《The Betrayed Pilot (Titanfall x RWBY)》Chapter 5

I woke up and i immediately shot up from where i was, i tried to reach for where i usually kept my pistol but i regretted my decision as i laid back down as pain shot through out my entire body.
"Ah, your finally awake i see" I got up slowly this time, and i looked around me to see that i appeared to be in a recovery room or something. I also saw that Ozpin was sitting in one of the chairs looking at something on a tablet.
"You didn't do anything funny while i was out" He simply took a sip of his coffee as he continued to look at some sort of recording.
"I won't lie, i did contemplate it, but looking over your fight, if one person with your talents and tools can do this, then i don't want this technology to ever get out in this world." I leaned back into the bed with a satisfied smile on my face.
"Good, looks like were on the same page."
The room started to get quite, and all you could hear was the faint recording of whatever Ozpin was playing on his tablet. Before i could ask what it was he stood up and he put the tablet in front of me.
It was my fight from earlier with all of those other students, and it showed a bar, which i presumed was their aura, on the side of the screen. I watched my battle, and i had to admit at the start i did fight as well as i could considering the situation. But then we got to the part where the one guy took my pendant. I winced at the fact that i let myself go again and i probably shattered his skull, i just hoped that he was okay.
But at the thought of my pendant i immediately shot my hand forward where i usually keep it and i released a breathe i was holding in when i found it on my neck. I then looked over towards Ozpin.
"To be honest, i truly did have my doubts about you, if you were as good as you claimed you were. The test i had set up, not many people could actually handle it, let alone win that fight, just because of the sheer number of people fighting you. But yet you came out on top, and without aura as well. You are very impressive Miss Sarah" I really wanted to slap him for setting the odds against me, but it wasn't the first time that's happened to me, so i just let it go. The good thing is that i passed his test, and i will be safe on this planet for now.
"Although," i look back towards him tiredly, "I do have to ask what was that out burst of yours with that pendant of yours." He rewinded the clip to when i first lost it, and i smashed the kids head into the ground that it cracked the ground. Then he skipped to when i deliberately walked over towards my pendant and i death gripped it before passing out.
"I won't ask the meaning of this, but i do hope that this won't get in the way of you teaching, or will it?" I shake my head.

"It shouldn't get in the way, so long as someone doesn't try to make fun of it, or belittles it, it shouldn't be a problem. And as for the outburst, my pendant is, very, personal to me. All that i will say it's a gift from someone that i deeply cared about." I softly clutched it and i looked at the small piece of silver, it wasn't fancy, it was just a tree. The life tree to be exact, and no matter what i won't loose this pendant.
"Well i'm glad that it won't be a problem, because i wouldn't like for another student to end up in the infirmary as well" I looked towards him curiously.
"Another one?" He offered me a hand up and i took it and i was able to slowly stand up this time.
"Let me show you what you did, but do be careful, while you didn't have any 'major' damage to your body, you did have a few cracked ribs." I nodded to him as he gave me his shoulder to help me stand up. I was still in quite a bit of pain, but i was still in my pilot suit, so i know that my suit will heal up most of the damage, eventually.
After a bit of walking we get to another section of the infirmary, and Ozpin opens the door for me. I walk in to see that a large portion of students that i fought were here with either casts on or IV's. I winced at the fact that i caused so much damage to these people.
They all soon looked at me, most of them didn't recognize me at first, but soon realization fell across most of their faces as they saw my armor. I decided to take the first step into the conversation, especially since Ozpin didn't do anything.
"Hello students, i'm sorry about the painful introduction, especially for some of you," i pointed towards the guy who i slammed his head into the ground, because his entire head was just encased in bandages.
"I had to prove my self to Ozpin here that i belonged here in Beacon," Before i could continue on i was cut off by the girl in red.
"Does that mean your becoming a student? IF THAT'S THE CASE CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT YOUR WEAPONS?!" Her eyes started to glow stars at the thoughts of looking into weapon, but even if her intentions were good, i don't think that was a good idea.
"Sorry, but i won't be joining the student body," they all looked at me confused, but i kept on talking before they could cut me off.
"I will be your new combat teacher." They didn't say anything, but then they all realized what i said and started to scream and asks question. I was thankfully saved by Ozpin who silenced his students.
"Students, please calm down, and let Miss Sarah finish speaking" I quickly thanked Ozpin and faced towards my future students.
"I've see a little bit of how your other combat instructor works, Glynda i think her name was. She has done a great job of teaching you, but you all have much to learn. But before i can do that, i think we all need to heal first." Ozpin gives me a simple nod, and then took over.

"You will all be excused from school work for the rest of the week, but everything will go back to normal next week. Where you will find that Miss Sarah will start to take on responsibilities of Miss Goodwitch." Ozpin then started to lead me back towards the infirmary that i woke up in.
Eventually we walked back into my room, and i just laid down on the bed.
"Thank you Ozpin, for everything." He looked at me, and just gave me a small smile.
"Don't thank me, just make sure that you train my students well. But, i trust that you will be able to do that. So let me give you a small gift ahead of time." I stared at him confused as he placed his hands on my head and i began to feel numb throughout my entire body.
"For it is in passing that we achieve immortality, through this we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all, infinite and distance and unbound by death, I release your soul and by my shoulder protect thee" He took his hand off my head and he limped a bit backwards, but then he stood up straight, and he gave me a warm smile.
"I've unlocked your aura, i was wondering if it would work since your not from here, but it did, granted you have a lot less aura then most people do, but still you have some." It felt weird to have it, it felt like i there was something watching over me. It didn't feel bad, just different.
"Thank you Ozpin." He gave me a nod and he walked out of the infirmary most likely so he could go back to work.
I leaned into my bed and i noticed that my helmet was right next to me, i reached over and put it on.
"Lilith, did i miss anything important?" I waited for her to respond, i feared the worst, but i was too tired to do anything. And most likely she was in low power mode to save energy. So with the helmet on i fell asleep on the bed.
-------------------------
A few more days passed by and with the healing properties of my suit and my recently unlocked aura i was good as new. Sadly though my students were still there healing, but i just ignore that for now. I gathered up all of my things and i went into the hanger that Lilith was at.
When i got to her, i took off the coverings on her, she raised her head a little bit.
"Low...battery...3%" She lowered herself a bit, i rubbed her leg and i told her to shut down for now as i begin to work on bringing her back with some Dust i got. She turned off and i began to gather tools around the place to start working on her.
I wasn't the most knowledgeable about fixing up titans, let alone how to put dust into her. But i did spend some time doing some research into dust and most of it's chemical and physical properties. So i at least somewhat knew where to start.
I began by taking out her batteries, and taking out the entire system, the system was nuclear in a sense, but without the batteries it was safe enough to work in with my suit on. I begin to change the pumps and wiring that was in her to the ones that they used in Remnant. it should roughly work the same, hopefully.
I thought i heard a door close behind me, but i just ignored it as nothing because i locked the door before coming here. I continued to change out more of the components of Lilith, it hurt me that i had to do it to her, but it had to be done. I take out one of them pumps, and i toss it to the ground making a loud bang. Although as soon as i did i heard someone yelp, I jumped off of the position i was in and pulled up my pistol to face whoever was there.
I was bit shocked when i saw that it was Velvet standing there nervously.
"What are you doing here Velvet?" I close up the energy port of Lilith and i take off my helmet so i could look at the rabbit Faunus. She looked extremely shy and started to stutter over her words, but eventually she just muttered to herself.
"I was just finding somewhere quiet to be at" I gave her a polite nod, i could assume that she just liked to find quiet places to avoid people because she was a Faunus.
"Well for the main part, nobody is really allowed in here because of me and Ozpin trying to keep Lilith a secret, but so long as you don't tell anyone your allowed in here. But how did you even get in here?" She pointed towards another door that i didn't see and i face palmed myself for missing that. I'll worry about that latter.
I put on my helmet and start to work on Lilith's reactor again, but i stop again to turn back towards Velvet.
"Just make sure you are a little bit away from me when I'm working on Lilith for now, i don't want you to get radiation poisoning from Lilith's core." She just looked at me confused, but she still took a timid step backwards.
"Good girl, radiation just so you know is a fuel source that i use for Lilith, but because you people use dust i have to switch her nuclear core for one that is able to use dust for now." She nodded like she understood it, and she looked like she did. I quietly went back to work and she just went into a corner of a the quiet hanger and started reading. I smiled at the girl and got back to work.
A/N - pretty noneventful chapter, may be kinda boring, but these things have to be done, i can't have fighting every chapter, that would just be boring. Anyways i hope your enjoying this story so far, I'm having a lot of fun writing this one compared to my other stories. The next update should be up by the weekend, I'll see you then weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*slides out of chair*

The King of Desires

All mortals, human, dwarves, elves and the other races living on Escana, they are consigned to live inside that living hell from the moment of their birth. It should be just another unspectacular round of The Reign of Chaos. And yet, in this newest round, appeared a prince who is prophesized to bring about an end to everything. Fearless is his name, a man of many identities. A jokester. A charlatan. A lover. An Ender. HUD: Wargame (Sci-Fi GameLit)
★★★★★UNFRIGGENBELIEVABLE!!!!!! "HUD: Wargame is a sci-fi GameLit worth reading." -TienSwitch ★★★★★Rock-solid FPS GameLit. "Nic - the main character - is an ambitious, hyper-competitive perfectionist, and the story fortunately handles him correctly in that it does not push these traits too far." -Akaso ★★★★★This is a good one! "This is one of those stories where you read the first few paragraphs and can just tell that the author has the chops to tell a story. It's engaging and the rules are well thought out and clearly explained. The action is punchy and exciting. Anyway, read it." -HonourRae In the future, everything is a game. Even war. 18-year-old Nic Sigfried wants the high score. Virtually piloting a real-life robot, he'll face off against his peers with the help of his AI guidance system, RTIFIS. The prize? Ephemeral Cycle
Mature +18[?]------Hiatus notice, I'll be rewriting this story heavily over the coming weeks. It isn't going where I wanted it to, bare with me for awhile. Ideally, a months time, but time will tell.------Andrew Marks, among over a million, 'players,' is forcibly recruited into a game where the reality and fiction interlace. Where the slightest error will spell death. For yourself, for your new found allies, or the world. 'Choices have consequences,' is a lesson the Corporation wishes to remind people. In this new world where many fall each and every day, a man simply tries to avoid it all, yet the world isn't so kind as to let him off so easily.--------Chapters do tend to be on the longer side, well, in comparison to other fictions I've read on this site. Typically anywhere from 2500-4500 words depending on my mood at the time.In addition chapter releases are largely dependent on my mood so it should have at least two chapter released a week, however, I'll be busy for the next bit so it will be subject to change. --------Anyways, please bare in mind this is the first creative writing piece I have created with the exception of a novel I started writing just prior to this one. I'd appreciate any help or guidance you may give me to better my writing. Be it characters, background or setting, I'm quite sure there are a few loopholes. This is intended for a mature audience, viewers discretion is advised. I digress, enjoy, rate, comment, and let me know how it's treating you so far! I'll take any help I can get!
