Damon, Bonnie, and Elena were going to Whitmore college, so I was going to take the day to rest.

I was laying in bed when I hear a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I shout, still confused on who it was, but it's Stefan.

"Elena, Damon and Bonnie are at the college, want to spend the day with me?" Stefan asks.

"What are you up to?" I ask, crossing my arms.

"I'm going to Klaus', he has the Hunter." Stefan says. "And you and Klaus are—"

"Fine, and we're complicated I'm guessing is what you're going to say." I get up and we head to the mansion.

"Looks like I'll have to beef up the hybrid security detail." Klaus says, hearing is walk in.

"I was going to take him, but I figured you went through such trouble to truss him up in your red room of pain." Stefan tells him.

"It's from the inquisition. I thought it was a nice touch." Klaus smirks.

"What'd you get out of him?" Stefan asks.

"Not enough. He's mum about the council fire and he's not saying anything about this greater evil we're all supposed to be shivering over. What brings you snooping?"

"Well, I can't say it in front of him. As I'm sure you've figured out, our friend here can't be compelled." Stefan says which makes us leave the room.

I'm that moment, hearing Klaus and Stefan go back and forth, it reminded me of Chicago and how annoying they were.

"So what's with the home invasion?" Klaus asks.

"Ash said you knew something about this guy. I should have figured you were up to something when you healed Elena from the werewolf poison without asking for anything in return."

"I healed her because Ash asked me too." Klaus replies, smirking at me.

"We all know that's not all true." I say which makes Klaus glare at me.

"I was feeling benevolent." Klaus responds.

"You're never benevolent. Who is this guy? What's the five?" Stefan asks.

"So many questions." Klaus says, not answering Stefan.

"It's a good thing me and Ash have nothing to do today except get answers out of you." Stefan smirks.

"Fine. You might actually be useful in persuading my sister to cooperate. The brotherhood of the five was a group of highly skilled vampire hunters. We crossed paths with them in the twelfth century. Italy. My siblings and I had followed the Normans as they conquered the south. Feeding, turning people as we went. But with the bloodshed came exposure." Klaus explains.

"So these hunters have been around for 900 years?" Stefan asks.

"Apparently. Well, our friend in the other room is the first I've seen since then. Kind of makes you wonder what they've been up to all these years." Klaus says.

"And Rebekah had a thing with one of the hunters? I ask.

"Oh, she didn't just have a thing. She fell in love with him. He told her all his secrets." Klaus tells us. "Which I will gladly share with you... provided Stefan does one thing for me."

"And what's that?" Stefan asks.

"Get Rebekah over here. She's being stubborn. And hateful. I need to make peace with her. I want her to give me some very important information about the hunter, which she won't do unless she believes we've made up."

"And... what's in it for me?" Stefan asks Klaus.

"Just get her here and I'll tell you. Oh, and Stefan... trust me when I say this— that hunger in there holds the answer to all your prayers." Klaus says which makes me furrow my eyebrows.

Stefan leaves which I didn't like, it just left me and Klaus.

"What did you mean by it was the answer?" I ask and Klaus just shrugs, not telling me.

"Ashley, when you talking to the new girl, you said we care for each other, meaning you also care for me." Klaus points out.

"Yeah, cause I do, even when you're an ass. What about it?" I say and I could tell he was surprised. I'm guessing he expected me not to admit it like that, but it's already out in the open.

"And you say it's complicated, but it's not really. The feelings are straightforward, I think what's complicated for you is what you want." Klaus says walking closer towards me.

"What do you mean?" I ask and it felt like my heart skipped a beat.

"Don't play stupid, you're a smart girl. You know exactly what I mean. You still haven't done anything about it yet."

"Because I still can't forgive you, and I can't be involved with you and not forgive you. And It is complicated. I'm good and you're bad." I respond.

"So if you could forgive me, you would do something about your feelings, is basically what you're saying. Or are you just not forgiving me so it doesn't go further? You don't want it to get more complicated than it already is." Klaus comes closer, sitting next to me.

"I don't know!" I shout. "I'm 16, I don't know what I want! All I know is that I want to forgive you but I just can't! I care for you deeply, as you know and I don't even care that your bad, I see the good in you and I want more without everyone hating me for it!" I shout, which makes Klaus look at me in a different way, i said what i want unintentionally.

"take your time to forgive me, then decided what you want to do because you just told me what you want, I'll wait, love." Klaus smiles, not smirks, smiles.

"I hate how you can do that." I say standing up but then wince.

"What's wrong?" Klaus asks. I start to unwrap the tape and there's a huge bruise, really big on my ankle. "That's not a sprain, it's way worse than that."

"I hate being a huntress sometimes." I say which makes Klaus laugh.

"And you can't fight off the pain?" Klaus asks and i shake my head.

"When i activated my curse, I get anger most of the time, which has nothing to do with my ankle. But I can't fight off the bad parts of being a huntress like I have before. I have a theory that the werewolf part of me makes it harder to heal, since Huntress—"

"Makes it hard to heal alone, being a werewolf is draining your strength. You have to be able to handle all aspects of being the huntress, it's making you not as powerful as you can be." Klaus tells me and I nod.

"Well, I can't fight this." I say looking at my ankle.

"When you get home you have to ice it, it's not getting better on its own." Klaus looks at me seriously.

"Ok, i will." I say as Stefan and Rebekah walks in.

"Is this a trick?" Rebekah asks. "How do you know he's one of the five? Where's his bloody tattoo?" Rebekah was talking about Connor.

"It's on his right arm I'm pretty sure. It's huge. Only Huntress or hunters of some kind can see it." I say.

"Let's eat." Klaus says. All I'm hoping is that this dinner won't be like the last one.

Stefan and Rebekah go and sit down, and Klaus helps me get to a seat. I see Stefan and Rebekah eye each other, which made me curious on what they were thinking.

"I could kiss the council for burning up all the vervain in town. They made my life so much easier. Rebekah, love, eat your veggies." Klaus says.

"I'm not eating till you apologize." Rebekah replies back.

"For which indiscretion?" Klaus asks. "There have been so many."

"You broke my neck." Rebekah says.

"You threw away Elena's blood so I can't make any more hybrids."

"Cause tog took me for granted!" Rebekah raises her voice slightly.

"That's what big brothers do, sweetheart!"

"Let me just name the million other people I'd rather be having dinner with right now." Stefan says, which was so true.

"I agree. This dinner might be worse than the last one. You both did bad things, just apologize so we can hear the rest of the story." I say which makes Stefan smirk.

Ok, ok, fine. I'm sorry, I often forget how delicate you are. Forgive me?" Klaus asks Rebekah.

"I'll take it under consideration."

"Ok, good. Now, why don't you tell us about Rebekah's hunter?" Stefan's says, wanting to get to the point on why we're here.

"Right. Alexander. Nice chap, forgoing the obvious issues. He was looking for creatures of the night, which is why we felt quite safe around him wearing our daylight rings."

"So, that's what this is about?" Stefan asks. "A weapon?" Stefan asks after Klaus talks more about the story.

"Not just any weapon." Rebekah says.

"Rebekah, love, don't get ahead of the story." Klaus smirks.

"How is a weapon the answer to all of my prayers?" Stefan asks and they both don't answer. "Ok. Why don't we just skip the theatrics and get right to the point?"

"Not quite yet. Because I'm order to find this weapon, we need to solve the puzzle, which seems to have disappeared." Klaus says.

"The tattoo. What's the tattoo?" I ask.

"A map. Leading us to its treasure." Klaus tells us.

"Fat lot of good a tattoo's going to do if we can't see it." Rebekah complains.

"We can't, but there are two people who can." Klaus says and i furrow my eyebrows, who's the other?

"Why don't you tell the hybrid to bring him in, love? You see, the hunter was so eager to get to the bottom of his mystery tattoos that he mentioned there was only one other person who could see them."

"Ashley?" I hear Jeremy's voice, which made me beyond pissed at Klaus. I go to get up bit Klaus stops me.

"I wouldn't, especially with your ankle. Lucky for us, young Jeremy here is a bit of an artist." Klaus smirks.

"You know I could've just drawn it for you, right?" I ask.

"I know, not you can't draw can you?" Klaus says and i roll my eyes.

"I'm not helping you with anything." Jeremy tells Klaus and the hybrid throws Klaus his Gilbert ring.

"I'm afraid you are." Klaus says which makes me actually want to explode.

"So tell us more about this tattoo." Stefan says as I'm worrying what Klaus would do to Jeremy.

"My sisters suitor was unwilling to tell us anything. Rebekah, however, was more than willing to... investigate, isn't that right?" Klaus looks at Rebekah. "My sister's boyfriend threw a slumber party that night. He and his brothers put us all down in our sleep. Elijah, Kol, Finn... and me."

"How was I supposed to know?" Rebekah asks.

"Cheers. To my sister's uncanny ability to choose men."

"I thought the daggers didn't work on you because of your werewolf side." Stefan mentions.

"They don't." Klaus smirks and continues talking. "Go ahead, Rebekah. Tell them what the hunter told you the tattoo leads to. What's this great weapon that could bring upon the end of the vampire species?"

"A cure. He said there was a cure." Rebekah tells us which makes me and Stefan furrow our eyebrows.

"There's no cure for vampirism." Stefan gets up and leaves out of anger, or whatever, and Klaus and Rebekah follow. In which I couldn't because of my ankle and I want my ankle to get better. I couldn't hear them anymore.

Minutes later Klaus come back.

"I'm bringing you and Jeremy home, let's go."

"You're a real ass, you know that? Using Jeremy, threatening him in front of me? Such a class act." I say sarcastically.
