3rd person POV:

May was on her way to see (Y/n)'s new home and to make sure he's recovering properly.

She was about to close up her gym but stopped when she saw a shadowy figure in the corner.

May: I'm closing, mind getting lost?

Shadowy figure: This old retro style of this place is quite the novelty. I think I like it.

May:!?

May:(glares) Mom...

The shadowy figure walks into the light, revealing herself.

Evelyn: It's been so long since I've seen you in person.

Evelyn: You've... Well, you've not really grown, but you do look good.

May: Tch... What do you want?

Evelyn: I wanted to say a few words before I leave.

May: Save it! After what you put Jason through, you can take those few words and shove it!

Evelyn: I was just trying to make sure he didn't make the same mistake I did...

May: You're insane if you think I'll believe that BS.

Evelyn: I'm getting off track...

Evelyn: What I want to say... Is that I'm sorry.

Evelyn: I wasn't the best mother... And I just wish to try to make amends.

May:(scoff)

May: Yeah, yeah. What's the experiment this time?

Evelyn: There is no experiment. Just the truth.

May: Since when do you tell the truth without some kind of ulterior motive.

Evelyn: Since I learned April died.

Evelyn: He walked up to my cell with a stoic expression that obviously hid sorrow...

Evelyn: And that made it worse... It wasn't you or David that came to tell me...

Evelyn: But it was that bastard Connor!

Evelyn: It didn't help that no one came to visit me after that... I didn't even get to tend to my own daughter's funeral.

Evelyn: That... That hurt me... Made me rethink a few things about myself...

Evelyn: Can we make amends?

May:...

May: Sorry. Too little too late. Especially after what you've done.

Evelyn:......

Evelyn: Understood.

She walks away leaving the gym.

Meanwhile, with (Y/n), he was surrounded by beaten up and unconscious bodies, which wasn't unusual.

(Y/n): Tch, you all think being injured means you can take me on?

(Y/n): Waist of my time.

Thug: Surprise attack-(grunts)

(Y/n):?

Turning around, (Y/n) saw Tiga of all people standing over an unconscious thug.

Almost as injured as (Y/n), Tiga looked around.

Tiga: Seems like you had some fun.

(Y/n): The hell are you doing here?

Tiga: Gotta teach a lesson to that bitch who had my sister kidnapped. Heard a rumor she's in town.

(Y/n): Well fuck off. The only one who will teach a lesson to my grandma is me.

Tiga: In your condition?

Tiga:(scoff)

Tiga: I better come along to make sure you actually manage to do it.

(Y/n): Eat shit! You're in no better condition than I am!

(Y/n): Go back to your daughter.

Tiga: Sister.

(Y/n): Potato-tomato.

Tiga: I ain't going anywhere.

(Y/n): Tch... Whatever. Hope you enjoy being my meat shield then.

The Hellspawn walks away with Tiga following him.

David, the grandfather of the Hellspawn was getting ready to head to the store.

Getting into his car, he inserted the key into the ignition and got ready to back up the car.

Turning around he was shocked to find Evelyn in the back seat of his car.

David:!?

David: Damn it, Evelyn! Don't scare me like that!

David: My heart is in no condition for jump scares.

Evelyn:(smiles) It's nice to hear your voice.

David: Even if I'm a little pissed at you, it's nice to hear your voice too.

Evelyn: Do you remember how we got engaged?

David: Huh? What brought this up?

Evelyn: Do you?

David: Well let's see...

David: I was about to fight the heavyweight champion and take his title.

David: During my previous matches, I noticed this lovely gal I knew from school.

David: She would ignore my advances no matter how hard I tried. But with that wicked simile that she had after we talk, I knew she was playing hard to get.

David: Before my champion fight, I was getting nervous.

David: That's when that lovely gal visited me and offered a bonus if I won.

David: She told me if I won the match, she would marry me.

David: The rest is history.

David: Why do you ask?

Evelyn: Just wanted to know...

Evelyn: Mind telling me one more thing?

David: Sure.

Evelyn: I'm a pretty bad person... So when I was imprisoned, why didn't you see anyone else. Why did you stay loyal to me?

David: You're right. You're selfish at times, manipulative, emotionally distant, you think a lot of people are just lab rats.

David: But who am I to judge. I fell in love with that kind of woman and still am.

David: You screwed up big time. But I'm too old to hold a grudge.

David: If you try, you can make up for what you did.

From the back seat, Evelyn hugs David who places a hand on her hand.

Evelyn: I don't think I can... I'm afraid all I can do is double down on being bad.

David: Don't say that. I'm sure there's a way.

Evelyn: Goodbye, David.

David: Are we going to meet again?

Evelyn:...

Her silence said a thousand words, and the kiss she laid on his cheek said another thousand.

She leaves the vehicle.

Later that afternoon, (Y/n) and Tiga entered a warehouse that a clue led them to.

Tiga: Oi, where are your pals?

(Y/n): Those wimps wanted me to wait until I fully heal before I go after her.

(Y/n): So I told them I was going for a walk.

Tiga: They bought that?

(Y/n): They underestimated how enthusiastic my walks can get.

Tiga/(Y/n):?

Footsteps echoed through the warehouse, making these two monsters of battle stop.

10 thugs then surrounded the tiger and dragon.

Thug: There they are!

Thug 2: Finally, we can get back at them both! What a steal!

Thug 3: Time to kill two birds with one stone.

Thug 4: Technical it's ten stones since there's ten of-

Thug: Shut up Phil! Gosh, you ruin everything!

(Y/n):(sigh)

(Y/n): It's your lucky day everyone. I'm not going to kick your ass, but only if you leave now.

Thug: I-

(Y/n): You lost your chance.

He runs up and punches the thug to the floor.

The other nine thugs immediately rushed at the delinquents.

Tiga elbowed the first thug that reached him in the head. He then grabbed that thug and tossed him in front of an attack from one of his friends.

(Y/n) caught a kick from a thug, then snapped the leg by twisting it.

He then lifted the thug and dropped him into the thug he punched.

Tiga then grabbed two of his attacks by the hair and bashed their heads together, knocking them unconscious.

(Y/n) slammed his palms into the noses of two thugs, stunning them long enough for him to toss them into a few thugs that Tiga was facing.

There was now only one thug left.

Tiga grabbed the man and pushed him towards (Y/n).

(Y/n) and Tiga then simultaneously punched the man, instantly knocking him out cold.

(Y/n): Boring.

Tiga: Let's split up. We'll cover more ground.

(Y/n): Don't tell me what to do.

Tiga: Well I'm doing it.

Tiga leaves in search of Evelyn.

(Y/n): Tch.

(Y/n) goes the opposite direction of Tiga.

After some walking around along with a few kicked down doors, (Y/n) found Evelyn sitting alone in a chair.

(Y/n): Well, well, well... Look who we have here.

Evelyn: Hello Jason...

Her voice lacked the usual confidence he was used to. Her expression was a sad one or perhaps one of defeat.

(Y/n) grabbed a shard of glass before approaching her.

(Y/n): You know, I gotta know...

(Y/n): What gave you the stupid idea to piss me off?

Evelyn:...(sigh)

Evelyn: I made the mistake of lowering my guard, and allowing my self to care about others.

Evelyn: I know just feel horrific... Every day is constant agony.

Evelyn: I wanted to teach you to avoid making the same mistake I did in caring.

Evelyn: Looking back on it now, I just made it all worse.

(Y/n): Tch... Pathetic.

Using the glass shard in his hand he swiped down on Evelyn's left eye.

Evelyn: ARGGH!!

She fell to the floor with her hand on her left eye.

(Y/n): Now both your eyes match.

Evelyn: I... I deserved that... Come on, give me the rest.

(Y/n):(evil grin)

Evelyn closed her eye awaited for the rest of (Y/n)'s wrath, only to hear glass shatter.

Evelyn:?

Opening her eye, she sees (Y/n) walk away.

Evelyn: What are you doing? Hospitalize me!

(Y/n): Nah... Don't feel like it.

Evelyn: What?

(Y/n): Leaving you just like that will hurt you more than any bone I break.

(Y/n):(evil grin) So, see ya.

Evelyn:!?

(Y/n) walks away with Tiga who had heard the conversation.

Evelyn began crying soon after they left.
