~Tanner House~
The Impala parker outside a cabin. The boys got out and approached the front. By the door is a small, tacky plague that read "BORN TO FISH;FORCED TO WORK". Sam knocked on the door, and a teenaged boy with dark spiked hair opened it.
"Yeah?" The boy asked.
"We're looking for Duane Tanner. He lives here, right?" Dean asked, flashing the badge.
"Yeah, he's my brother."
"Can we talk to him?"
"Oh, he's not here right now."
"Do you know where he is?"
"Yeah, he went on a fishing trip up by Roslyn Lake."
"Your parents home?"
"Yeah, they're inside."
A man came to the door. "Jake? Who is it?"
"Hi, U.S. Marshals, sir, we're looking for your son Duane." Dean said.
"Wh-why? He's not in trouble, is he?" Mr. Tanner asked.
"No, no, no, no. We just need to ask him a couple of routine questions, that's all."
"When's he due back form his trip?"
"I'm not sure."
"Well, maybe your wife knows."
"No, I don't know, she's not here right now."
"Your son said she was."
"Did I?" Jake asked.
"She's getting groceries. So, when Duane gets back, there's a number where he can get a hold of you?"
"Oh no, we'll just check in with you later." Dean smiled and they turn away and walk down the steps as the Tanners shut the door.
"That was kind of creepy, right? A little too Stepford?" Dean asked.

"Big time."
"We should just leave." (M/n) said.
"No, there's something going on here." The demon groaned.
~Inside the Tanner house~
Beverly Tanner was tied to a chair ad gagged, Jake comes around behind her, hands on her shoulders.
"It's okay, mom. It's not gonna hurt.
Mr.Tanner comes out of the next room with a kitchen knife. Jake stood in front of his mom and rolled up one sleeve, his father cuts into his arm and lets the blood drip onto a wound in Beverly's shoulder. Sam and Dean arm themselves and kick down the back door. As they rushed in, handguns raised, Mr. Tanner rushed at them with a knife. Dean shot him in the chest. Jake jumped out the window, shattering the glass and ran off in the woods. Sam aims at him but hesitated. Once he looked back, he saw (M/n) giving him a blank, yet angry look.
~Hospital~
Beverly and (M/n) were sitting in the back seat of the Impala, as they pulled up in front of the clinic, Sam and (M/n) helped her out and leads her to the door. Dean opened the trunk and looked around.
Once the three got inside, the clinic was quiet, dim, and empty.
"Hello? Hello? We need a doctor here!" Sam yelled.
A young woman rushed out, looking concerned. "Mrs. Tanner, what happened?" She asked.
"She's been attacked." (M/n) said.
"Doctor Lee?"
The doctor rushed in. "Bring her in."
The woman lead the boys and Beverly into a back room, Dr. Lee followed. Dean entered carrying a bag with Mr.Tanner's body in it over his shoulder.
"Is that-"
"Mr.Tanner?"
"Was he attacked too?" The doctor asked.
"Uh...no, actually, he did the attacking and then he got himself shot."
"Shot?"
"Yeah."
"And who are you?" Dr. Lee asked.
"U.S. Marshal. I'd show you my badge, but uh...."
"Oh. Sorry. Bring him back here."

~In the Lab~
Beverly was seated on a stool with her shirt off, Dr. Lee sat across from her, treating the wound on her left shoulder.
"Wait, you said Jake helped him? Your son Jake?"
She nodded. "They beat me. Tied me up."
"I don't believe it." The woman named Pam said.
"Pam. Beverly....do you have any idea why they would act this way? Any history of chemical dependency?"
"No, of course not. I don't know why. One minute they were my husband and my son. And the next, they had the devil in them."
The brothers were listening, and shared a look at her last words. (M/n) was leaning against a wall, his arms crossed over his chest.
"We gotta talk." Dean said, they exit the lab. "Those guys were whacked out of their gourds."
"What do you think? Multiple demons, mass possession?"
"If it is a possession there could be more. I mean, god knows how many, it could be like a friggin' Shriner convention. But that would explain why (M/n) wants to leave so bad."
Sam nodded. "But we didn't see and demon smoke with Mr. Tanner, or any of the other usual signs."
"Well, whatever. Something turned him into a monster. And you know if you woulda taken out the other one there'd be one less to worry about."
"I'm sorry, all right? I hesitated, Dean, it was a kid!"
"No, it was an "it". Not the best time for a bleeding heart, Sam."
Dr. Lee stalked out of the lab, her heels clicking loudly on the floor.
"How's the patient?"
"Terrible! What the hell happened out there?"
"We don't know."
"Yeah? Well, you just killed my next door neighbor."
"We didn't have a choice."
"Maybe so, but we need the county Sheriff. I need the coroner..."
"Phones are down." Sam said.
"I know, I tried. Tell me you have a police radio in the car?"
"Yeah, we do. But it crapped out just like everything else."
"I don't understand what is happening."
"Haw far is it to the next town?" Dean asked.
"It's about forty miles down to Sidewinder."
"All right, I'm gonna go down there, see if I can find some help." He clapped Sam on the shoulder. "My partners will stick around, keep you guys safe."
"Safe from what?"
"We'll get back to you on that."
~Later~
Sam was leaning against a counter, staring at the body of Mr. Tanner. (M/n) was sitting next to him on the counter. Sam began to pace. Dr. Lee was nearby, looking at something in a microscope.
"Huh."
"What?"
"His lymphocyte percentage is pretty high. His body was fighting off a virus infection."
"What kind of virus?" The demon asked.
"Can't say for sure."
"Do you think an infection could have made him act like that?"
"None that I've ever heard of. I mean, some can cause dementia, but not that kind of violence. And besides, I've never heard of one that did this to the blood."
"Did what?"
"There's this....weird residue. If I didn't know better, I'd say it was sulfur."
"Great..." The demon mumbled, leaning his head back.
"Sulfur."
~Later~
Sam was staring intently at Beverly, still huddled on the stool in the lab.
"I don't understand. Are you saying my husband and Jake had a disease?"
"That's what we're trying to find out. Now, during the attack, do you remember....did you have any direct contact with their blood?"
"Oh my god. You don't think I've got this virus, do you?"
"Beverly, I don't know what to think. But with your permission, we'll take a blood sample." Beverly nodded and laid her hand gently on Dr. Lee's, Suddenly she grabs the woman's wrist and yells in rage, lashing out with her other hand. Sam advances to her, but she tossed his against a glass cabinet, which shattered. She picked up a scalpel and walked to him, still yelling. (M/n) hit her hard on the head with a fire extinguisher, knocking her out.
"Shut up already! Your giving me a headache." He said, putting the extinguisher down.

As Sally uncovers more about her situation, she finds that she has to be smart and tough and that in this place she needs to depend on her friends, who are using her as much as she is using them.
