《Youth || Klaus Mikaelson》34

Elena finally wakes up, as she's been in and out all night and all morning. We were all shook up about what happened.
"Stefan, Ashley." Elena says, panicked.
"Hey, you've been in and out for hours." Stefan tells her.
"Wh— what happened?" Elena asks.
"You were in an accident." Stefan says looking down.
"Matt, is he—"
"Alive?" Damon interrupts Elena. "Ask Stefan, the hero." Damon was mad Stefan saved Matt first.
"He's fine." Stefan tells Elena.
"Thank you." Elena responds. "I thought that I— how did you..."
"Save you? He didn't." Damon says.
"When Jer brought you to the hospital, your concussion was worse that Meredith let on. She decided to use Damon's blood to heal you, then you died." I tell Elena, holding her hand.
"Oh, my god. Does— does that mean that I... am I dead?" Elena asks, Already knowing the answer. We stay quiet.
"No. No, no, no! That— that wasn't supposed to happen!" Elena panics.
"Maybe it doesn't have to. I talked to Bonnie, she said she's stronger than ever. There might be something she can do to help you." Stefan says, which I thought was bull shit.
"No, the only thing that's going to help is for you to feed and complete the transition." Damon says the obvious.
"We have all day before she has to feed, Damon. That's a day to exhaust every possible way out of this." Stefan replies.
"There is no way out of it!" Damon shouts. "We all know the drill— you feed or you die. There is no door number three."
"I was ready to die. I was supposed to die, I don't— i don't want— I can't be a vampire! If there's something that Bonnie can do, we have to try it."
"Ok. Personally, I don't think there's another way, but we'll try everything." I say, which makes Elena smile.

The brothers went downstairs, probably to argue from what happened.
"Elena, as long as you don't bite my head off, I'll be here to help you get through this. I promise you that, ok?" I assure and she nods.
"I don't want this." Elena cries out.
"I know, I wouldn't want to be a vampire either, I don't want to. I'm so sorry you have to go through this."
—
I was upstairs while Elena and Stefan were downstairs. I was hungry, so I decided to go downstairs, still limping and I see a bunch of guys pointing guns at Stefan and Elena.
"Ash, don't move." Stefan tells me.
"Take them 2 and put them in cages, she'll come with me." The pastor looks at Elena.
"I'm not a vampire, I swear!" I say, scared, but they take me and Stefan first anyways.
—
I wake up and see Elena, Rebekah, and Stefan. My cell was next to Rebekah, sadly.
"I thought I killed you." Rebekah says. "And why are you down here? You aren't a vampire."
"They think I am and Elena's in transition." I say.
"Ah. What a shame. Has anyone done the math, or shall I? I'd say you've got less than three hours to feed before I get to watch you die all over again. My day just got a whole lot better." Rebekah says
"How's your ankle feeling?" Stefan asks.
"It still hurts, worse than yesterday. Don't worry about me, Elena looks horrible." I mention as she can barely keep her eyes awake.
"What's happening?" Stefan asks, not being able to see Elena.
"I'm out of time. I need blood. I'm dying." Elena says and I see Stefan getting ready to do something.
"Hey!" Stefan shouts. "Anyone! Hey!"
"Will you shut up?" Rebekah asks.
"You think we're afraid of you?" Stefan yells, talking about the guards.

"I am." I mumble, as the both of them are vampires and I can't heal quickly at all.
"You want more vervain?" The guard comes down. "Keep it down."
"Listen to me. Elena's going to die if you don't let her out of here." Stefan points out.
"Sorry. Not my problem."
"She's innocent, they both are innocent." Stefan looks at me. "Let them out." Stefan says and the guard looks at me.
I was mad that he wouldn't even listen. My eyes turn the blue/amber yellow uncontrollably, which makes the guard shoot me in the stomach, i grunt in pain and the guard leaves.
"This is worse than getting punched in the stomach." I say in pain.
"Wrap your sweatshirt around you." Stefan suggests.
"That won't work. And I'm not wearing a sweatshirt." I reply.
"Here." Rebekah says giving me her sweater type jacket, i furrow my eyes, but not gonna ask why she's being nice. I take the sweatshirt to put pressure on the wound.
—
It's been a while and I've been gazing off. I'm bleeding out, again. Stefan and Elena have been talking to each other.
"Can't you fight through the bad parts of being a huntress?" Rebekah asks. "I remember Nik telling me you could."
"Not when it's this bad. I'm so tired." I say as my eyes start to close.
"Ashley." Rebekah shouts slightly, which gets Stefan's attention.
"Ashley, Ash!" Stefan shouts which catches my attention. "Ash you have to stay up, ok?" Stefan looks at Rebekah, knowing they have to do something to get Ashley and Elena out.
Minutes later another guard comes down to put more vervain down here.
"Excuse me? Hello, sir?" Rebekah says to grab the guards attention.
"I thought I told you to shut up." The guard comes with a gun in his hand.
"Here's the thing— my family, we— we have money, castles, apartments, jewelry. Just name your price and let me out."
"I'd much rather watch you die." The guard responds to Rebekah. Rebekah runs to the front of her cell, which makes him back up and in reach of Stefan, in which he kills the guard.
"Elena. Elena!" Stefan shouts for her to feed, and she was able to reach the blood, so she's officially a vampire. Elena gets out and runs out.
Stefan and Rebekah get out and break my cell. I couldn't even stand up. "Rebekah I have to—"
"I'm not invited in but I'll get her home somehow. I got her." Rebekah says picking you up and running back to the mansion.
—
I wake up on a couch I've been on already, in the mansion. I look down and see my wound was taped with a cotton bandage, wrapped around a lot of times. It still felt like I was stabbed with a bunch of needles.
I try standing up, but my body was in so much pain I just couldn't.
I heard yelling from another room, and all I wanted to do was go home. I see Klaus, who I thought was dead walk into the room mad. What was weird that he was as confused as me.
"Klaus?" I say furrowing my eyebrows. "Is this a night terror or did the guard kill me—"
"This is very much real, the Bennett witch did I spell to keep me alive." Klaus says which makes me smile. "What happened?" He ask.
"A guard shot me, they were after vampires then my eyes turned the blue and then he shot me. Now I woke up with my stomach wrapped up." I say trying to stand up, but Klaus catches me before I fall.
"I'll bring you home, love.." Klaus says helping me walk to the car and brings me home, helping me get to my bed.

Madness Led by the Hands
‘Great, no… splendid. It was for naught.’ ‘Naught? Depends. If your desire is to send an army of killers our family’s way, yes indeed. If it’s plain survival you seek, then no.’ ‘They don’t coexist?’ ‘What… don’t tell me you’re still all groggy from the fall. Perhaps in novels, but real life is much tougher–––many more times a drag than anyone can possibly imagine. If dusty history is not a reliable teacher for you, then the pandemic surely took that place. At least that one has the advantage you needn’t be literate to savvy how reality always trumps imagination.’ ‘Whatever you say, whatever you say. So… what now?’ ‘Now? Isn’t it obvious? Now we shall survive. And live a good life.’ ‘Ohh… pretty much everything here has something against this little weird wish of ours. Might you consider?’ ‘Then pretty much everything here is a goner.’ ‘Hm, I don’t like the sound of that. Too much trouble, you see. I’d prefer laying low somewhere safe.’ ‘…nobody told you it’s mutually exclusive, no–––or did you forget about that too?’ ‘Fine, then I wish my future enemies all the best.’ ‘They are undeserving of your pity.’ ‘Of course not. That unlucky bunch won’t ever comprehend the reason behind their demise. Just let me smoke in peace and offer my condolence in advance.’ ‘Idem, let me study alchemy, unobstructed by all, if possible. This also includes you. By the way, are you sure you smoke to offer condolences? It seems like an excuse to me.’ ‘I-it is none. Plain truth, you see?’ ‘Seriously, why did I even ask...?’

His days are now filled with magic, fighting weird creatures and even weirder people. Let’s not even mention the comrades he collects along the way, which are more often than not worse than the (numerous) enemies he makes as he bumbles through alternate dimensions. There’s also a disturbing number of laundromats for some reason. Release Schedule: One or two long(2.5k+ words) chapters per week, maybe more depending on real life.

The original version of the first book was published on RR in 2019 and has since seen multiple revisions based on reader feedback with this one as the final and official fourth version before the second book. While the entire series story has undergone major changes in the last year, all books have been planned since the beginning of writing. It is also my second wish to eventually make this story into a webcomic, either by myself or with a team if possible. Thank you for taking this journey with me, and enjoy reading! ( You can alternatively read books in the series as standalone fictions, but they connect to one another though a running theme and mystery that evolves and progresses with the main character. ) Alternate Blurb for the Singularity Cycle series: Essairyn had never felt truly alive on Earth. It felt like something was missing ever since she was born, but even after nearly 20 years of mundane living, she could never pinpoint what this or the emptiness in her heart was. Suddenly, she awakens in a grandiose, primordial forest and encounters mythical creatures beyond her restless imagination in a parallel world called Sol'h'meyr. She befriends, in particular, a sassy fox-spirit named Akari who reincarnated after three millennia. Essairyn is gifted with abnormal magic, and Akari is being chased by those of her dark past. Together, they set out on an adventure in a world more dangerous than its beautiful facade could hide. Finding new friends along a path riddled with tragedy, Essairyn must learn who to trust as deceit and betrayal lie behind kindly faces. Life in this deceptively promising world slowly spirals down a path of no return. This is not a game, but cruel reality. Her simple adventure became the modest beginnings in a chain of disruptions that tore even the dimensional fabric of time and space. No one, not even Essairyn, was who she thought they were. And not even the fickle gods could change the time-worn destiny of the universes... A single promise shook eternity’s existence.

Long Island
Long Island was not the first virtual reality game or to say a VRMMORPG. Not the one which changed the world and became a legend. No, it was made when there were lots (quite a few) of virtual reality games already on the market. Each game had its own unique AI feature, its own unique adventure, promising everyone a chance to become King, if not a God. In such a time Long Island was made. Just a little different, just a little unique. Swamy was starting his own adventure, in life and in game.Note - Thanks @DameCarnelian for the cover. Just so people don't get confused, that ship is not Raka's ship :)
