~Flashback~
Young Dean and Sam were in a motel room.
Dean was about 9 or 10, staring at a photo of a handprint. John came out of the bedroom, loading his sawn off.
"All right. You know the drill, Dean. Anybody calls, you dont pick up. It its me, I'll ring once, then call back. You got that?"
"Mm-hmm. Only answer the phone unless it rings once first." He repeated back.
"Come on, look alive. This stuff is important."
"I know, its just....we've gone over it like a million times and you know im not stupid."
"I know youre not, but it onyl takes one mistake, you got that?" John said as he continued to gather his things.
"All right, if im not back Sunday night...?"
"Call paster Jim."
"Lock the doors, the windows, close the shades. Most important..."
"Watch out for Sammy."
They both looked at the smaller boy, watching cartoons on the TV.
"All right. If something tries to bust in?"
"Shoot first, ask questions later."
John took his sons shoulder. "Thats's my man."
~And of flashback~
"Dean?" (M/n) asked the male, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"I know why dad sent us here. He's faced this thing before. He wants us to finish the job."
~Another timeskip~
It was night, the impala pulled up to a motel office, all the boys got out.

"What the hell is a shtriga?" The youngest asked his brother.
"Its kinda like a witch, I think. I don't know much about them."
"I've heard of them, but never encountered one before." The demon said.
"Well, I've never heard of it. And its not in dad's journal."
"Dad hunted one in Fort Douglas, Wisconsin, about 16 or 17 years ago. You were there. You don't remember?"
"No."
"And I guess he caught wind of things in Fitzburg now and kicked us the coordinates.
"So this...."
"Shtriga." (M/n) said.
"Right. You think its the same one dad hunted before?"
"Maybe."
"So, if dad went after it, why is it still breathing air?" Sam asked.
"Cause it got away."
"Got away?"
Dean looked at him, getting frustrated. "Yeah, Sammy, it happens."
They entered the reception and rung a bell. A boy around 10-12 came from the back room, where a younger boy was watching tv.
"A king or two queens."
"Two queens." Dean said, glancing back at Sam.
The boy followed his look and snickered under his breath. "Yeah, I'll bet."
"What's you say?"
The boy smiled. "Nice car."
A woman entered, smiling at the three.
"Hi." She said.
"Hi." Dean put on his goofy smile that the demon knew all too well at this point.
"Checking in?"
"Yeah."
"Ok." She turned to the boy. "Do me a favor, go get your brother some dinner."
"I'm helping the guest!" He whined.
She gave him a look, he sighed and turned to go.
"Two queens." He said to his mother.
"Funny kid." The older Winchester gave a fake laugh.
"Oh, yeah. He thinks so. Will that be cash or credit?"

"You take MasterCard?" She nodded and gave her the card. He watched the boy pour a glass of milk for his little brother.
~Flashback~
A young Sam sat at the table. A young Dean pours him glass of milk.
"Whens dad gonna get back?"
"Tomorrow." Dean grabbed a pot from the stove.
"When?"
"I dunno. He usually come in late though. Now eat your dinner." He said, pouring from the pot into the bowl.
"I'm sick of scabetti-oh's." Sam whined.
"Well, you're the one who wanted them."
"I want lucky charms!"
"There' no more lucky charms."
"I saw the box!"
"Okay, maybe there is, but there's only enough for one bowl and I haven't had any yet."
Sam gave his brother puppy dog eyes. Dean sighed, dumps out Sam's bowl and puts the cereal box on the table instead. Sam reached into the box and grabbed the toy out and held it towards Dean.
~End of flashback~
"Sir?" The woman said, holding out his card.
Dean snapped back in reality. "Thanks"
~~~~~~
Sam was on his laptop, Dean sitting across from him and (M/n) was on the bed, reading their fathers journal.
"Well, you were right. It wasn't very easy to find, but you were right. Shtriga is a kind of witch. They're Albanian, but legends about them trace back to ancient Rome. They feed off spiiritus vitae."
""Spiri-what?"
"Vitae. It's Latin, translates to 'breath of life'. Kinda like your life force or essence." (M/n) said from the bed.
"What he said." Sam replied.
"Didn't the doctor say the kids' bodies were wearing out?"
"It's a thought, you know she takes your vitality,maybe your immunity goes to hell, pneumonia takes hold. Anyway, shtrigas can feed off anyone but they prefer-"
"Children."
"Yeah. Probably because they have stronger life force. And get this. Shtrigas are '...invulnerable to all weapons devised by God and man.'"
"No, that's no right. She's vulnerable when she feeds."
"What?"
"If you catch her when she's eating, you can blast her with consecrated wrought iron. Buckshots or rounds, I think."
"How do you know that?"
"Dad told me. I remember."
"Oh. huh. So, anything else dad might have mentioned?"
"Nope."
Sam just stared at Dean, the demon looked over at the two.
"What?"
"Nothing. Okay. So, assuming we can kill it when it eats, we still gotta find the thing first, which aint gonna be a cakewalk((now I want cake)). Shtrigas take on a human disguise when they're not hunting."
"What kinda human disguise?" Dean asked.
"Historically, something innocuous. Could be anything, but its usually a feeble old woman, which might be how the witches as old crones legend got started."
"Hang on." (M/n) got up and crossed the room.
"What?" Sam asked.
The boy grabbed a map. "Check this out. I marked down all the addresses of the victims, earlier. Now these are the houses that have been hit so far, and dead center?"
"The hospital." Dean said.
"Now when we were there, me and Dean saw a patient, an old woman."
"An old person, huh?"
(M/n) nodded.
"In a hospital? Phew. Better call the Coast Guard." Sam said, shaking his head, snickering.
"Well listen, smart-ass, she had an inverted cross hanging on her wall." Dean said.
Sam quickly looked up, serious.
"We're taking a trip to the hospital, arent we?"
"Yeeeep."
Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes. I didn’t see anything redeeming,” Quarren rebutted. “Well…” Alea chuckled. “You haven’t seen what I’ve seen.” In the year 917 of the Imperial Calendar, the Great War had just ended between dozens of nations. Farrien welcomed home millions of troops and warriors with the Archdukes of Aerianne and Kanaria leading them at the forefront. Since the founding of Farrien, the Aerianne and Kanarian Archduchies have been pillars upholding the Kingdom from enemies. It was common belief that they possessed special blood blessed by the Goddess Stecia, who gifted the lineage to the first King of Farrien when he first founded the country. All were ecstatic when the current generation of the two Archduchy's, after the war, agreed to let their children wed. The excitement was short-lived however when the Aerianne Princess proved to be a dragoness among men but the Kanarian Prince was worse than even mediocre. The Prince disappeared and the wedding was shortly forgotten as society lived on. Until one day the Young Heir of Kanaria returned to Farrien a changed man, bringing demise with him. Follow the story of the Chosen ordained by the Goddess of Time as he returns to the past to right his wrongs and set things back straight again!
