《If You'll Be My Star (Anakin x Reader) BOOK TWO *COMPLETED*》Thirty-Two

The stadium was packed to the brim with Geonosians yelling and cheering for your demise. The cart pulled towards the center, where Obi-Wan was already tied up to one of the four upright posts. His hands were chained above his head as he stood and waited. You and Anakin locked eyes with him as he stared at you two in surprise and disappointment that you both were in the same situation as he was.
The cart stopped in front of the posts and a Geonosian roughly grabbed your arm and pulled you off of the cart first. The Geonosian led you two posts away from Obi-Wan as another took Anakin and led him to the post between you and Obi. Something shined in your eye, it looked like a pin of some sort. Must have fallen off of a previous execution. The Geonosian made you lift your hands above your head and handcuffed and chained you up.
"I was beginning to wonder if you'd got my message." Obi-Wan said to Anakin as the Geonosian guards finished chaining you and Anakin up and exited the arena.
"I retransmitted it as you requested, Master." Anakin earnestly replied. "Then we decided to come and rescue you."
Obi-Wan looked up at his chained hands before looking back at Anakin.
"Good job!" Obi-Wan stated before looking away.
In the stands, you saw Nute Gunray, Dooku, and other important figures emerge out into the opening of their reserved, luxury box. The Geonosian Archduke walked forward and hushed the crowd. The crowd immediately silenced itself and waited in anticipation.
"Let the executions begin!" the Archduke said in Geonosian. The crowd went wild and roared as different gates around the arena opened. Three monsters were pushed out by the guards. You recognized each monster from your studies as they came forward.
A reek. The giant, broad shouldered beast with two sharp horns that framed out from the sides of its head to the front and an equally sharp and even larger horn on top of its head.
A nexu. An enormous cat-like creature with a large mouth and razor sharp fangs and claws. It took out one of the guards that was hurting it.
An acklay. The size of a starfighter with six legs and heavy pincers, big enough to cut a man in half.
Each monster roared as they were electrocuted to move towards the center. Each chose its victim. The nexu took one look at you and immediately became fixated on you. The other two had yet to choose a prey. You got an idea and looked back at the shiny pin on the ground. You focused on it and used the Force to lift up the pin. The pin went flying towards you and you caught it with your left hand. You quickly worked the pin into the lock of your right hand and moved it around to unlock the handcuff.

"I've got a bad feeling about this..." Anakin said as he too focused on the monsters to realize what you were doing. Obi-Wan, however, noticed and knew you were able to handle yourself. He turned his attention back to the monsters.
"Take the one on the right. I'll take the one on the left." Obi-Wan said to Anakin. Anakin looked at the reek as Obi-Wan would handle the acklay.
"Relax and concentrate." Obi-Wan reminded his Padawan.
"What about ____?" Anakin asked worriedly.
"She seems to be on top of things." Obi-Wan replied with an amused smile as he gestured towards you. Anakin looked over and you had managed to get the right handcuff loose enough for your hand to slip through. You had used the chain like a rope and climbed up to the top of the post.
There was no more time to talk as the acklay roared at Obi-Wan before lifting up a pincer and bringing it down. Obi-Wan dodged the attack as the acklay raised a pincer again. Obi-Wan moved the chains just in time as the acklay struck again. It hit the chains, breaking Obi-Wan free from the post, but his hands were still cuffed together. Obi-Wan was able to dodge the acklay's attacks easier now.
The reek charged towards Anakin. Anakin timed the charge just right and jumped high up right before the reek hit him. Anakin landed swiftly on the back of the reek and wrapped his chain around the horn on top of its head. The reek bellowed in irritation as it tried to shake Anakin off. In the process, it broke the chain off of the post.
You watched below as the nexu roared as it clawed at the bottom of the post. It began to climb up the post towards you. You swung the chain around before it reached the top and whipped it. It roared in pain, but continued to fight its way up to you as you continuously whipped it. The nexu reached up and clawed your back, leaving three deep slashes across your back and tears in the back of your tunic. It tore off half of your right sleeve. You screamed in pain as you whipped the nexu, this time knocking it down. You heard laughing from the luxury box as you winced in pain.
_____!
Anakin's shouted through the Force Bond when he heard and felt your pain.

I'll be fine, it's nothing I can't handle
You reassured him as the nexu composed itself and returned its attention to you.
Obi-Wan rolled on the ground as he dodged each of the acklay's attacks. From the box, Jango Fett and his son, Boba, carefully watched Obi-Wan.
The reek started to buck as Anakin was being chased by two guards. The reek bucked up as one of the guards shocked it, causing Anakin to fall off. The reek dragged Anakin, who held on for dear life as it continued to go wild.
The nexu snarled as it climbed up the post again towards you. You swiftly jumped off of the post and swung around to the nexu. You lifted up both legs and kicked it as hard as you could in the chest. The nexu cried out in pain as it crashed into the ground. It whimpered as it slowly stood back up. You quickly stopped yourself from swinging and used the chain to climb back up onto the post. The nexu circled around the post as you picked back up the pin you left on top and picked the lock of the other handcuff.
"She can't do that!" Nute Gunray fumed. "Shoot her or-- or something!!"
The acklay rammed into Obi-Wan's post and it barely missed him as it crumbled down. Obi-Wan got up and ran towards the guards that were chasing Anakin. The reek stopped running at this moment, giving Anakin the chance to get back up. Obi jumped and grabbed the spear from the guard. He threw the guard off, slashed the guard across the face, and turned the spear onto the acklay. It snarled at Obi-Wan as it slowly approached him. It stomped on the guard Obi had taken out, killing him instantly with its sharp pincers.
Anakin slowly walked up to the reek, with one hand out. It growled at him quietly as Anakin got closer. Once Anakin was close enough, he jumped back onto the reek and swung his chain around the mouth of the reek. He now had makeshift reins to control the reek with. Anakin pulled on the reins and moved the reek closer to you. You finally got the handcuff off of you as Anakin arrived at your post. The reek rammed its horn into the nexu, causing a loud crunch sound before the nexu laid still.
"Jump!" Anakin called out to you. You nodded your head before standing back up on your post. You looked down before jumping off and landing safely on the reek behind Anakin. You immediately wrapped your arms around his torso and leaned in. Anakin turned his head slightly to make sure you were okay. You discreetly gave him a peck on the cheek, and no one noticed due to the pure chaos going on.
Anakin hit the reins and charged the reek towards Obi-Wan. Obi had thrown the spear at the acklay and stabbed it in one of its shoulders. It shrieked in pain before ripping the spear out of its shoulder and snapped it in half with its mouth. Obi-Wan turned and ran towards you and Anakin. You held out your hand to him, which he gratefully took and helped him onto the reek. He sat behind you as Anakin ran away from the guards that were entering the arena.
"This isn't how it's supposed to be! Jango! Finish her off!!" Nute Gunray demanded. Count Dooku calmly raised a hand at Jango to stop the bounty hunter and turned to Nute Gunray.
"Patience, Viceroy, patience. She will die." Dooku reassured him.
The three of you looked around worriedly as droidekas rolled into the arena and surrounded the reek. They raised their blasters at you three as they got closer to you. You didn't know what you three could do. You didn't have your lightsabers or any other weapon. You began to feel trapped when there was an all too familiar presence in the Force. You quickly looked up at the source in the luxury box. You saw a purple lightsaber ignite and was pointed at Jango Fett. Count Dooku turned around and looked at the intruder.
"Master Windu, how pleasant of you to join us." Dooku said fakely to him.
"This party is over." Windu hissed. "My Padawan will not be dying today."

Adagio of the Enlightened
The Elders will tell you the stories and lore. Of our ancestors, their deeds, and of the foes of yore. They will praise to you the chariot, and how it flew to the stars. How it stole the sun's light and slew the night’s roar. The Shamans will tell you the tales of their wisdom. Their wars on schism, and the unlettered world of ours before. Perhaps they will sing you the songs of what our clans' ancient customs tore. Poems of how our ancestors took what the discs had offered them, the manna and the mundane, and made it more. The kings will tell you of the follies, the sins, and the anecdotes of all our ancestors' wrongs. They will curse to you their names, the Ender of Fate and the Ruined Song. How they had dug up the hearts of the discs, euchred its relics, and blasphemed its prophecies, with oracles withdrawn. But they will only tell you the legends, recount the myths, and sing the allegories washed ashore. The Elders, the Shamans, and the kings can only retell what the storytellers of their own time had voiced. What they have read in books or heard in the minstrels' songs they adore. They don't know what really happened. They were never there. They can't tell you how our ancestors slew the angels from the sky, and sent them back to where they belonged. How they poisoned our minds, and made our people slothful and feeble, with the reforms they had undergone. But I can.I can tell you how the Ender of Fate severed destiny's strings, weakened them, and weaved them to our feeble flesh and souls.I can tell you how the Ruined song razed the heavens with her blood-stained melody, and reshaped our hell into utopia, with the deaths she deplored.Because I was there. I can tell you the truth, with my virtue strong. ----> Disclaimer: This will be a slow-burn, character-driven, non-harem, slice-of-life web novel with cultivation and kingdom-building elements. 8 207Beyond the Bridge
There are many worlds, many multiverses, and you can move between them via the Federation's Bridge network - magical gateways to other worlds. The world dubbed "C'thon" by its inhabitants - or Gamma-Theta-Nu-649, if you ask the Federation's bureaucracy - was deserted when the Federation found it. The "civilized" races had all died out centuries prior, and the wilderness had grown downright feral in their absence. Now, the lonely Federation outpost of Bridgetown is under constant threat from the hungry wildlife, malicious fey, territorial goblins, and wandering undead that surround it. The town's distance from the Federation's centers of power means that it gets precious few of the resources that it needs to stay safe and afloat. Enter the Guild of Adventurers, a plucky and disparate crew who do the Federation's dirty work in exchange for coin. One team, the first of many, crosses the Bridge to C'thon looking for fame, fortune, and (if they're lucky) the answer to a newly-discovered Prophecy. They'll get much more than they bargained for, although first they need to avoid being eaten by the local wildlife. Updates weekly on Wednesday. Chapters will be as long as they need to be for them to work, which means they can vary. If anything drops below 2500 words, I'll post an extra chapter if I have one ready. [PS: This is not a litRPG, but I do borrow heavily from TTRPGs for inspiration, and the general setting and storyline is from a TTRPG campaign I'm running.] [PPS: This is my first attempt at writing long-form fiction. I'm not trying to make a great piece of literature or have a multi-novel overarching plot, but hopefully it'll still be a fun story - let me know what you think in the comments.] [PPPS: Cover image is from a free-download wallpaper by Tyler Edlin; I do not own it, and will take it down immediately if requested.]
