==========================
The boys were out of the Impala, chilling out....at least (M/n) was, who was laying on the hood of the car, sunglasses on. Dean and Sam started arguing.
"You'd what, Dean?"
"That I'd have to kill you. He said that I might have o kill you, Sammy."
"Kill me? What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"I don't know."
"I mean, e must have some kind of reason for saying it, right? Did he know the demon's plans for me? Am I supposed to go Darkside or something? What else did he say, Dean?"
"Nothing, that's' it. I swear."
"How could you not have told me this?"
"Because it was dad, and he begged me not too."
"Who cares?! Take some responsibility for yourself, Dean! You had no right to keep this from me!" Sam yelled.
"I don't know much about human "laws" but, I think he does have a right to not tell you anything." The boy on the hood said.
"Shut up!" Sam snapped.
"Keep (M/n) out of this. You think I wanted this? Huh? I wish to god he'd never opened his mouth. Then I wouldn't have to walk around with this screaming in my head all day."
Sam turned away and took a few steps away, fuming. "We've just got to figure out what's going on, then, what the hell all this means."
"We do? I've been thinking about this, I think we should just lay low. You know? At least for a while. It'd be safer. And that way I can make sure-"

"What? That I don't turn evil? That I don't turn into some kind of killer."
"I never said that."
"Jeez, if you're not careful you will have to waste me one day, Dean."
"I never said that! Dammit, Sam, this whole thing it spinning out of control. All right? You're immune to some weirdo demon virus, and I don't even know what the hell anymore. And you're pissed at me, I get it. That's fine, I deserve it. But we lay low until we figure out our next move, okay?"
"Forget it."
"Sam, please...Give me some time to think....Please?" The older Winchester begged. The youngest nodded.
~Later~
~The Roadhouse~
Sam entered the Roadhouse. Ellen was behind the bar and looks up as he approached. She smiles.
"Sam."
"Hey, Ellen. You don't seem that surprised to see me."
"Well, your brother's been calling, worried sick, looking for you."
"Yeah. Figured he would."
"What's going on between you two?"
"So, um, how's Jo?" He asked.
She nodded. "Well, I don't really know."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I haven't seen her in weeks. She sends a postcard now and again."
"Well, what happened?"
"Well, after she worked that job with you boys, she decided she wanted to keep on hunting. I said not under my roof and she said fine."
"So, I'm probably the last person you want to see right now."
Ellen chuckled. "Oh, don't get me wrong. I wish I could blame the hell out of you boys. It'd be easier. Truth I, it's not your fault. Sam. None of it is."
"What about (M/n)?"
"He hasn't done anything to us yet...So he's good on my list. What about you? You don't see to fond of the kid."

Sam chuckled and looked down. "I don't know. I just feel like maybe he's hiding more then he wants to say. Maybe he's behind this whole thing, I don't know."
"Well...Dean has told me that (M/n) seemed to have a grudge against most demons. You said he's running from them, didn't ya?" The Winchester nodded. "Then that's gotta tell you he's more then likely not against you boys."
"Yeah...."
"So, what's the real reason your here?"
"I need help."
Later, Ellen and Sam were talking to Ash.
"What am I looking for, Sam?"
"Other people, other psychics, like me. As many as possible, and I need a nationwide search."
"But I thought there was no way to track them all down. Not all of them had nursery fires like you did." Ellen said.
"Well, no, but some had to. Start there."
~Later~
Ash emerged from his back room with a piece of paper in his hand. "Done and done."
"That was fast."
"Well, apparently, that's my job. Make the monkey dance on the keyboard."
"Just tell us what you got, Ash."
"Four folks fir the profile nationwide. Born in '83, mother died in a nursery fire, the whole shebang."
"Four? That's it?"
"Sam Winchester from Kansas. Max Miller from Michigan. Andrew Gallagher from Oklahoma, and another one named Scott Carey."
"Kind of. The Arbor Hill Cemetery in Lafayette, Indiana."
"So he's dead?"
"Killed, about a month ago."
"Killed how?"
"Stabbed. Parking lot. Fuzz don't have much, no suspects."
"All right, thank you." As he got up, Ash slapped his back, when he's out of eyeshot, Ash picked up Sam's half-full beer and starts drinking.
"Where are you going?" Ellen called out to Sam.
"Indiana."
"Sam? I gotta call Dean, I've gotta let him know where you are."
"Elle
. I'm trying to find answers, about who I am. And my brother means well, but he can't protect me from that. Please.
~On the road, at night~
Dean was driving, (M/n) was sitting next to him.
"Well, this feels a bit weird sitting up here again." The demon said.
Dean smiled a bit and chuckled. "Yeah, it's been awhile." Soon the Winchesters phone rang, he picked it up. "Hello?
"It's Ellen."
"Hey, have you heard form Sam?"
"I have, but he made me promise not to tell you where he is."
"Come on, Ellen, please. Something bad could be going on here, and I swore I'd look after that kid."
"Now Dean, they say you can't protect your loved ones forever. Well, I say screw that. What else if family for? He's in Lafayette, Indiana."
Dean smiled. "Thank you."
~Blue Rose Motel~
Dean pulled into the parking lot in the Impala, when he sees Sam through the window of his room, he sighs in relief.
"Oh, thank god your okay."
"Looks like he's more then ok." Dean looked at where the demon was looking at and saw Ava through the window.
"That sly dog!"

8 157The Electric Messiah
Volume Two of the Ontogeny series. A time of unprecedented crisis has come. During a mission to the edge of the known world, Brigadier Weyland James discovered that humanity faces a threat so terrible that the sane mind can barely conceive it. Failure to meet this threat would mean the end of human civilisation, mankind thrown back to a life of wandering savagery, easy prey for the true masters of the planet who see humans as mere animals, theirs to use and exploit as they see fit.Hope exists, if all mankind can unite, putting aside their petty differences for the greater good, but the truth is so unbelievable that the Brigadier faces an almost impossible task in convincing the leaders of the human world. His task is made even harder by the fact that several governments have been infiltrated by agents of the enemy, who are using their influence to sow seeds of war and chaos. The Brigadier is not mankind's only hope, though. In Helberion, a small group of scientists, struggling to make a major scientific breakthrough, is being hampered by assassination and sabotage. Is this the work of the enemy of mankind? King Leothan hopes it is, because it would mean that the enemy fears this new science, that it could be used to create a powerful weapon against them. A weapon that could be the Saviour of Mankind. The Electric Messiah... This is the sequel to Ontogeny. If you haven't read that book yet you must read it before you read this book.
