Dean, Sam, and (M/n) were standing in a living room, dressed as sheriffs. Talking to a boy and his mother.
"I know you're just doing your job, but police have been here all week already. I don't see why we have to go through this again. The more he tells the story, the more he believes its true." The boys mother told them.
"Mrs. McKay, we know you spoke with the local authorities." Sam said.
"But, uh, this seems like a matter for the state police, so..."
"Don't worry about how crazy it sounds, Evan. You just tell us what you saw."
"I was up late, watching TV. When I heard this weird noise." The boy stated.
"What did it sound like?"
"It sounded like....a monster." The three boys exchanged looks.
"Tell the officers what you were watching on TV." Mrs. McKay told her son.
"Godzilla Vs. Mothra." Dean smiled at that.
"That's my favorite Godzilla movie. It's so much better then the original, huh?"
"Totally."
"Yeah, he likes the remake." The man nodded towards his brother.
"Yuck!"
(M/n) had never seen the Godzilla movies, so he was not following at all.
Sam cleared his throat. "Evan, did you see what this thing was?"
"No. But I saw it grab Mr.Jenkins. It pulled him underneath a car."
"Then what?"
"It took him away. I heard the monster leaving. It made this really scary sound."
"What did it sound like, Evan?"

"Like this...whining growl." He said. Sam and Dean looked at eachother, (M/n) just wrote this in the little notebook the brothers gave him.
"Thanks for your time."
~Timeskip to a bar, at night~
Sam was having a beer at the table, looking at research. Dean and (M/n) were competing against each other at darts nearby.
"So, local police have now ruled out foul play. Apparently, there are worse signs of a struggle."
"Well, they could be right, it could just be a kidnapping. Maybe this isn't out kind of gig."
"Yeah, maybe not. Except for this- Dad marked the area, Dean." Sam told his brother. Dean went over and looked over at the journal. The smaller male of the three looked over his shoulder, just to see. "Possible hunting grounds of a phantom attacker."
"Why would he even do that?"
"Well, he found a lot of local folklore about a dark figure that comes out at night. Grabs people then vanishes. He found this too, this county has more missing persons per year(?) than anywhere else in the state."
"That is weird." Dean said. "Don't phantom attackers usually snatch people from their beds? Jenkins was taken from a parking lot."
"There are all kinds. You know, Spring Heeled Jacks, phantom gassers. They take people anywhere. If there's one here, I should be able to sense it." (M/n) commented, the older male nodded.
"I'm not sure if this is our kind of gig either, Dean." Sam continued.
"Yeah, we should ask around more tomorrow."
"Right," Sam took out his wallet," I saw a motel about five miles back."
"Whoa, whoa, easy. Lets have another round."
"We should get an early start."
"Yeah, you really know how to have fun, don't you Grandma?" Sam smiled at that, the demon chuckled a bit. "Alright, I'll meet you outside, let me kick (M/n)'s ass at this really quick." He got a playful glare from the boy.

"Your on!"
Sam chuckled a bit and headed outside as the two played one more round of darts.
Later the two went outside, walking over to the car. Dean noticed that Sam was missing, but noticed that the journal was on the hood. He opened the car door to see if he was inside, but didn't see him. He looks around confused.
"Dean, everything ok?"
"No, Sam's missing." The boys eyes widened.
The older Winchester walked up to a biker and his girlfriend, "Have you guys been outside, around the last hour or so?" They shook their heads. This caused Dean to panic.
"Sam!" He started looking around wildly. (M/n) grabbed his shoulders.
"Dean! Calm down, we'll find him, look." He pointed to a surveillance camera.
~Later the next day~
The two were standing in a Sheriff's department, a deputy, Kathleen, was looking at Dean's fake ID. She then looked at (M/n).
"Who's him?"
"This is (M/n), he's a family member."
"Alright, so, what can we do for you two? Officer Washington?"
"I'm working on a missing persons." He simply said.
"I didn't know the Jenkins case was being covered by state police."
"Oh, no. No, there's someone else. Actually, our cousin. We were havin' a few last night at this bar down by the highway. And I haven't seen him since."
"Does your cousin have a drinking problem?"
"Sam? Two beers and he's doing karaoke." That made the girl smile and the boy laugh at the mere thought of Sam drunk doing karaoke. "No, he wasn't drunk. He was taken."
The girl nodded and sat down at the computer. Dean followed her, and (M/n) followed in response.
"Alright, what's his name?"
"Winchester. Sam Winchester."
"Like the rifle?"
Dean nodded. Kathleen typed in Sa's name, pulling up his profile. She then pulled up Dean's police record.
"Samuel Winchester. So, you know that his brother, Dean Winchester, died in St. Louis. And, um, was suspected of murder." Dean tried to look nonchalant, while the demon just stared at him, surprised.
"Yeah, Dean. Kind of the black sheep of the family. Handsome, though." (M/n) rolled his eyes, of course he would say that.
"Uh-huh." Kathleen typed something else in the computer, bringing up more search results. "Well, he's not showing up in any current field reports."
"Oh, I already have a lead. I saw a surveillance camera by the highway."
"The county traffic cam?"
"Right, yeah. I'm thinking the camera picked up whatever took him. Or, whoever." Dean's desperation to find his brother was getting worse.
"Well, I have access to the traffic cam footage down at the county works department, but- well, anyhow, lets do this right away." She got up and got some paperwork from a cabinet. "Why don't you fill out a missing person report and sit tight over here?" She handed him a clipboard.
This time (M/n) talked.
"Look, officer, he's family. Officer Washington over here looks out for the kid. You have to let him go with you."
"I'm sorry, but I can't do that."
"Well, tell me something. Your county has its fair share of missing persons. Any of 'em some back?" She looked sad. "Sam's his responsibility. And he's coming back, we're bringing him back." The woman just looked at the boy. Dean was always surprised on how (M/n) knew what to get what he wanted, that's what he found so attractive about the demon, the way he talked to people.

How the Stars Turned Red
Announcement as of 05 July 2022: I've been diagnosed with some pretty severe nerve damage in my left arm, rendering me unable to write effectively, and as such this story is on hold until it is healed. I am so sorry, and I promise to get back to writing as soon as possible. In the latter half of the 3rd millennium CE, humanity has spread across the stars, inhabiting close to five-hundred worlds across the Orion Arm. Earth has become irrelevant, a historical has-been. The galactic map is dominated by two mega-factions, both controlling vast amounts of territories either through direct control or through their many allies and treaty signatories. The Kingdom of Aurora is the political and economic hegemon despite consisting of only seven inhabited worlds; their strength lies in the Royal Union, an interstellar commonwealth composing an internal market and a common defence pact. These member worlds are myriad and varied, culturally as well as politically, but they all flock to the same banner. The Independent Systems Alliance, spearheaded by the Republic of Elysium, is the ascendant challenger to Aurora and the Union. A pseudo-federal multi-system polity, the Alliance economy and military is rapidly expanding, but at the cost of effective democratic and meritocratic involvement by its people. However, with two superpowers as this, chafing along a common border, and with a constant clamour of polemics, both sides have become convinced the other is constantly preparing for war and are on the look-out for any perceived weakness in their opponent. The predictable result is a huge arms race and a cold war spreading across the stars, requiring only a spark to set the galaxy aflame. Drawn into this game of high stakes are ordinary men and women, their peaceful lives, hopes, and aspirations swallowed by the vortex of conflict and distrust. This is their story. Cover art by Rhodex Designs (FB). Hope you like long chapters and adjectives. Note: English is not my first language. Another story set in the same universe, written by a good friend

Witchbone: The Goblins Winter
Themes found in these stories include friendship, found family, defying negative expectations, trying to figure out how to be a force for good in your corner of the world, doing heroic things even if you don't look or feel like a hero, and that being different isn't necessarily fatal. Summary: A spell of arctic weather. A mysterious death. The reading of a will. Strange tracks in the snow. Eleven-year-old Danny Hallow accepts his life, such as it is. His father is dead, his mother left years ago. His three Keepers are the only people aware of Danny's erratic and not-very-impressive psychic abilities. He has no friends, he's been suspended from school, and he's responsible for the life of a small brown bat that's ended up in his care. When Danny's estranged Uncle Enoch dies under mysterious circumstances, he and his Keepers are called to the town of Eddystone, New Hampshire for the reading of the man's will. Traveling four hundred miles from his dreaded hometown to attend, Danny is happy to get away, possibly inherit something interesting- and maybe find out more about his family while he's there. Arriving at the crumbling family estate of Gnomewood Home, he finds it to be hauntingly familiar, a bit creepy, oddly comforting, and possibly alive. When his uncle's will reveals that he's inherited Gnomewood and everything in it, he's determined to stay and make a happier life for himself in Eddystone, somehow. But at Gnomewood, he finds more questions than answers to his family's secrets. Disturbing old memories come to him in dreams. His psychic abilities begin to grow stronger, and as a result he becomes aware that a horde of cryptic creatures are plaguing the town of Eddystone, seemingly drawn out by the spell of an unusually frigid February. Toothy little goblins that are sneaky, vicious, and hungry. Goblins that take a particular interest in Danny. Will the emergence of the alien, and potentially dangerous, power he's inherited from his peculiar family tree help Danny survive the goblin infested winter, inadvisable attempts to befriend a terrifying boy with silver eyes, and a new school? Only if he learns to control them before they put him and everyone around him in danger. Before they convince some people that he should never have been allowed to exist at all. Before he becomes just another twisted tale in his family's bizarre history, kept hidden for centuries within the ivy-covered walls of Gnomewood Home.
