[About a half an hour later, Wednesday gains consciousness and wakes Enid up from her nap]
Wednesday: Where are we?
Enid: Well, the elevator fell down after that creature ATTACKED it and when it fell it knocked us BOTH out Then I woke up with that scratch healed so I was able to pick you up and hide use here. Also, because I have an accelerated healing factor, I woke up WAY before you and was able to remember EVERYTHING.
Wednesday: Okay, now you're overexplaining it.
Enid: Sorry.
Wednesday: Now HOW do we get out of here?
Enid: I know theres a staircase or latter somewhere cause theres no way that creature could've left without leaving claw marks in the walls if there wasn't.
Wednesday: But heres the problem. Are you SURE that creature left?
Enid: Well, yeah. I mean. I don't sense it or anything.
Wednesday: Great. At wheres our light to actually find the exit.
Enid: Oh wow...
Wednesday: See.
[Enid looks down at Wednesdays arm and sees that she still didn't get the bullet out from earlier]
Enid: Oh. I forgot about that.
Wednesday: It's fine. It doesn't even hurt.
[Enid gently grabs Wednesdays arm and touches the wound and Wednesday lets out a painful breath]
Enid: See. We have to get it out. You don't want it to get effected, do you?
[Wednesday side eyes Enid and holds her arm up to her again so Enid could get the bullet out. Enid brings her claws out to successfully take the bullet out of Wednesdays arm]
Enid: And... There it is! Now we just need something to stop the bleeding.
Wednesday: It'll stop by itself.
Enid: When? After that creature smells your blood and chases us again?
Wednesday: It's gone. And there's nothing around to cover the wound so it can wait.

Enid: There is actually.
[Enid rips off part of her sleeve and ties it over Wednesdays wound]
Wednesday: You're such a mom...
Enid: You're NOT dieing on me OR getting infected. You're like the only person I care about.
Wednesday: If I was the only person you cared about then you would listen to me and let me do my own thing instead of doing this against my will.
Enid: Okay. Lets just find the way out or something. Wait... where's Thing?
Wednesday: I guess I left him behind when I came looking for you. Which is also how I got out of the bus after I told him to grab the bus keys so I could pull the bus up to escape.
Enid: Okay, you're right. I shouldn't have locked you in there. I actually needed you...
Wednesday: Don't do that again. Or next time I get out, I WILL find you. And not in the romantic way.
Enid: Wait. Do you hear that?
Wednesday: Oh yeah. That's Thing.
[Thing comes down the ladder with a headband flashlight around his wrist and they all go up the ladder and leave the abandoned basement, heading back to the school bus]
Wednesday: Okay. This is the plan. Enid. You're gonna drive the bus to the front of the school and honk the horn to get everyone in the school on the bus. Thing is going to grab the creatures attention and lure it out of the area. Then I'm going to kill that beast and show it why not to mess with an Addams.
Enid: Okay. But... what if it comes after me?
Wednesday: Then I'll have to kill it faster... Or let it eat you. Not all plans work.
Enid: Stop! Go kill that thing now. Before my anger rises and I kill you.
Wednesday: You know you can't.
Enid: Yeah, you're right.
[Enid and Wednesday lean in for a long kiss and part ways to end this nightmare]
Enid: Oh! Wednesday!
[Just as Wednesday's walking off the bus, she turns back around to face Enid to for what she's going to say]
Enid: Your sword.
[Enid tosses Wednesday her sword and Wednesday catches it]
Enid: Good luck.
Wednesday: I know.

The Hand That Guides
The rust colored lands of Osnein are rich with artifacts and old-world technologies highly valued by the various empires and kingdoms inhabiting this distant world. Though many individuals make a living off what they can scavenge from ruins above ground, the true wealth lies beneath them in a iron labrynth known to all as 'The Network'. Whether it is in the pursuit of knowledge, artifacts of power or immeasurable wealth they all risk their lives in an effort to create a better future for themselves. However, entrances to The Network are far and few and rarely explored as metallic entities known as the Jötnar, guard its very depths. In order to defend themselves against such threats, humanity employs the use of Seidr, also known as sorcery. It is the foundation in which gives power to the incantations invoked from the realms beyond the veil... and through the blessing of 'Ljoss' bestowed upon humanity by the Goddess Oracle, the time may yet come for humanity to claim The Network for themselves... Yet wandering this vast region, with no place to call home, exists a curious individual by the name of Grit. Incapable of Seidr, he possesses a lineage mostly forgotten that he seeks to better understand. The fate that awaits him is likely one he never imagined for himself as he journeys to unravel the secrets of this world. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Disclaimer: This story may contain gore and use of profanity. Path of Righteousness
What do you desire? What are you afraid of? You run away from one, pursuing the other. Is that all you are? Conquer your fears. Dig to the bottom and confirm, what you really want... ...For you cannot escape suffering and death. You only have a little time. Use it wisely. Uru, a young boy with no talent for magic or fighting, sets out on a quest to become an avatar of order, the physical embodiment of righteousness, in a distant future, where control of origin energy allows people to defy physics and manipulate causality. Mocked by fate and broken by impossible dreams, all that's left is to stand in defiance to cruel existence. Because there is a Truth out there, somewhere. Singular, transcendent, eternal. What would you sacrifice for it? *** This is a fantastic sci-fi epic. It's going to blend both western and eastern traditional fantasy tropes – like might & magic and cultivation – with rational sci-fi grounded fully in reality, to produce a purely fictional fairy tale. I'd like to deliver something light-hearted and yet wholly serious. An uplifting adventure exploring the unfathomable reaches of humanity, free of indecency, with a healthy dose of humorous banter, legendary beings, and most importantly – lots of exciting, firework-filled mayhem! I've tried reading many web novels, but there's a fundamental problem with them – the eastern ones are annoyingly repetitive, superficial and morally destitute, while western ones are often dark, convoluted and profane. There's only so much one can do to filter out the bad and try to fill in the gaps with their own imagination. It's one thing to eat tasty fast food, but if it's moldy and filled with toxins, then it's not only poisonous, but also disgusting. The appreciation of beauty and higher values is disappearing at an alarming rate. Although there are throngs of talented people out there, none of them are creating what I want to witness – an inspiring battle against impossible odds, ending in absolute victory. A triumph of the spirit so overwhelming, it crushes the spectator into his seat and takes his breath away. I'm looking for a real paragon, so now I'd like to try conceiving one. *** The MC's name comes from Tolkien's Elven dictionary in Silmarillion, 'Uru' meaning 'Fire', and 'Dagnir an Uruloki' meaning 'Slayer of Dragons'. *** Note: I'm neither a native speaker, nor an aficionado of literature – I've never written anything before, and despite proficient English my literary prowess is abysmal. It therefore takes me a painful amount of effort to polish the chapters and bring them up to par. Last year I wrote and posted some on FictionPress, but I stopped since it wasn't going anywhere. The appalling amount of filth and mediocrity being peddled in all the media nowadays – a result of no conspiracy to manipulate the masses, but plain supply and demand – is no longer just the triumph of form over substance, but most worryingly corruption of the latter. Who wants to read about ideals anymore? And yet, masses flock together to gobble up perversion and depravity. That being said, I can't rule out pitiful exposure as the culprit to my failure, so I am now once again trying to increase it here, possibly for the last time. If there are still human beings present, hungry or in need of a detox after eating too much garbage, make yourselves heard, so I can see a reason to continue the story. Otherwise it's pointless – I'm not going to make fodder for the masses, and I'm most certainly not going to throw pearls before swine. I'll simply stop writing altogether.
