at the man before him. "But you know the biggest kick in the ass? This demon said I knew one of them. Our very own Sammy Winchester."
Dean chuckled. "Oh, this is...this is a whole new level of moronic, even for you."

"Yeah? Come on, Dean. I know. About Sam's visions. I know everything. Even about our great friend, (M/n) (L/n) here." He walked to the boy in the chair and slapped his hands on his shoulders. "Or should I say (D/n)?"
"Really? You know this because a demon told you?" The Winchester laughed. "Yeah, and it wasn't lying."
"Hey, Dean. I'm not some reckless yahoo, okay? I did my homework. Made damn sure it was true. Look, you're got your Roadhouse connections, I got mine. It's how I found Sammy in the first place." He crosses to the corner and sits. "About a month ago I found another one of these freaks here in town. He could deep-fry a person just by touching them."
"Yeah, did he kill anyone?"
"Well, besides Mr. Tinkles the cat? No. But he was working up to it. They're all gonna be killers, Dean. We've got to take them all out. And that means Sammy too." He cocked his rifle.
"You think Sam's stupid enough to walk through that front door?"
"No, I don't. Especially since I'm sure you found a way to warn him. Even though I covered (N/n)'s mouth so he couldn't escape and covered his eyes so he wouldn't be able to mind control me, I'm sure he sent a message to Sammy or something." The demon lowered his head, shaking it. "Ha. You really think I'm that stupid?" Dean raises an eyebrow and (M/n) nodded. "No. Sammy's going to scope the place first, see me covering the front door. So he's going to take the back. And when he does he'll hit the tripwire. Then-" He took out a grenade from his bag. "Boom."
"Sam's not gonna fall for a friggin' tripwire."
"Maybe you're right. That's why I'll have a second one. Hey, look. I'm sorry. I wish I didn't have to do this, I really do. But for what it's worth, it'll be quick."
~Later that night~
Gordon was setting up the tripwire across the back doorway, he returns to the room where Dean and (M/n) were in and straddled a chair.
"Come on, man. I know Sam. Okay, better than anyone. He's got more of a conscience that I do, I mean, the guy feels guilty searching the Internet for porn."
"Maybe you're right. But one day, he's going to be a monster."
"How? Huh? How's a guy like Sam become a monster?"
"Beats me. But he will."
"No, you don't know that!"
"I'm surprised at you, Dean. Getting all emotional. I'd heard you were more of a professional than this. Look, let's say you were cruising around in that car of yours and you had little Hitler riding shotgun, right? Back when he was just some goofy, crappy artist. But you knew what he was going to turn into someday. You'd take him out, no questions, am I right?"
"That's not Sam."
"Yes it is. You just can't see it yet. Dean, it's his destiny. Look, I'm sympathetic. He's your brother, you love the guy. This has got to hurt like hell for you." He pulled out a scarf and gagged Dean with it. "But here's the thing. It would wreck him. But your dad? If it really came right down to it, he would have had the stones to do the right thing here. But you're telling me you're not the man he is?" Dean just glared at the man.
Outside Sam approached the cabin. He saw Dean, (M/n), and Gordon through the boarded-up window, then runs around the back. He tries the door and finds it locked, he pulled out his lock pick and works it open.
The boys heard the clicks of the door.
"Ya hear him?" In the back room, Sam gets the door open and creeps in. "Here he comes."
Dean flinches helplessly as the first grenade explodes, he screamed at Gordon through his gag.
"Hold on. Not yet. Just wait and see." As the second grenade goes off, Dean struggles violently, choke-sobbing through the gag. Gordon crosses the room and stops beside him.
"Sorry, Dean." He goes in the back room, rifle ready. He sees Sam's smoking boots on the ground, just like in Ava's vision. He smiles but is still wary. As he turns away from the bac door. Sam raises a gun to the back of Gordon's head and cocks it.
"Drop the gun." The Winchester said lowly.
"Shouldn't take your shoes off around here. You might get tetanus."
"Put it down now!" He shouted.
In the front room, Dean turns, hearing Sam's voice and grunts in relief. In the back, Gordon slowly lowers the rifle to the floor.
"You wouldn't shoot me, would you, Sammy?"
"It's not me you gotta worry about."
Gordon tilted his head to the side, soon a hand gripped his shoulder from behind and threw him across the room. After the haze in Gordon's eyes went away, he looked to see (M/n) towering over him.
"How the hell did you get out?"
"You forgot one thing, kid. I'm a Knight of Hell, meaning I'm not like your most normal demons." The two started fighting. Sam went in the front to get his brother out of the restraints, who hugged him tightly. Then turned to get Gordon.
"That son of a..."
"Dean. No."
"I let him live one. I'm not making that same mistake again."
"Trust me. Gordon's taken care of. Come on."
As the two walked out, Sam staggered. Moments later a very beaten up Gordon emerged, a gun in each hand, and begins firing. Sam and Dean duck and run for cover.
"Come on! You call this taken care of? What the hell are we doing?"
"Just trust me on this, all right?"
As Gordon approaches, three police cars pull into the clearing and surround Gordon. They watched him get arrested, (M/n) soon showed up behind them.
~Later~
Dean called Ellen, and Sam was calling Ava, but wasn't getting anything.
"Everything all right?"
"Yeah, I hope so."
"Well, Gordon should be reaching for the soap for the next few years at least."
"Yeah. If they pin Scott Carey's murder on him. And if he doesn't bust out."
~Later in Ava's house~
The boys walk in Ava's house.
"Hello? Is anybody home?"
They go into the bedroom to find Ava's fiancé dead, face-up ono the bed, his shirt ad the sheets are soaked in blood.
"Oh my god."
(M/n) ran his finger along the window sill.
"Well....this isn't good....Sulfur. He's been here."
Sam saw something on the floor, picking it up. It was Ava's engagement ring.
"Ava." He whispered.

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
