~Evelyn's House, Day~

Sam was picking the lock, to the new door the police put on the house.

"Ahhh...isn't this a crime scene?"

"You've already lied to the cops. What's another infraction?" Dean told her.

Once inside, Sam lifts the painting down from the wall and they examine it.

"Aren't you worried that it's....gonna kill us?" Sarah asked.

"Nah, it seems to do its thing at night. I think we're all right in the daylight."

(M/n) was looking a the picture in the book and then back at the painting. "Yo, check it out. The razor, it's closed in this one, but it's open in thata one."

"What are you guys looking for?"

"Well, if the spirit's changing aspects of the painting, then doing so for a reason." Dean said.

"Hey, hey look at this. The painting in the painting."

"Looks like a crypt, or a mausoleum or something." The demon commented.

Dean looked around, grabs a thick glass ashtray and uses it as a magnifying glass. He read: Merchant.

~Graveyard~

The four walk through the graves.

"This is the third boneyard we've checked. I think this ghost is jerking us around."

"So this is what you guys do for a living?" Sarah asked.

"Not exactly. We don't get paid."

"Well, Mazel tov."

Dean was spying the mausoleum. "Over there." They walked up to the door and Dean looked at (M/n). "Wanna do the honors?"

"Aw, how romantic, letting me break the lock." He giggled, then broke the lock with a jerk. They all entered, pushing aside the cobwebs. There is a number of name plates as well as four urns in front of little glass fronted boxes. Sarah looks into one of the cases at a doll.

"Okay, that right there- is the creepiest thing I've ever seen." She said.

"It was a....sort of tradition at the time. Whenever a child died sometimes they'd preserve the kid's favorite toy in a glass case, put it next to the headstone or crypt." Sam said.

"And I thought we were fucked up." (M/n) commented.

A sudden wind blew in.

"Notice anything strange here?"

"Where do I start?" Sam snickered, looking at Sarah.

"No, that's not what I mean. Look at the urns."

"There's only four." The youngest Winchester said.

"Yeah, mom and the three kids."

"Daddy dearest isn't here." (M/n) said.

"So where is he?" Sam asked.

~Outside office buildings, day~

Sarah and Sam were talking, while Dean and (M/n) were looking at files.

Suddenly the two appeared next to Sam and Sarah.

"We interrupting something?" Dean asked.

"No." Sam said.

"Not at all."

They looked between the two. "Apparently." The demon said.

"So, what'd you get?"

"Paydirt. Apparently the surviving relatives of the merchant family were so ashamed of Isaiah that they didn't want him interred with the rest of the family. So, they handed him over to the county, the county gave him a pauper's funeral. Economy style. Turns out he wasn't cremated; he was buried in a pine box." Dean said.

"So there are bones to burn."

"There are bones to burn." The older Winchester replied to his bother.

"Tell me, you know where?"

The demon smiled.

~Graveyard, night~

Dean and Sam were digging, Sarah holding a flashlight. (M/n) was sitting on the ground, watching the two. Sam crawled out of the grave and stood next to Sarah.

"You guys seem to be uncomfortably comfortable with this."

"Well, ah, this isn't exactly the first grave we've dug. Still think I'm a catch?" Sam asked the girl. She laughed.

Dean taps his shovel on something hard. "Think I've got something." He cracked open the coffin lid to reveal a body.

Dean and (M/n) began to get to work. Dena pouring the salt, (M/n) the kerosene. Sam and Sarah were watching the two. Dean striked a match. "You've been a real pain in the ass Isaiah. Good riddance." He tosses it in the coffin, burning the body.

~Evelyn's House~

The Impala pulled up, Sam opened the passenger door.

"Keep the motor running."

"I thought the painting was harmless now?" Sarah asked.

"Better safe than sorry. We're gonna bury the sucker."

The girl got out of the car, "I'm going with you."

"You sure?" She nodded.

"Hey! I'll stay here, you go make your move." Dean said, smiling. Sam scoffed and got out the car.

"Hey, where's (M/n)?" Sarah asked, noticing the male was gone.

"He does that." Sam said nonchalantly.

They moved to walk up the stairs. Dean turned up the radio, love ballad was heard. Sam turned to his brother, and the oldest a "wtf" look. Dean gave a 'what?' look back. Sam motioned to cut the music off, sighing, Dean turned it off.

The two went inside and stop at the entrance of the living room, the demon looking at the painting.

"Ahh, issue. The little girl is missing.....along with the razor." The three heard Moises and laughter and look around in time to see the front door shutting on them.

"Well....shit."

~~~~~~
Dean ran up to the door and tried to open it. Inside, Sam also runs to the door and yanks on it.
"Dean! Hey! Is that you?" Sam yelled.
"Sammy, you all right?"
Sam pulled out his phone and called Dean.
Answering, "Tell me you slammed the front door."
"Nope, it wasn't me. I think it was the little girl." The younger said.
"Girl? What girl?"
"She's out of the painting. I think it might've been her all along."
"Wasn't the dad looking down at her? Maybe he was trying to warn us."
"Hey, hey, hey, lets recap later all right? Just get us out of here."
"Well, I'm trying to pick the lock, the door wont budge."
"Well, knock it down."
"Okay genius, let me just grab my battering ram."
"Dean, the damn thing is coming."
"Well, you're just gonna have to hold it off until I figure something out."
Sam grabbed Sarah's hand, "Come on." Sam rummages through the kitchen drawers, Sarah the lounge cupboards.
"What kind of house doesn't have salt? Low-sodium freaks?" Sam said, frustrated. "Hey, did you find any iron?"
"No. What's it for?"
"Iron repels evil spirits, but it's gotta be pure. Hurry. Uh, Dean, give me a sec, don't go anywhere."
Outside, Dean leaves the front door and starts walking the front porch looking for entrances.
In the living room, (M/n) was watching the girl. the doors slam shut, wind blows papers everywhere. The girl was looking at the demon, walking towards him. Dragging her doll along the floor by one foot, a razor in her other hand.
Sam was watching, keeping Sarah behind him.
The girl was moving in an inhuman manner.
"That is just so wrong." Sarah commented.
Sam grabbed a poker. The girl's face shivered and roared at the demon.
"Come at me, bitch." He snarled. Before he can do anything, Sam swung at the ghost and she disappeared.
"Iron?" Sarah asked, the youngest nodded.
"Sammy, you guys okay?" Dean asked.
"Yeah for now." The two brothers talked for a bit, trying to find a way to get rid of the girl. Then they found a solution.
The wind picked up, Sam held up the hot poker. Heavy cupboards came across the room and hit Sam and (M/n) down to the ground. Sarah ran to Sam to help, she turned and the girl was behind her. She tried to get away, but the girl was right on her.
(M/n) was up and hit the ghost with the poker, growling. His nose bleeding from the cupboard connecting to his face.
"Come on girly, its me and you now!" Sarah saw the males eyes black and he threw the poker across the room. Sarah had crawled to where Sam was and watched the demon and ghost fight.
The girl had pinned the demon to the ground after the two got in a brawl. She sat on his chest, hand around his neck. (M/n)'s eyes went back to normal and they were wide.
Sarah saw a black mist start to go out of his mouth.
Soon the girl started burning, the mist going back into its vessel and took a deep breath. The girl appeared back in the painting. Dean had found the doll in time.
~At the auction house~
Dean and (M/n) walked up to where Sam and Sarah were, watching the painting be crated up.
"This was archived in the county records. he Merchant's adopted daughter, Melanie. Know why she was up for adoption? 'Cuase her real family was murdered in their beds." Dean said.
"She killed them?"
"Yep. Who'd suspect her? Sweet little girl. So then she kills Isaiah and his family. The old man takes the blame. His spirit's been trying to warn people ever since."
"So where's this one go?" A worker asked.
"Take it out back and burn it." Everyone stopped and looked at her.
"I'm serious guys. Thanks. So why's the girl do it?"
"Killing others? Killing herself? Some people are just born tortured. So when they die, their spirits are just dark." Sam said.
"Maybe. I don't really care. It's over, we move on."
"Ahh...I guess this means you're leaving."
Dean looked from Sam to Sarah. Sam stared at Dean until he gets it.
"Me and (M/n) will wait in the car. See ya Sarah." Dean and (M/n) left.
~Outside~
"So, Sarah told Sam and Sam told me what happened with the girl." Dean said and the boy rolled his eyes.
"Yes, ghosts can take us demons back to hell. And no way am I going back. She knew, Dean. She knew somehow." Dean looked at the demon, not sure of what to do.
