"jeez..cant believe spring is here." nico hummed out as he dusted off his alter. he set it up for hades. he had another one meant for all forgotten gods, and one more for hestia. he was doing some spring cleaning and lighting a candle to offer his dad good wishes, understanding it was a difficult time with his step mom leaving. 

"yeah, it is. thought this winter would last forever!" will laughed, helping nico clean his space. both lived together in seperate rooms, tho typically nico wandered to wills bed at night. 

"heard the crew was getting together. something about leo buying a park with piper to help preserve the land. they want to like, plant trees and transfer some nymphs there from megs greenhouses. kids growing up to fast." nico chuckled. will nodding. "just yesterday she was wandering into camp with my dad as lester." will hummed. "yep..12 to 23. she grew up so gorgeously." nico hummed softly. 

"yep, and your older. mister big 25!" will hugged nico from behind, causing the italian to laugh softly. he to had changed. around highschool things got better with will and everyone helping. he still ate in scattered times but will learned to work with it. 

"get back to cleaning! well head to the crew in 20." nico softly laughed. will grinning proudly and doing so. after cleaning and sending offers, candles burning for a few. nico and will headed out to the park leo and piper bought. going via car, music blaring. thanks will. and windows down, thanks nico. both singing along to the cringy stuck in head songs will had. 

"heeey. emo and sunshine made it!" percy waved, teasing. standing back a truck with grover. the truck filled to the brim with plants. "not the biggest land but we hope itll help." grover smiled happily. glad to assist in helping fight against goverment. all demigods did or do. barley using cars unless needed, most had gardens to grow food or paired up in groups to not waste space. 

"nice." nico nodded. "ready to plant?" he eagerly asked. the crew nodding and getting to work. everyone was giggling and laughing as they planted, digging in dirt. turning soil. grover calling to animals to help and playing his reeds to encourage growth. 

each had grown up. from the demigod kids saving the world to grown ups living life. only one didnt make it, and piper made sure there was a spot for him in her heaven. a little proud apple tree, off in a corner with a bench and his name. honoring his death, honoring his life. jason grace gave himself for others. he was a hero unlike silena or luke, both of whom are disgusting liars and icky. 

leo was the one who grew the most, from the 15 yr old dating a demi titan whom looked and acted 25. to the dude who murdered her one night in cold blood from her hurting countless others. a story and war all on its own that lasted barely three months. 

after the day of planting trees the crew sat on a blanket by the apple tree with jasons honor, chatting and eating. nico leaning into the tree, whispering blessings. smiling in knowing jason choose rebirth, not because he wanted heaven, but because he wanted his friends. 

and unknown by many of the others, jason sat in percys lap, his blond hair duller and curlier then before and eyes an amazing shade of green to match percys. smiling and curling close to his friends.
