A/N: This was requested by: @ChiaraLM6 I hope u enjoy our little extravagant rose :3
And omg karren with a human S/O is so... unlikely, but it makes it even better! That girl had to swallow her ghoul pride and come to terms with the fact that she fell for her own little mouse. IT'S SO CUTE I C A N ' T.
"Huh, I never saw this place when it was empty." You stated, your eyebrows raised in surprise as you stepped into the immense house. "Echo!" Yeah, nothing happened there. It was sort of embarrassing, but at the same time...
Karren simply rolled her eyes and went back to watering the plants in the room as you carefully took your shoes and coat off.
"Where is everyone anyways?" You curiously asked. "It doesn't seem right that everyone except you had to leave."
"From what Mast-" Your girlfriend glanced your way, cringing when she saw the grimace you made. "From what Shuu said, it's a thing with the city council. And since I'm technically not supposed to be in Japan at all, it was better for me to stay at home."
"Oooh," You teased. "I can't believe it, my girlfriend's a criminal!"
"I'm surprised that you haven't made that conclusion yet, considering all the pictures of me Chie sent you after she heard about us." Karren muttered.
"What? That's not... It's called 'survival', Karren, and it's not a crime whatsoever. As long as it's not excessive killing, I'm fine with it and you know it." You sternly said. "Now, let's not dwell on that too much. We have the house to ourselves!" You cheered, noticing the rinkaku ghoul fearfully look at you. Oh, she wasn't big on the whole fun thing, was she?
"(Y/N)... no." She muttered as you could barely remain in place.
"They won't know anything happened!" You waved off. "We won't wreck the house, trust me! I just feel like you deserve some time off, seeing how you take work way too seriously."
Your girlfriend still seemed hesitant. She glanced around the room, as if the walls and objects would give her a concrete answer. You simply sighed and gently slipped your hand in hers.
"I just want to see you laugh and smile, meine liebe." You said in a much calmer tone. The German seemed to get to her (even if your accent was absolutely awful), however. She, being a bit taller than you, straightened up her back and looked away. You were so close to getting to her to agree! "Karren."

"Promise me you won't break anything!" She finally exclaimed as she looked back at you, eyes begging for you to agree to her terms and conditions.
"We won't break anything at all, I promise!" You accepted, squeezing her hand a little tighter as your smile returned on your face. "We'll have fun!"
"Alright, then. I'll participate to whatever you have in mind." A small smile of her own appeared on her soft lips as she spoke, making your heart melt. Deep down, you wanted to see that very smile, but ten times bigger. "What do you want to do?"
You ripped your hand away from hers and tapped her shoulder before bolting away. "You're it!" You yelled, internally wondering if you should go directly upstairs or stay on this very level for a while. You decided to go down the corridor, concluding that there were other stairways in the mansion, anyways.
Karren stayed still for a few seconds, processing what was going on. Once her brain clicked, she let out an exclamation and ran after you, making you mentally facepalm when her feet carried her out of the entrance at an inhumanely fast pace.
The girl's a fucking ghoul! Did you expect that you, a human, would be able to outrun her? You can't even hide from her because she probably knows your scent all too well.
"I made a mistake!" You screeched as you took a sharp turn in the dining room, going for the stairs instead.
"And you only realize now?" Your girlfriend teased as she successfully jumped over the table and climbed the steps four by four.
"I forgot the ghoul thing!" You admitted. Talking was such a bad idea, considering you were already out of breath (you can't judge too hard, okay? You're being chased by a ghoul, here).
You ran along the hallways as Karren's footsteps were almost on your heels. You needed a plan, and quickly! Human or not, you refuse to loose to her in barely five minutes.
You took a sharp turn to the left and threw yourself into a trapdoor which you knew was connected with the basement. Just like that, you added about three minutes to the game, knowing it would take Karren a while to get downstairs, and by then, you'd have bolted out into the garden. It's way tougher to catch your scent outside, isn't it?
Once the little lift was down to the basement, you crawled out and silently made your way out of the corridor. You just needed to be quick and quiet and she'd never catch you...

You smiled once you were in the servants' bedrooms section of the house. The door leading out into the garden wasn't too far now! You'd win this for sure! Damn, Chie'll be so proud of you when she learns you basically outran Karren.
"I got you!" The voice with the heavy German accent exclaimed as a pair of strong arms wrapped around you and lifted you off the ground to ensure that you weren't capable of running away anymore.
Your screaming and laughing dimmed down into nothing once the lilt of Karren's own laughter reached your ears. That sound was practically angelic to you..!
"(Y/N)?" Karren worriedly asked as she set you down. "Are you okay?"
Crap, she must've thought you stopped laughing because you were hurt or something!
"N-No!" You exclaimed. "Everything's alright! More than alright!" You gave her a bright smile as you told her so.
She looked down on you skeptically, however. "Are you sure? You stopped laughing pretty abruptly."
"I was just in shock. Your laughter's really pretty." You'd have to be blind to not notice the tinge of red that appeared on Karren's cheeks. "And I mean it. It's beautiful. Trust me, I'll do my best to hear it on a daily basis."
The blushing girl stammered, passing a hand through her hair as she searched her mind for something to say. You knew she'd remain speechless, though. Karren couldn't take genuine, loving compliments very well. But she started accepting them, and you felt extremely proud of her for doing so.
When her words couldn't express her feelings, she went for another way to express herself.
Karren leaned down, cupped your cheeks and pressed her lips against yours, taking you completely off-guard. Your hands sort of flew in the air for a while, simply trying to take in the fact that, for the first time in your life, she was the one initiating the kiss. That was such a rare moment!
The purple haired girl pulled away far too soon for your liking, probably alarmed by your lack of response. "I'm sorry, I should have aske-"
"Do NOT apologize!" You cut off. "That was a first for both of us and I loved it! I was just a little shocked is all."
"A first?" Your girlfriend asked.
"Yes!" You nodded. "It's the first time you're the one initiating the kiss! And I loved it, Karren. I feel like we've done some enormous progress since I first met you." You then smirked as you noticed her cringe.
"Don't remind me."
"Let us reenact it, alright? I'll be you and you'll be me." Your smirk widened as she shook her head, silently begging you not to do it. You, however, simply put an overdramatic expression of disgust on your face. You then modified your voice so it sounded like hers, and quoted her exact words from when she first saw you. "That's what you bring with you, Chie? You're not a mouse, you're more of a... cat. Bringing unwanted things to your master like th-"
"I'm sorry! You know I didn't mean to hurt you, I meant to hurt he-"
"It's fine, I find it funny!" You assured. "Look at it this way: You went from looking at me with disgust and refusing to talk to me out of pure pride to looking at me with love and smiling whenever I come talk to you. It's good progress, I'm proud of us."
"I'm proud of us too." Your girlfriend assured. "I'm extremely proud of you, actually."
"I noticed. You use me for a disguise when you have to go into town. It's like you're flaunting me around. 'Look at my partner! You can't have them because I already have them and I'll rip you to shreds if you dare touch them'."
"I wasn't jealous." Karren huffed, your words making her recall that one accident where a guy started flirting with you when the two of you were out. "He was already a threat to the Tsukiyama family. And a ghoul. If he wanted anything, it was to eat you."
"Whatever you say, sweetheart." You said before smiling. "But really, I'm proud of you, Karren. I love you."
"Ich liebe dich auch." She answered before wrapping her arms around you and hugging you tightly. You reciprocated the hug, basically melting into her as the two of you stood there, simply enjoying each other's company. "Thank you for loving me, (Y/N)."

Going on tilt is like falling in love: both make you foolish and should be avoided at all costs. *BROOKEI hate Dean Hollis.I tell myself that every day. And some days, I almost believe it. Some days, I sell myself on at least a solid dislike of who he is and what he stands for.Like his stupid charming smile. His stupid sculpted forearms. And his stupid addictive cologne that leaves me light in the head and weak in the knees. He's a vintage blend of infuriating and intoxicating, all in one deceptively handsome bottle.Let's not forget his notoriety for emotional hit-and-runs. Dean is a bad decision just waiting to happen. I would know.Been there, done that... Literally.*DEANI remember the first time I saw Brooke Maccabe. My first thought was, holy shit. That's the hottest girl I've ever seen. I was trying to think of a good pickup line when she walked up to our door and gave Brendan a hug.My next thought was, fuck my life. Because that dime? She was my best friend's baby sister. And she was sixteen.Verboten. Off-limits. The Demilitarized Zone. She may as well have had a blinking red neon sign over her head that read, 'Look but don't touch: Violation punishable by death'.Problem is, I really wanted to touch. And the even bigger problem is, nine years later, I did.*18+ for explicit adult content
