~Clinic~
Dr. Lee was looking in the microscope again, Pam was huddling against a far wall.
"What if we all have it? What if we all go cray?"
"You've got to stay calm. All we can do is wait. The Marshal's bringing help."
"I can't...I...I've got to go."
"Pam!"
"No, you don't understand. My boyfriend's out there, I gotta make sure he's okay." She hurried out of the lab, Sam followed her all the way to the lobby.
"All right, wait, wait. Plesase. Lookk, I know you're upset, all right But it's safer if you stay here for now. Help is coming." Soon the Impala pulled up. "There they are."
"Sammy? Open up!" Dean told his brother.. Sam opened up the door and let in Dean and Mark, both are still armed.
"Did you guys, uh, get to a phone?"
"Road block." The oldest looked at Mark. "I'm gonna have a word. Doc's inside."
"What's going on out there, Dean?" Sma asked.
"Man, I don't know, I feel like Chuck Heston in the Omega Man, I mean, Sarge is the only sane person I could find. What are we dealing with, do you know?"
"Yeah. Doc thinks it's a virus."
"Okay, great. What do you think?"
"I think she's right."
"Really?"
"Yeah. And I think the infected are trying to infect others with blood-to-blood contact. Oh, but it gets better. The us, the virus? Leaves traces of sulfur in the blood."
"A demonic virus?"
"Yeah, more like demonic germ warfare. At least it explains why I've been having visions."
"It's like a Biblical plague."
"Yeah. You don't know how right you are, Dean. I've been poring through dad's journal, found something about the Roanoke colony."
"They've got one!In here!" Mark suddenly yelled.
"What do you mean?" Dean asked, walking to where Mark and (M/n) were.
"The wife. She's infected." The demon said.
"We've gotta take care of this. We can't just leave her in there. My neighbors, they were strong. The longer we wait, the stronger she'll get."
Dean didn't hesitate to pull out his gun, and stalked into the lab.
"You're gonna kill Beverly Tanner?" Pam looked horrified.
"Doctor, could there be any treatment? Some kind of cure for this?"
"Can you cure it??"
"For god's sake, I don't even know what "it" is!"
"I told you, it's just a matter of time before she breaks through."
"Just leave her in there, you can't shoot her like an animal!"

"Sam."
They go to the door of the utility room, where Beverly was being held. Dean and Mark hold their guns ready, Sam carefully opened the door, the two men take up offensive positions. Inside, Beverly was huddled on the floor, knees drawn up. She jumped at their approach.
"Mark. what are you doing? Mark, it's, it's them! They locked me in jhere, they, they tried to kill me! They're infected, not me! Please, Mark! You've known me all your life! Please!" She yelled.
"You sure she's one of 'em?" Sam nodded, his face twisted in distress. As Mark pulled back, near tears, Dean stepped forward and fires twice.
~Clinic, night~
The shades were drawn, Mark peered through them cautiously. A few people were gathereing outside. Behind him, Sam pulled out a hunting knife and checks the blade as Dean loaded a gun. He handed one to (M/n). In the lab, Pam has dropped a vial of blood, she screamed.
"Oh god! Is there any on me? Am I okay?" She panicked.
"You're clean, you're okay."
"Why are we staying here? Please, let's just go!"
"No, we can't, because those things are everywhere."
Pam just sank down. "Oh god..."
"Hey, shh, shh." The doctor rubbed her back.
"She's right about one thing. We can't stay here. We've gotta get out of here, get to the Roadhouse? Somewhere. Let people know what's coming." Sam said quietly.
"Yeah, good point. Night of the Living Dead didn't exactly end pretty."
"Well, I'm not sure we've got a choice. Lots of folks up here are good with rifles, even with all your hardware we're, we're easy targets. So unless you've got some explosives..." Mark suggested. Sam glanced up at a shelf of medical supplies and got an idea.
"We could make some." He goes to the shelf and takes down a bottle of Potassium Chloride, just then, someone starts pounding frantically on the front door. The boys run out.
"Hey! Let me in, let me in! Please!"
"It's Duane Tanner!" Mark opened the door and lets Duane in. He has a backpack and is limping.
"Thank god."
"Duane, you okay?"
Dean leaned close to Sam, whispering. "Thaat's the guy that I, uh," He clicks his tongue. Sam nodded.
"Who else is in here?"
Dean grabbed his arm. "Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, easy there, chief. Hey doc! Give Duane a good once-over, would you?"
"Who are you?"
"Nevermind who I am. Doc."
"Yeah, okay." THe girl said.
"Duane. Where have you been?"
"On a fishing trip up by Roslyn. I came back this afternoon. I....I saw Roger McGill being dragged out of his house by people we know! They started cutting him with knives! I ran, I've been hiding in the woods ever since. Has anybody seen my mom and dad?"

Dean turned away. "Awkward...." He then noticed a gash on his leg. "How'd you get that?"
"I was running, I must have tripped."
"Tie him up, there's rope in there."
"Wait..."
Dean pulled his gun on Duane. "Sit down!"
"I'm sorry, Duane, he's right. We've gotta be careful."
"Careful? About what?"
"Did they bleed on you?"
"No, what the hell? No!" The boy yelled.
"Doc? Any way to know for sure, any test?" Sam asked Lee.
"I've studied Beverly's bloodwork backwards and forwards."
"My mom!"
"It took three hours for the virus to incubate. There's no knowing till they turn."
"Dean, I gotta talk to you." Sam told his brother. Dean glanced at Mark and (M/n), both nodded. Dean and Sam left the room.
"Go ahead and sit in the chair for us." The demon said.
"Guys, can you leave me with him real quick?" (M/n) asked. The others nodded and left the room. The boy looked at the man in the chair. "What the hell do you think your doing here? Starting this virus?"
"What the hell are you talking about?" Duane asked, looking at the boy oddly.
"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about."
Duane sighed, his eyes flashing black for a second. "Your not as stupid as I remember."
"I've grown."
"Ha! Right, and to answer your question. I'm here to see if the young Winchester is worthy."
(M/n) raised an eyebrow. "What the hell do you mean?"
"Oh, you'll see young (D/n). Oh, and if you tell them what I am, I'll make sure you wont see the light of day ever again."
~Skip to abit and everyone was in the room~
Dean walked in gun in his hand.
"No, you're not gonna....No, no, I swear it's not in me!" Duane cried.
"Oh god, we're all gonna die." Pam said.
"Maybe he's telling the truth." Mark commented.
"No, it's not him, not anymore."
"Stop it! Ask her, ask the doctor! It's not in m!"
"I...I can't tell."
The man in the chair started sobbing. "Please, don't. Don't please. I swear, it's not in me, it's not in me. I swear. No, don't."
"I got no choice."
The moment stretched on, Dean pointing the gun at Duane with his finger hovering over the trigger, Duane was still sobbing, the others watching in tense silence. Dean trembled before finally lowering the gun with a grimace.
"Damn it!"
The man sighed in relief as Dean left the room.
(M/n) later walked to where Sam and Dean were talking. "It's been over four hours. His blood is clean. The doctor doesn't think he's infected and wants to untie him." Sam nodded, Dean notice an odd tone in his voice.
"(M/n), you ok?" The boy just nodded, walking back to the other room without another word.
"Hey, Sam. We need more alcohol." Sam got up and goes into the dispensary and finds Pam already in there.
"How you holding up, Pam?"
"Good. It'll be over soon." She shut the door and locked it, Sam didn't notice.
"In fact, I've been waiting for this the whole time."
"For what?"
"To get you alone." She then lashed out and pinned him on the floor, grabbing a scalpel. Dean and Mark hear the commotion and arm themselves. She cut his chest and then her palm, placing it on his wound. Dean kicked the door and shot Pam three times in the back before she fell on the floor, dead. Sam held his hand out, Dean went to grab it, but Mark pulled him back.
"She bled on him. He's got the virus."
Sam pulled his hand back, realizing it was true.
~Lab~
Sam was now sitting on the stool, a bandage pressed on his chest. His eyes are down, and he looks near tears. The others surround him, Dean pacing angrily.
"Doc, check his wound again, would you? Doctor!"
"What's she need to examine him for? You saw what happened."
"Did her blood actually enter your wound?" The doc asked the young Winchester.
"Come on, of course it did!"
"We don't know that for sure."
"We can't take a chance."
"You know what we have to do."
"Nobody is shooting my brother."
"He isn't gonna be your brother much longer. You said it yourself."
"Nobody is shooting anyone!"
"You were gonna shoot me!"
"Shut up! All of you!" The demon yelled. Mark got out his hand gun.
"You make a move on him, you'll be dead before you hit the ground. You understand me?"
"Then what are we supposed to do?!"
Dean tossed his keys to Mark. "Get the hell out of here, that's what. Take my car. You've got explosives, all of you go. Even you (M/n)."
"The hell I will. I'm staying here with you."
"Dean. GO with them. This is your only chance!"
"You're not gonna get rid of me that easy."
The others left.
"Wish we had a deck of cards, or a foosball table or something."
"Dean, don't do this. Just get the hell out of here."
"No way."
"Give me my gun, and leave."
"For the last time, Sam. No."
Sam slammed the table. "This is the dumbest thing you've ever done."
"I don't know about that."
A moment later, they hear a knock at the door. Dean picked up both hand guns and opened the door. Dr. Lee was there.
"You better come see this."
~Outside~
All of them were standing outside the clinic, everything was deadly silent.
"There's no one. Not anywhere. They've just....vanished."
"Huh, odd."
~in the clinic~
Dr. Lee was looking at sample of Sam's blood.
"Well, it's been five hours and your blood's still clean. I don't understand it but I think you dodged a bullet."
"But I was exposed. How could I not be infected?"
"Let's not ask questions, Sam. Lets just go." (M/n) groaned.
Dean shrugged. "What he said."
"What the hell." The doc said.
"What?"
"The sulfur in the Tanner's blood....it's gone."
