Making it to Slateport city, I stop at the Pokémon centre and enter myself into the Pokémon contest "alright! This is it..my second ribbon is going to be mine!" I said

"This is it! The Pokémon contest is in two weeks! So let's get some training in" I said as they all nodded "now..Manetrick why don't you and Grovyle go and relax, I want to try my other Pokémon k. But I promise to use you two at the next gym."

"Alright..now why don't we try, hold up.." I heard something in the distance, like a familiar voice "I heard May's voice but..the second one..it couldn't be.."
I run up the side..seeing the others and.."Drew!" "Hm?" I run up to him as both him and May looked towards me "Amber, when did you arrive?" May asked "not that long ago..as for you..why didn't you tell me you were here?!" I asked "is it my job to let you know where I am?"
"You know him?" May asked as I nodded "May this is Drew, he's my rival in Pokémon Contests. Drew these are my friends, May, Ash, Max and Brock." I said as I pointed to the others
"I heard some commotion..and decided to check it out. What have you done this time, Drew?" I asked him "nothing wrong..just telling her why she won't win the contest" Drew said "oh geez..May I'm so sorry for him.." I said "it's alright..at least Ambers nice enough to know that I'll win."
"Cmon..let's get outta here, we'll see ya Amber" I nod as I turn to Drew "mind telling me..why you want to upset my friends?" I asked "I don't get why they are your friends..there just a bunch of kids, waisting your time" he said "I can't believe you..let's go guys"

Corphish hit the object, but it don't work out how I wanted it to.."that won't work..I'm running out of ideas.." I said "let's take a walk..maybe I'll find something" I said as we walked through the forest
"Torchic!" I heard a Torchic falling not far from here "is that May's?! Corphish let's go!" "Phish!"
"Ah! May, Drew!" I stop beside May looking up and Drew "what's going on Drew?! Why does May look angry?" I asked "all I asked her to do is..battle me for the Bluck Barries" I look at May as she nodded smiling "why don't you battle me then? Same rules..I win, you give those Barries to May. You win..you get to keep them..so we have a deal?"

"Let's do this! Swablu..Fury Cutter lets go!" I Commanded as Swablu flew towards Roselia "Roselia, use petal dance" Drew commanded, Roselia, spin around sending petals
swablu's way.
"Swablu!"
"Stun Spore, Roselia!" Roselia sent out Stun Spore through its petals "Swablu! Are you okay?!"
"That was easy..I expected a lot more from you then that, Amber" Drew said "Swablu..Cmon girl get up please.."
"Roselia..finish it off with, Magical Leaf"
"Get up please!" I shouted "Blu.."
"Swablu..Dragon Pulse!" "Blu! Swa~..Blu!!"
"No way!" Roselia was blown away by the Dragon Pulse "no! Roselia!" Drew shouted "nice job, Swablu!"

"Give those Barries back!" May shouted "Swablu..I want you to stay out of there sight..they can't grab you k" I whispered "Blu.."
I saw them fly off "let's go, Swablu! I'll talk to you later, Drew!" I said running after Team Rocket.
Pikachu tried to use Thunderbolt..but it didn't do a thing *they hooked a lighting drain thing..*
They tried again..but nothing "Solar Beam go!" My eyes widened when I saw the Solar Beam "Drew!" "Not sure what's going on but..happy to assist" he said as I smiled
"Alright Pikachu..Thunderbolt them again!"
"Corphish..Bubblebeam and Swablu, Dragon Pulse!"
"Roselia, Solar Beam!"
They got hit by the attack and was sent flying to who knows where "Swablu!!"
"Beautifly use String Shot!"
When I saw Swablu evolve..I was happy for her "return Roselia" I turn to Drew smiling "Drew..thanks for the help. And uh..sorry for yelling at you back there" I said "it's fine..I like it when you yell tho..makes you look cute" he said turning and walking away
My face was completely red after he said that "Taria?" "A..Amber! Are you okay?! Do you have a fever?!" May asked "c..Cute.."
"Taria? Altaria!"

The game's technology will surpass all other games before it and shock the masses. Hector who goes by the name Locke inside the game is an experienced player of the genre. He is looking to continue his goal of enjoying gaming as well as the competition that goes along with competing for the top ranking spots. Novel Summary The Depths of Magic is a LitRPG novel focused on a Fantasy VRMMO setting. This is not a harem novel. In-Game systems The Depths of Magic features state-of-the-art technology never before seen in Hector's world. The key system the novel will bring up often is the Second Brain. The Second Brain system is more like a guidance AI for the players in the game that acts as if you had a second brain assisting your every action. How much guidance this AI will give is based on its experience or mastery skills a player will receive in the game. The guidance is seamless to a point where a player won't even realize they are being assisted, it's will feel like what they are doing is something they could always do. However, once they leave the game it will become quite apparent that they were receiving heavy guidance. The purpose of this system in a writing sense is to explain why a player can realistically become more powerful, more agile, or more skilled than they would otherwise be able to as a human. To give an example if someone could move faster than a bullet, how would a normal human brain be able to perceive and control this movement properly. Or how could a player who has never held a sword before become as experienced as someone who has trained with the sword all their lives? The magic system will be another focus of this novel. I don't want to spoil anything here but it should be an interesting one. The hope is that the system I have made will spark discussion between the readers on what combinations will do what. I already have most of it, but it will be fun to read as the author. Side notes My general focus for this novel is to attempt to make the in-game systems make sense. To give a vague example I have read a lot of novels of this genre and some have the habit of just creating such powerful items that it just breaks the system, and somehow the MC keeps finding challenging situations even with those items. What tends to happen when I read a novel like this I just ignore the stats of the items he is getting because the numbers don't even matter anymore.
