In the morning, there was news that someone died in the Hell House. 

The three boys approached a man standing outside.

"What happened?" (M/n) asked.

"A coupla cops say a girl hung herself in the house."

"Suicide?"

"Yeah. She was straight A student, with a full ride to UT too. It just don't make sense." He said, walking away.

"Whaddaya think?" Sam asked his brother.

"I think maybe we missed something." Dean said.

"Maybe?"

~Timeskip to the night~

A police car was parked outside the house, two cops were walking around. Sam, Dean, and (M/n) were crouching in the bushes.

"I guess the cops don't want anyone else screwing around in there."

"Yeah, but we still gotta get in there." Dean said, making a plan in his head.

"How are we going to do that?" The demon asked, they soon hear whispers and peeks from their hiding spots.

"I don't believe it." Dean commented.

Sam spun to look. Ed and Harry were approaching, hunched over, wearing all sorts of gadgets, whispering and shh-ing each other.

"I got an idea."

The older stood up slightly, turns towards the cops and cups his hands to his mouth.

"Who ya gonna call!" He yelled.

"Wha...huh?"

"Hey! You!" A cop yelled at Ed and Harry.

The two bolted away, the cops chased them back down the path. Laughing, the three make a break for the house. Once inside, Sam breaks out the rifles, handing one to Dean, he offered the demon one, but as usual, he declined. Dean turned on his flashlight.

"Where have I seen that symbol before? It's killing me!" The older complained.

"Lets hope that's the only thing killing you." The demon commented.

"Come on, we don't have much time."

They went down to the basement and look around. Dean looks at the jars, picking one up and looks at it closer. The pale red liquid sloshes around inside it.

"Hey, (M/n). I dare you to take a swig of this."

"And why the hell would I do that for?"

".....I double dare you."

(M/n) just shook his head and kept looking around. Dean grinned. A noise made the three jump and look towards the cabinet. At Dean's nod, Sam opened the door and rats ran out squeaking.

"Arghh! I hate rats." Dean said, lifting his feet.

"You'd rather it was a ghost?" (M/n) poked fun at him.

"Yes."

Behind Sam's head, Mordechai showed up. (M/n)'s eyes widened as he saw him. Sam and Dean realized what the male was seeing, they turn around as the ghost raised an ax above his head. Sam shot him twice, but he was still there. Dean shot him and he mists away.

"What the hell kind of spirit is immune to rock salt?" Sam exclaimed.

"I dunno, but lets go!" Dean yelled.

"Don't have to tell me twice!" The demon ran towards the stairs, the other two following behind him. Mordechai smashed the axe down, catching the shelves and bringing jars down and fall on (M/n) and Dean. Mordechai and Sam began to fight.

"Go! Get outta here!" He yelled.

The angry ghost smashed an electrical box, sparks flying everywhere. The trio bolted out the door.

Outside, Ed and Harry creep back toward the house.

"Maybe we should just get out of here." Harry said, raising his night vision goggles.

"No. Would John Edward go? We've lost the cops, let's find our centre and get some work done. Ok? All right?" Ed told his friend.

As they approach the porch, camera raised, Sam, Dean, and (M/n) burst out. They fell through the emergency tape and roll down the steps, spring immediately to their feet and kept running.

"Get that damn thing outta my face." Dean snapped.

"Keep going!" (M/n) yelled at him.

Ed and Harry were still facing the door and see Mordechai lurk out.

"Sweet Lord...."

"......of the rings. RUN!!! Go go go!" Harry screamed.

They turned to flee and ran straight into the arms of the cops.

"Look, there's a...look. There's a man over there...I saw....where'd he go?" Harry tried to see, but the spirit was gone. The cops grabbed their collars and took them away.

Dean was sitting on the bed, drawing the symbol. Sam was researching, and (M/n) was laying in the bed next to Dean, watching him draw.

"What the hell is this symbol? It's buggin' the hell out of me. This whole damn job;s buggin' me. I thought the legend said Mordechai only goes after chicks." The older explained.

"It does." Sam commented.

"All right. Well I mean that explains why he went after you, but why me?"

"Hilarious. The legend also says he hung himself, but did you see those slit wrists?" Sam asked.

"Yeah."

"What's up with that? And the axe too. I mean, ghosts are usually pretty strict, right? Following the same patterns over and over?"

"But this one keeps changing." The demon commented.

Sam was clicking away on his laptop. "Exactly. I'm telling you guys, the way the story goes....wait a minute."

"What?"

"Someone added a new post to the Hell Hound site. Listen to this. 'They say Mordechai Murdock was really a Satanist who chopped up his victims with an axe before slitting his own wrists. Now he's imprisoned in the house for eternity." Sam read.

Dean was still staring at the symbol he drawn, suddenly sitting straight up.

"Where the hell is this going?"

"I don't know, but I think I might have just figured out where it all started."

~Outside the music store~

Craig is sitting at the counter, looking depressed.

"Hey Craig? Remember us?" The trio suddenly burst in.

"Guys, look I'm really not in the mood to answer any of your questions ok?"

"Oh, don't worry. We're just here to buy an album, that's all." Dean started to flick through the albums. Sam and (M/n) exchanging glances. He picked up an album.

"You know, I couldn't figure out what that symbol was and then I realized that it doesn't mean anything. Its the logo for the Blue Oyster Cult." The older Winchester said to the other two standing there. Then he turned to Craig.

"Tell me Craig, you, uh, you into BOC? Or just scaring the hell outta people? Now why don't you tell us about that house....without lying through your ass this time."

The boy behind the counter sighed. "All right, um. My cousin Dana was on break from TCU. Ah, I guess we were just bored, looking for something to do. So I showed her this abandoned dump I found. We thought it would be funny if we made it look like it was haunted. So we painted symbols on wall, some from some albums, some from some of Dana's theology textbooks. Then we found out this guy Murdock used to live there so we....we made up some storyto go along with that. So they told people, who told other people. And then these two guys put it on their stupid website. Everything just took on a life of its own. I mean I, I thought it was funny at first but....now that girl's dead! It was just a joke, you know. I mean, none of it was real, we made the whole thing up. I swear!"

"All right." Sam said softly.

The three boys turned to leave.

"If none of it was real, then how the hell do you explain Mordechai?" The demon asked the two.
