A/N: I'm not sorry about how much I write about Karren. I'm so fucking gay for her it's incredible. It gets a bit smutty so watch out
As she stealthily jumped out of her bedroom window, Karren thought to herself. Sneaking out like this was very bad, and she could be severely punished for it, but for you, she'd do anything. Including sneaking out of the Tsukiyama estate. She was just glad Master Mirumo had given her a room with a window.
Once out of the property, a smile adorned her face and she quickly made her way to where the two of you always met up.
She couldn't help it. She couldn't help smiling, she couldn't help breaking the rules, she couldn't help sneaking out past curfew, she couldn't help but let her mind wander to you when she was supposed to be working, she couldn't help but love you.
But it was all worth it because you loved her too, and that made her the happiest ghoul on Earth. She just hoped she had the same effect on you. You deserved the world, after all.
"Oh? It seems someone's rebellious." She heard your teasing voice call out, the smirk evident in your tone. Turning around, Karren's smile widened at the sight of your beautiful face.
"People would do anything for love." She answered. Your smirk turned into a genuine smile and she could have melted right there and then. How did she deserve someone like you?
"Glad we're both on the same page." With that, you extended a hand to her, which she gladly took, shivers running through her body at the physical contact. No matter how many times the two of you would do this, it always felt like the very first time. "Let's go, Karren."
She let you drag her towards the designated place as her mind wandered again. The way her name— her real name— rolled off your tongue, exactly like how her family pronounced it made her unbelievably ecstatic. The unconditional love you showed towards her brightened up her point of view on everything. Suddenly, you were there and nothing could tear the two of you apart. Not even the Doves.
Not even genders.
She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard that angelic voice of yours speak up once again.
"Hey, Touka." You greeted as the two of you entered the shop, heading towards your usual table.
"Nice to see you again, (Y/N)." The purple haired ghoul smiled. "Back with your boyfriend I see?" She teased. The grip you had on Karren's hand tightened.
You nervously chuckled. "Yeah. This place is too perfect." You said. Karren could hear the slight change in your voice.
She hated seeing you in any kind of negative mood, but seeing how much you cared about her and how people didn't view her as how she wanted to be viewed... It made her heart swell with love.
Settling down into the small booth, face to face, the two of you immediately engaged in a conversation about everything and nothing, updating each other on your lives.
As usual, you absolutely wanted to hear all about your girlfriend, who denied, using the same excuse as always.
"My life's boring, (Y/N). I'm a mere servant. But please, tell me about how work went. You work at an E.R, so tell me about new cases! Those are surely more interesting than anything I could give you." Karren's words were ignored.
"No, Karren! Tell me what idiocies Shuu did recently, how training went! And how you're doing, tell me how annoying that little mouse is, too! I want to hear all about it, Karren. It may seem boring to you, but what I live is normal to me, you know. Perspectives are never the same!" With that, you leaned your chin on your hands, avid to hear about Karren's life.

The gesture always got the same reaction from her. She bashfully smiled, a blush adorning her cheeks and the bridge of her nose like red freckles before she hesitantly started explaining it all to you. Your feedback was amazing, as always, asking questions, giving your opinion, giving her advice and adding a few jokes here and there.
She had barely noticed that your friend Yomo had come by to give the two of you your usual cups of coffee.
Luckily, you thanked him for the both of you and he nodded, leaving without a word.
Karren giggled. "My little social schmetterling." She cooed. It felt so good to let this part of her roam free, for her to fully be herself and be able to freely love someone like she wants to.
You smiled and rolled your eyes, denying being a social butterfly and took a sip of your coffee.
"I've told you about everything that happened since we last met up, so it's your turn to speak up, liebe." Karren said, drinking the coffee in front of her, not-so-subtly checking you out. She just adored the way you looked. Who wouldn't?
You chuckled. "This guy cut his hand with a chainsaw and came in for—and I quote—'stitches'."
Karren couldn't help but snort, before covering her mouth and nose with her hand. You smiled brightly, "Don't cover it up! I love it when you laugh like that."
"So? What happened?" Your girlfriend asked.
"He went into surgery and we had to amputate his ring finger and pinky. Otherwise, he'll live." After that, you had talked about a few more cases you thought Karren would like to hear, before deciding it was time she headed back before someone knew she was gone. After exiting the shop and walking to somewhere a little more private, you stopped in your tracks to take hold of both of her hands.
"I had fun tonight." Karren told, softly smiling.
"Just like every other time." You teased. "But me too. You make my week, Karren. I love you."
You had talked about heart attacks a few times, and now she got to experience one. Karren's heart went into a frenzy. You both had said those three words countless times before, yet she couldn't get enough. She'd put those words on repeat in her mind if she could.
Quickly leaning towards you, she captured your lips in a passionate kiss, letting her emotions guide it as you kissed back with just as much fervour, if not more. Your hands left her own, causing her to nearly whine, until you placed one her left cheek and the other on the side of her neck.
Before she could deepen the kiss, you pulled back. "Enough for tonight. I can't keep you here for too long or they'll figure it out."
Karren nodded, holding back a pout. "Next week, same time?" She asked. To her surprise, you shook your head.
"No. Next week, at ten PM, wait in the backyard, and wear all black. I have a surprise for you." You said, smiling at the end of your sentence.
"A surprise?" Karren repeated, curious. "What is it?"
"That defeats the purpose of a surprise, though!" You exclaimed, then giggled. "Here's a clue: I'll reveal something to you."
"I can't wait." With that, she took hold of your right hand and lifted it to her face, placing a soft kiss on your knuckles. Laughing, you placed your other hand on your forehead.
"Ah, I am afraid we must part ways, my love!" You dramatically said. "But fear not! Next week, an angel of adoration and endearment shall bless you!"

"Farewell, my one and only." Karren said, playing along.
"Farewell!" You answered, standing still. Most likely you wanted to watch her leave.
"I don't want to turn my back on you." Karren confessed, laughing at her own silliness.
"Neither do I." You admitted. "Here, on three, we'll both go, okay?"
Karren nodded, and you counted.
"One, two, three!" With that, the two of you turned around and walked away.
Wanting to catch one last glimpse of you, Karren turned her head, only to see you turn her head towards her too. The two of you laughed as you walked into opposite directions, keeping eye contact until she turned a corner.
Gosh, how love could change her for the better.
••••
Slipping her trench coat on, Karren hastily climbed out of her window and headed towards the backyard, staying in the shadows, waiting for you. She had no idea how you would even get here, but she knew you could make it. You were strong enough to do anything, after all.
Spotting a strange glow of white near the gazebo, Karren made her way over. Seeing as how it was fading away, she quickened her pace and climbed the small stairs, peering through the dark. Once she found a figure on the other side, she called out, "(Y/N)?"
You turned towards her, your smile glowing in the faint moonlight. "Hey, Karren. How are you?"
"Better now that I'm with you." She said, slowly making her way towards you. "I couldn't get what you told me out of my head. An angel of adoration and endearment? A surprise? I'm dying of curiousness, liebe." She wrapped her hands around your waist, pulling you close.
"I'm sorry for tormenting you so, Karren, but now you'll get to see." You smirked, wrapping your arms lazily around her shoulders. "See, I realized we're ready to take this relationship one step further."
Karren's heart skipped a beat. She had been waiting for this moment for so long... To feel you to a much more intimate level.
"I think it's time you get to see my kagune." You confessed, absolutely entertained by Karren's surprise.
"Your kagune?" She asked. Last time she was updated, it wasn't a part of the relationship manual...
"It's a part of us, the way the kagune builds itself reflects who we are, our intelligence, our imagination... I'd love to see yours." You smiled sweetly. "I've been trying to come up with its form for forever. My guess is that you're a rinkaku."
"That, you are right." She smiled. You knew her so well. "And you're... A koukaku." She stated, gazing into your eyes for the answer. You nodded. "Show it to me, Karren. I want to see all of you." You purred, taking a step back so you could see the full effect.
"I want to see yours first." She stated, fiddling with her fingers. How was she so nervous about this?
"We'll do it at the same time, okay?" You said, fingers on the rim of your shirt to probably pull it up. You didn't want to ruin your clothing just yet.
Blushing, Karren nodded as you pulled the fabric off of you, exposing more skin than she had ever seen. Once her eyes came into contact with your chest, they stayed glued there for a while, until her eyes snapped back to yours.
"One," you counted.
"Two," Karren continued, taking off her trenchcoat and lifting her back of her shirt herself to keep from ruining her own clothes.
"Three." The two of you said, both letting the ghoul organ rip out from your skin, your kagune illuminating the night in pure white.
Once your eyes landed on Karren's rinkaku, you couldn't help but let your jaw drop.
"It's just like a rose..." You whispered in bewilderment. "It has thorns just like a rose..." Once your eyes had taken in all of it and you made sure it stayed imprinted inside your mind, you glanced back at your lover's face only to see that she was in a state of absolute admiration.
"You're an angel." She muttered. Karren had imagined many things for your kagune, from strong and intimidating to fluid and gracious, but she had never considered it to image you so literally. The purple head always thought of you as a being of true beauty and love, a saint. An angel. "Can you fly with those?" She timidly asked, approaching you to observe the pair of wing-like kagune sprouting from your shoulder blades.
"It's how I got here." You explained. "It's an advantage in fleeing from the enemy, but I can hardly kill someone with them unless I change the shape, but I don't like to."
Of course. You were too good to kill anyone, which just made it so much more fitting for you.
Realizing how her kagune must look next to yours, she retracted it back into her skin, causing you to do the same with yours.
"I love your kagune already." You said, fingers sliding under her shirt to trace her back, where her kakuhou resided.
"So do I." She mindlessly answered. Shaking her head, Karren stuttered. "I-I mean yours! I love yours."
You thanked her and kept caressing her back tenderly, causing goosebumps to manifest of her skin.
You glanced into her eyes, leaning in slowly, teasingly, making sure she could feel your breath on her lips. You knew it drove her crazy when you flickered your eyes down to her lips like you were doing right now.
It was all it took for Karren to crash her lips on yours, backing you up into a corner and pressing you against a beam, causing you to let out a small moan at the pressure she put on your body. Your hand slid further onto her back as hers found their way to your shoulders, holding you close.
Breaking the kiss, Karren panted, "I love you so much."
You smiled, trailing your free hand on her now swollen lips. "I love you as much. If not more."
"Unmöglich." She whispered.
You raised an eyebrow. "Then I guess tonight, I'll show you the impossible."
With that, you quickly slid your foot under hers, successfully making her fall onto her back. You cringed at the sound her body made when she hit the wooden floor, but still leaned down, straddling her lower abdomen. "Sorry for the fall. I had to catch you off-guard." You said as you lowered your face to her neck, peppering kisses along her jawline, down her jugular and on her throat, occasionally sucking and licking but being very careful on not giving her any hickeys. As much as you wanted to mark her as yours, she could get in trouble if the other servants saw the marks.
She emitted a few moans before slapping a hand on her mouth, biting a finger to keep from making any more sound. You stopped your ministrations. "Don't stop. I love those sounds." You panted, showing her how much they affected you through lustful eye contact.
Seeing how hot and bothered they actually made you, Karren slowly took her hand off, deciding to play with your hair instead as your hands started unbuttoning her shirt, kissing your way down to her stomach as soon as more skin had been revealed. By now, she was putty in your hands.
Your touch was intoxicating and the way your hands glided over her torso to take off the fabric made her shiver.
You made your way back up to her neck and licked her collarbone. You knew she was a bit insecure about her body, but you had to let her know how much you loved it as it was.
"You're so beautiful." You whispered, fingers ghosting down her arms, back up, and down her built stomach. This woman had fucking abs and you loved it. "I love you so much. All of you."
Karren could have let you have it your way, if it weren't for the fact that she was literally doing no work at all, and it bothered her.
She found a way to wrap her legs around your hips, making you smirk and grind your hips to hers. It nearly made her disband her plan, but she was determined to make you feel as good as you were making her feel.
Quickly shifting her weight, she successfully pinned you to the ground, both hands on your wrists, face merely inches apart.
Taking the chance, she crashed her lips on yours again, wasting no time to lick and bite your bottom lip, asking for permission, which you granted with no hesitation. Her tongue battled yours for a while until you gave up and let her explore your mouth to her heart's content. Your taste made heat pool down between her legs, her hips pressing onto yours for the slightest bit of friction.
She pulled back, satisfied by your flustered expression. Karren's attention went to your neck, kissing and biting wherever she could, finding many sweet spots along the way. She made sure to keep track of each of them.
She felt you tug against her hands, which gave her awareness of them once again. Her grip on your wrists faltered only to slide her hands into yours, intertwining your fingers as she ventured further down your body.
That night had been etched into her mind forever. She was finally loved and she could finally love another.
EXTENDED ENDING
"Kanae?" Karren's attention went from the roses she was watering to Matsumae, who was somewhere else in the backyard.
"Yes, Matsumae?" Karren asked, her tone a bit too giddy. Who could blame her? After the events of yesterday, the effects of sex after glow you gave her still didn't wear off.
"Could you... Come here for a minute?" The superior sounded puzzled, to say the least.
"I'm on my way!" Karren couldn't even control her good mood as she set down everything and (skipped) walked towards where Matsumae was.
She froze before the stairs of the gazebo, almost horrified to see what Matsumae was holding.
"Has there been anyone around here last night?" The servant asked, turning around to fully show Karren the pair of black lace panties she was holding.
Those were yours.
How could you have forgotten your own undergarments?!
"They m-must have f-flown out when I w-was drying m-my laundry..." She lied, obviously nervous.
Matsumae eyed her suspiciously before handing her the underwear.
"That's cute, Kanae." She said, an unrecognizable tone in her voice.
Turning around, Karren clutched the underwear, using all her willpower to not smell them.
"The two of you are cute together, but please try to keep the volume down. You nearly woke up Master Shuu." Karren's jaw dropped at Matsumae's words, heartbeat increasing tenfold.
