The three boys came down the hallway, quickly ducking back when they saw Dr. Hydecker..
"Good night, Dr. Hydecker."
"See you tomorrow Betty."
"Try to get some sleep."
The boys stay hidden until the doctor passed. They then continued to the old woman's room. They opened the door and sneak in. Dean and (M/n) took front, Sam hanging back, guns drawn. The woman is in her wheelchair, facing toward the corner. She seemed to be sleeping. (M/n) leaned close to her face.
"Who the hell are you?!" She yelled, turning her head, scaring the boy half to death. He leaped back against a wall cabinet. Dean pulled his gun up.
"Who's there? You trying to steal my stuff? They're always stealing around here." She grumbled.
Sam turned on the light and the boys saw she had cataracts. "No, ma'am. We're maintenance. We're sorry. We thought you were sleeping."
"Ahhhh, nonsense. I was sleeping with my peepers open." She laughed a bit. "And fix that crucifix, would ya? I've asked four damn times already!"
(M/n) swings the crucifix the right way, looking at the other two.

~Motel, day~
The impala pulled up to the motel parking lot, the three getting out.
" "I was sleeping with my peepers open?" Hahaha" Sam laughed.
"Nearly gave me a heart attack." (M/n) grumbled.
"Can demons have heart attacks?" Sam asked, still snickering.
"Shut up."

Dean saw the owner's son sitting behind the office. "Hold on. Hey, what's wrong?" He asked the boy.
"My brothers sick." He responded.
"The little guy?"
The boy nodded. "Pneumonia. He's in the hospital. It's my fault."
"Ah, c'mon, how?"
"I shoulda made sure the window was latched. He wouldn't've got pneumonia if it was latched."
Dean looked away for a moment. Sam watched, frowning, (M/n)....well....he had a straight face, watching also.
"Listen to me. I can promise you that this is not your fault. Okay?"
"Its my job to look after him."
Suddenly the boys mother hurried out of the motel and towards he car.
"Michael, I want you to turn on the no vacancy sign while I'm gone. I've got Denise covering room service so don't bother with any of the rooms."
"I'm going with you."
"Not now, Michael."
"But I gotta see Asher!" He protested.
"Hey, Michael. Hey. I know how you feel, I'm a big brother too, but you gotta go easy on your mom right now, ok?"
The boys mom dropped her handbag and swore loudly.
"I got it." Sam said, picking it up.
"Thank you."
"You're in no condition to drive, why don't you let me give you a lift to the hospital." (M/n) said.
"No, I couldn't possibly..."
"No, it's no trouble. I insist." (M/n) took her keys.
"Thanks. Be good, Michael."
The demon helped her into her seat, the older Winchester grabbed his elbow.
"Do you even know how to drive?"
"Yeah, how the hell do you think I got to the town you happened to be?"
"Just, please be careful. And don't crash the car." Dean said.
"Come on, she's safer with me then anyone else." The boy smiled.

~At the library~
Sam and Dean sat at a computer. Dean's phone went off and he picked it up.
"Hey." (M/n) whispered.
"Hey. How's the kid?"
"He's not good. Where you at?"
"At the library with Sammy. I've been trying to find out as much as I can about this Shtriga."
"Yeah, what have you got?"
"Well, bad news. I started with Fort Douglas around the time you said dad was there. It was the same deal. Before that, there was Ogdenville, before that North Haverbrook, and Brockway. Every 15 to 20 years it hits a new town. Dean, this thing is just getting started in Fitzburgh. In all these other places it goes on for months. Dozens of kids before the shtriga finally moves on. The kids just....languish in comas and then they die."
"How far back this thing go?"
"That I don't know. The earliest I could find is this place called "Black River Falls" back in 1890s. Talk about a horror show."
Sam was looking at a picture. "Holy shit."
"What?"
"Dean?"
"Hold on, Sammy found something." Dean moved his phone so (M/n) could hear what the younger male was saying.
"This photo has a bunch of doctors standing around a kid's bed. One of them is Hydecker."
"And?" (M/n) asked.
"The picture was taken in 1893."
"You sure?"
"Yep." Sam said.
(M/n) hangs up and turns to watch Hydecker sitting on Asher's bed.
"Don't worry. You son's in good hands. I'm going to take care of him." The doctor said to the kid's mom.
Hydecker moved towards the demon, who was standing in the doorway, who was about to kill him then and there.
"So, what's the CDC come up with so far?"
"Well, we're still working on a few theories. You'll know something as soon as we do." The boy smiled.
"Well, nothing's more important to me than these kids. Just let me know if I can help."
"Sure thing, doc."
~Motel room~
"we should have thought if this before. A doctor's a perfect disguise. You're trusted, you can control the whole thing." Sam said.
Dean threw off his jacket, pacing agitatedly. "That son of a bitch."
"I'm surprised you didn't race to the hospital to kill him."
"Well, first of all, I'm not going to open fire in a freakin' pediatrics ward."
"Good call."
"Second, wouldn't have done any good, because the bastard's bullet proof unless he's chowing down on something."
(M/n) entered the room. "What's the plan?"
"Well, the thing works through siblings, right?"
"Yeah."
"Well, last night-"
"It went after Asher."
"So I'm thinking tonight its probably gonna come after Michael."
"Well, we gotta get him outta here."
"No. No, that would blow the whole deal."
"What?" Sam asked. "You wanna use the kid as bait? Are you nuts? No! Forget it. That's out of the question."
"It's not out of the question, it's the only way."
"If we don't do it Sam. More kids will die." (M/n) said.
"Michael's a kid. And I'm not going to dangle him in front of that thing like a worn on a hook."
"Dad didn't send me here to walk away." The older Winchester said.
"Send YOU here? He didn't send you here, he sent us here."
"This isn't about you, Sam." Sam got frustrated and went out the room. Dean sighed and sat on the bed. "It's all my fault."
The demon walked over to him and sat down next to him.
"Dean, what's your fault?"
There was a long pause.
"Come on, Dean. Talk to me. You've been hiding something since we got here."
Dean took a deep breath. "Alright. Fort Douglas, Wisconsin, It was our third night in this crap room and I was climbing the walls. I needed to get some air."
