"Yes, darling. You're walking!" Elena cooed as she picked up her toddler after making her first steps.

"Look who finally learned how to walk." Lizzie smiled at her niece, placing a kiss on her forehead.

It was truly a miracle. Elena and Benedict did find a way to have a child, in the end. One night, on their way back from a dinner with their family, the carriage suddenly stopped in the middle of the road.

Curious, Elena got out of wagon and went to see what was was blocking the way. The chauffeur walked towards her, holding something in his arms.

"It's a child, my lady." He stated.

Elena's eyes widened in shock as she stepped closer to take a better look.

She felt her husband's presence behind her and she looked at him. "Benedict... it's a baby."

"The mother must've abandoned it here." The chauffeur assumed.

"Well, are they still breathing?" Benedict asked, worried.

"Yes, they are." He answered. "What shall we do with them, my lady?"

Elena took a moment to think before answering. "We'll raise them, obviously." She answered as she gently held the baby.

"Elena?"

"Benedict, I know this might sound crazy, but I think we should take in this child. We cannot just leave it here, that would be cruel. We've wanted a baby for so long, my love. Maybe, this is our reward for being so patient. What do you think?"

She desperately waited for an answer from her husband.

He smiled at her. "I think I want to raise this child with you."

It was a new chapter to their story.

"Morning, ladies." Benedict greeted Elena and Lizzie, walking into the baby's room.

He walked towards Elena and kissed her on the head. "How is my little Emris doing?" He asked as Elena handed their daughter to him.

"Well she has a lot of energy in the morning, just like her father." Elena chuckled.

"Here, why don't I take her while you love-birds have some breakfast. Emris loves to have fun with auntie Lizzie and uncle Robert." Elizabeth said as she walked out of the room.

When she was gone, Benedict wrapped his arm around Elena's waist from behind. "How did I ever get so lucky?" He asked as he pecked her neck.

"I'm just a lucky charm, I guess." She replied.
