《》A Fucking Nightmare

Ever since Rose and Alice left the younger woman's apartment Alice could feel a pair of eyes looking and has been following them ever since. She wanted to pray to her great many times over grandparents for aid. However Alice knows that it is futile since Gods and Goddesses' do not interfere in the affairs of mortals. So she just opted to just asking them to watch over her and her grandparents responded when she heard the sky rumble. Which made Rose jump a bit since the sky was not cloudy nor were there any signs of raining Alice just chuckled.
When they finally reached the foster care center Alice finally identified the person that was following them. It was a man with sunglasses, wearing a suit and he has not once taken his eyes of them. It worried and creeped Alice out since the man wasn't even looking at her he was only looking at Rose. That made the alarm bells in her head go off since Rose did not have any enemies and as far as she was concerned she wasn't even a descendant of the divine.
So for an unknown man to take an interest on her made her anxious so Alice stuck close to her friend. They entered the building and was directed at the office of the woman that took care of Jed. The two sat down and Rose asked her question.
"I would like to ask if you could tell me where my brother is fostered at?" The woman looked down on her laptop.
"Can you give me the name of your brother?" The woman asked
"Jed Walker ma'am." The woman typed the name
"Ahh this boy...but before I tell you where he is I also need to ask you a few questions is that alright?" Rose nodded and Alice held her hand in support.
"Now am I correct to believe that you want to gain custody of your brother?" Rose nodded at the question.
"Then may I ask if you have a job?" Rose looked at Alice and the older girl gripped her hand to give her strength.

"I work as a receptionist at a hotel and at the same time a book author. I already have a contract with a publisher so publishing my books isn't really difficult." The foster care worker was impressed.
Alice took this as a good sign since it might convince her to give Rose her brother.
"Do you have a health insurance?"
"Yes I have in fact I have it here with me." Rose took out her health insurance and gave it to the woman.
"Final question do you have a home?"
"I live at an apartment and the living capacity is 4 so space is not an issue." Rose answered the woman.
"Well everything seems to be in order, your brother is being fostered by a man named Barnaby along with his wife. He was a former friend of your father's so we weren't hesitant in fostering him to them." Rose smiled and gave a thank you to the woman.
"Before you go I have some papers that needs your signature then your brother's custody is yours." Rose gave a nod and the woman went to a near by shelf and grab some folders.
Alice excused herself saying that she was going to the rest room. When she left the office she went back outside the building and saw the man standing near her car. From the looks of it he has been waiting for them for a while now.
She went over to him and called to him to grab his attention.
"Can I help you?" The turned around and gave her a charming smile.
She would have been fooled if she was a weak minded woman however with a grandparent like Zeus and a scumbag for a father, Alice has learned to be cautious around men.
"Yes, I'm looking for a woman named Rose from my understanding you know her." Alice guard went up as her suspicions were confirmed.
"Yes I do, is there something you wanted to say to her? I could just pass the message along." Alice told the man and if it did came down to fight it won't be a problem since the place where she parked her car is somewhat secluded.

"I would prefer to say it myself actually.' The man told her and she didn't even bother to hide her frown.
Something was off about him and she can't put her finger on it, like he wasn't human but he wasn't divine either. She quickly scanned her mind to anything suspicious that she has heard or seen in the last few months. When it finally hit her of who this man could be Alice gave the man a malicious grin which made him involuntarily shiver.
"You've been having a fun time these past few years haven't you?" The man frowned at her question since it suddenly came out of the blue.
"What the hell do you mean by that woman!" The man harshly asked her and it made her chuckle.
"I know who you are my dear, dear Corinthian." Alice told the Corinthian and grabbed his neck tightly.
"H-how th-the hell did you fi-find out?" Alice gave him an innocent smile not answering his question.
It amuses her how hard he tried to get out of her grip and it just causes her to grip him even tighter. It doesn't matter if he breathes or not since he doesn't need oxygen to live. He feeds on the fears and nightmares of the people around him.
"I know a certain immortal who would love to get his hands on you." The Corinthian' eyes widened, fear evident on his eyes since he knows only one immortal is currently pursuing him.
"Well aren't we scared...daddy dearest will be very happy in seeing you again little one." Alice gave the Corinthian a wink and the nightmare just paled.
"I asked the King of Dreams and Nightmares, Lord Morpheus, Dream of the Endless to come to me in order to settle the life debt that this divine owes me." Alice called out to the Endless and the immortal came in a surge of sand the dream king appeared before her.
"Alice White you called, for what reason do-" The dream king didn't finish his sentence as he saw one of his missing arcana at the hands of the mortal woman.
"I have here in my hands your little nightmare I will consider us even and your debt fully paid if you ensure that this wretched bastard never comes near my friend. Do we have an agreement Lord Dream?" Alice asked hoping that the Endless agrees to her proposal.
"Consider it done Alice White." Alice smiled and hurled the nightmare at Dreams feet.
He raised his hand to the Corinthians face and Alice saw as the Corinthian slowly faded out of existence. The only thing left of him is dust and a skull to which the dream king took. The Endless then turned his attention to Alice and the woman gave him a deep curtsy.
"Thank you Lord Dream, I hope that you have been faring well?" Alice asked and the immortal just gave her a nod.
"With this my life debt to you has been settled as a gift should you ever be in danger just call my name and I will arrive there to assist you." Alice smiled at the dream king's generous gift.
"You are indeed generous my lord thank you." He gave her a small smile and left.
"Well this day was interesting." Alice thought to herself
"ALICE!" The woman turned around and saw Rose holding a folder.
"I was worried since you didn't come back." Alice gave her a peace sign
"Sorry Rose I just got a call from a co-worker so I just opted to wait here for you." Rose just sighed
Well come on, I have the address of the foster home that Jed is currently living at." Rose told Alice
The two women entered the car and drive off to the location of Jed Walker. Alice can't wait to meet the little guy since Rose kept telling her how adorable and a good kid the boy is.

8 173An Id of Primal Chaos
TAG DISCLAIMER: The tags 'Portal Fantasy / isekai', 'High Fantasy', and 'Non-Human Lead' do not take place until later on in the novel. Probably mid-way through the first volume. The 'villainous lead' tag is a very loose tag. Some of the things the mc does can be considered villainous to those with a staunch moral code, however, I have not made the mc out to be overtly villainous. True Title: Advent of the Silent Storm (I came up with the original title a while ago, before I had even written a single chapter. It still kind of fits but this new title fits a lot better. I would change it but I don't know if it would screw up the recommendation algorithm.) Excerpt: My mind wanders through the soup of unconsciousness, still startlingly awake despite my physical form’s stasis. Electricity completely paralyzes the air around me and lightning flashes in a constant strobe of blinding light. The ground, thousands of feet below my being has been wiped clean of all manmade artifice and natural beauty; leveled, through absolute power. My power. Synopsis: Tetal Faelen, a very successful businessman with lofty goals, is introduced to an omniscient being through less than pleasant means. This being has an irresistible offer for Tetal with next to no downside. Tetal can’t help but wonder, “What’s the catch?” Additional Notes: Second novel I have started within the Web of Interconnected Realities. My other novel is not posted on this site so don't bother looking for it. I might post it here in the future.

8 176Destiny Rewritten
I got this idea after watching Elseworlds. How might things have changed if Oliver's arrow didn't just destroy the book of destiny? What if it also did one more rewrite to reality? As in reset reality back to 7 years ago, when Oliver first returned home from Lian Yu. How might things have turned out different for him if he suddenly got a do over and he was the only one who realized it? This story will contain some elements from my Frosty Arrow fic. And now enjoy Destiny Rewritten.
