"Ash, Ashley." Caroline says waking me up from my sleep.
"What, what happened?" I ask.
"It's Elena. She fell and got a slight concussion. She's on the couch now." Caroline says and I go to check on Elena.
"How are you feeling?" I ask and she shrugs. "Same." I lay on the couch with her. "Caroline's making you tea, I'm resting with you."
Elena fell asleep as I just had a million thoughts in my head. Minutes later she wakes up.
"What you dreaming about?" I ask.
"Sophomore year. The bonfire." Elena looks down.
"Oh. 8th grade. Middle school was rough." I say and Elena laughs.
"I string Matt along like I am with Damon and Stefan."
"Well, maybe describe the difference of the two. Seems to help talking about your feelings to get answers, learned that the hard way." I admit.
"Damon, he grew on me when Stefan was barely around. But Stefan, he's always cared about what I wanted, and I met in when I was in a bad place, he saved me— us that night, when I wanted to die he made me feel alive."
"Girl, if you don't pick Stefan I'll punch you and give you another concussion." I joke. "Speaking of Stefan." I say looking at Stefan, which Elena gets up and hugs him.
—
Stefan was making food and Matt was doing whatever in the kitchen.
"Do you need help?" I ask.
"Uh, sure. I don't really know with what, but if you want to help then yeah." Stefan says as I limp to the kitchen.
"How's your ankle?" Stefan asks.
"It still hurts, but at least I can walk. And thank you for before, I really needed it." I say and he smile and nods.

"Stefan." Elena says at the door, and we see Elijah.
"Hello again." Elijah says as i roll my eyes.
—
"All we need is to take that stake away from him. Once he's been disarmed, the weapon's in my possession, my family will scatter to the ends of the earth. And Alaric will follow us." Elijah explains to us.
"And you'll just... run." Stefan asks, suspicious of Elijah's plan.
"My brother and Rebekah spent the better part of a thousand years evading my father. What's another half century whole Elena's able to live out the rest of her natural life?"
"We finally stopped him, Elijah. After everything that he's done to us, I can't just let you bring him back." Elena says, speaking about Klaus which makes me look down.
"I give you my word, Elena. I will not revive Klaus within yours, nor even within your children's lifetimes. Perhaps it'll finally teach him some manners." Elijah says looking at me. "What happened to your ankle?"
"It's nothing. Just a little sprain, or whatever." I responds. "Do you know how many times you've helped us and it went to you siding with the opposite side? You screw us over every single time."
"And for that Ashley, I'm deeply sorry. But know this— Elena could have been dead the instant I walked through that door tonight. So, Elena, I leave it up to you to make the decision whether to trust me or not."
"Not! Hello! Did that concussion give you brain damage?" Damon asks over the phone. "His lunatic siblings will kill you the first chance they get!"
"Rebekah and Kol will honor the terms of you return Klaus' body to us... Elena will come to no harm." Elijah tells us. "Do we have a deal?"

"No!" Damon shouts, again. "No, no, no, no. Did I mention, no!"
"Elena, it's up to you." Stefan says, knowing she's going to trust Elijah either way.
"Oh, come on!" Damon shouts again.
"Why do you want Klaus' body?" Elena asks.
"He's my brother. We remain together." Elijah said, which I thought was sweet.
"We have a deal." Elena responds, in which me and Stefan sigh and Damon hanging up the phone, pissed.
—
"Ash you should get some rest. A lot has happened and it's only going to get hectic from here." Elena suggests, but i shake my head.
"You aren't safe. I want to be with you right now." I say and she smiles.
"How's your ankle?" She asks.
"It's all bruised up, but just a a sprain I'm pretty sure. It hurts a lot though, I can barely walk. So who you picking?" I ask, changing the subject.
"I don't know. I just—" Elena keeps talking, but I didn't hear any of it from falling asleep from stress and exhaustion.
—
I wake up and Elena was gone and there was nobody. I got the feeling, a huntress feeling that something bad happened to her.
I rush to the hospital, and I see Meredith.
"Meredith! What happened?" I ask.
"Her conditions were worse than i let on. Her concussion wouldn't of healed if I didn't give her stuff to help it. She had a major brain bleed that could only be fix with blood." Meredith explains.
"Meredith, don't tell me what I think you're about to tell me." I shout.
"Little Sommers." I hear Damon come behind me.
"What's happening?" I ask.
"Rebekah wanted revenge. She made Matt drive her off the wickery bridge. Stefan saved Matt first, Elena died with vampire blood in her system." Damon explains.
"She's a vampire."
