Marinette's POV

We were all on our way to Paris as we flew in Bruce's private jet. Dick and Jay were playing a game of goldfish while Tim was doing his usual hacking. As for the kwamis, they were enjoying the buffet and food that was available on the aircraft. Damian was sitting next to me all the while I was leaning my back on his shoulder while I tried designing some clothing for him and batfamily.

And first on my list was Bruce. I looked at him then continued to sketch. I had a keen eye; I could just watch a person and guess their size right off the back. It's a skill I developed over the years. Once I was done with him, I got started on Dick. I turned to look at him and Jay and one can only guess that he was winning. I softly giggled and designed both their outfits.

Bruce, check...Dick and Jay, check... Timothy, check... Now I just have Damian. And only 30 minutes to spare before landing. I looked up at him as my head now rested on his lap. I pushed the book that he was reading aside and looked him up and down. I released the book and started sketching. "Are those for us?" I looked up to see his face instead of the book he was reading.

Marinette: Oh, uhh...yeah. I sketch when I'm bored. I'll have them done by next week.

Damian: You don't have to.

Marinette: But I want to. Call it a thanks for your hospitality, birdie.

Damian: Hm, alright. Whatever you say.

He returned to his book while I thought of his suit design. Got it. And just like that, my pencil started moving once again.

We landed in the city of Love and I immediately called over my personal limo. And within a few minutes, it had arrived..with an unwanted stowaway. Marin. I glared at him and so did he with me. I entered the vehicle as the driver apologized. I nodded and told the batfamily to get in. Dick, Timothy and Jay sat next to Marin, Alfred, Bruce and Damian sat next to me and the kwamis sat in front.

The car began to move and so we were off. I looked out the window trying to avoid my 'fool of a brother' but he kept staring at me. "If you have a problem, say it to my face, Marin. Don't bother me with your looks." He kept the same poker face and replied, "The problem is that you ran away from home, went missing for what..almost a week and now suddenly you're back with the same fools who were associated with your 'kidnapping'." I rolled my eyes.

Marinette: If there's any consolation, they are the ones who found me and kept me safe. You should be thanking them instead of disrespecting them with your boorish opinionated comments and blame.

Marin: But am I wrong about the kidnapping? If it weren't for Him, you wouldn't be in this situation, Mari.

Marinette: Only my friends have a right to call me that, brother. And it's Father and Mother's fault for 1. Inviting them, and 2. Allowing the engagement and their son to marry me. Take this matter to them, not me.

We stared at each other with death glares. I heavily exhaled, looking out the window at the upcoming Manor quickly getting closer. *sigh*

Marin's POV

Why is she like this? Affiliated herself with such...indisciplined billionaires. Yes, the money would have been financially feasible to our family but at what cost. My sister was kidnapped for crying out loud and was brought back unconscious and was soon pronounced that she was in a coma. She keeps looking for trouble...or maybe... . *looks at Damian*

We all got out of the limo and made our way into the Mansion. Mother was waiting in the lobby and when she saw Marinette, she immediately ran up to her. Marinette stretched her hand out in between them. "M-Marinette, why do you..-" "Because mother...I have no time for you right now. I'm busy and I have things to do."

She walked straight past her while mother stood there dumbfounded. Marinette walked up the stairs to her room. "Damn, that looked like it hurt. But she kinda deserved it." I heard a mumble from behind me. It was one of the Wayne brothers, the one with the white streak in his bangs. "What do you mean she deserves it?" I questioned in reply.

Jason: I mean what I said. From what pixie-pop told us, she and her father have been ignoring her and not paying her any attention. It's only fair that she does the same. She's been neglected by her parents and may I add you, her only brother, for most of her life.

Marin: And for some reason, I remember things differently. I remember Mother and Father neglected me and going straight to Marinette.

Damian: Whatever the circumstance, she didn't deserve the way she was treated, not to mention being married off to the first billionaire that walks in on a silver platter... Including me.

Marinette isn't some rag doll you people can just throw around and play with. She didn't deserve the treatment she was given and clearly she is sick and tired of such handling.

This boy...he's the one related to those masked rogues, yet he stands up for Mari? "You like her, don't you?" I asked. He grinned, "No, she infuriates me. But...I respect her as a person." I was a bit stunned at his counter. I narrowed my eyes then turned to Mother. She was on her way up the stairs. "Feel free to roam about the Mansion. The rooms are off limits or maybe just don't move or touch anything."

I followed Mother upstairs and realized she was on her way to Mari's room. We opened the door and she was no longer there. What..- Where did she..? We searched the room but we didn't find her, then we went to Father's office only to meet him on the phone with one of our biggest employers. He hung up and heavily exhaled.

Tom: Mr. Ross...is asking for our daughter's hand in marriage to his son, XY. If we agree, we'll get a raise and probably even more money than we'll originally get with the Agrestes.

Damian's POV

I sat down in one of the chairs to soon be joined by Plagg who was again..and to no surprise at all eating Camembert. "This is nice." I raised a brow, "What is..exactly..?" He chuckled, swallowing his cheese in one gulp. "Everything. All of this drama...I haven't had this much fun since the run in with the dinosaurs." He grinned with a hearty smile.

Moments later, a door appeared in the wall down the hall and Marinette walked out with the other kwamis. We all got up to be met by her starting off with a scolding for Plagg. "Plagg, stop running off by yourself. You make me worry sometimes..-" Then Tikki interjected, "Sometimes?" That was a fair point. "Anyways, I got the coordinates to the Workshop. It's okay if you all don't wanna go but, it's now or never."

She looked away while tapping her cheek. My dimwit brother chuckled and nodded, "As I said before pixie, all you need to do is ask." She smiled and honestly..it was refreshing to her smile especially in a place like this A place that caused her so much pain.

Tim: Aww demon, are you smiling?

Damian: *scoffs* No I wasn't, Drake.

Jason: Oh I bet he was. Seeing his Fiancé smiling made him smile too.

Damian: Shut it, Todd!

Dick: Now now guys, No fighting. We all saw him smile but let's not say it, okay.

Jason/Tim: Got it..-

Damian: Hey!

These morons. But..they weren't lying, I guess I did kinda smile too. The things this bond does to me. But, I'm not complaining.
