《RE: VILLAGE》Ch 11

Baelfire ran through the dark forest, scared for his life. He hid his left forearm in his night gown, which was stain by fresh blood. He stopped at a tree and leaned against it, gasping for air.
"Maybe.....I can-" A inhuman roar pierced the night followed by multiple growls and snarls closing in on him. Baelfire looked behind him just as something hit the tree. He looked at the tree and saw a flaming arrow embedded into the tree. Baelfire gasped and started to run away from his unknown attackers.
As he ran, more flaming arrows flew past him either hitting other trees or in the ground. Baelfire heard the snarling and growling start to grow quiet. He started too become hopeful and believed he could find a place to hide for the night till morning.
That was until a flaming arrow pierced his torso making him scream and trip over himself. He hit the ground and began to roll down the hill, hitting trees and rocks. The point of the arrow broke off halfway down, leaving the other half still inside him. He soon came to a stop, rolling on his chest and face in the snow.
"Huh?" He whispered, barley lifting his head up. His vision was hazy but he was able to see a nice small house with it's outside lights on. And a...Waterfall behind it? His eyes began to grow heavy and his vision became blurry. He closed his eyes and opened them, only too see a pair of black dress shoes and a black skirt that nearly touched the owner of the shoes. He slowly looked up to see a figure wearing a black dress and a long mask covering their face. And was holding a white porcelain doll wearing a white dress, looking down at him.

"Help..me...please." He forced out as he reached and grabbed the person's foot. He then blacked out as his face hit the snow.
"AHH!" Baelfire yelled as he awoke, gasping for air. When he calmed down he noticed he wasn't in the snow, but was in a nice small bed in a rather beautiful room. "How did I get here?" He asked himself. The blankets dropped, showing his torso was wrapped in bandages as well as his left arm. He was however wearing his shorts.
"Someone's awaaaaakkkeee!" Baelfire jumped backwards as a porcelain white doll jumped on the bed. It resembled a woman wearing a white dress. It's face was crack down and was devoid of color. Baelfire pressed his back against the head of the bed, terrified of the doll.
"What's wrong? Scared?!" The doll demanded a answer, stepping closer till she stood between his knees.
"Are you scared of her?" Baelfire looked to his left and saw the same woman in the snow sitting on a chair close to the bed, her face still hidden. Baelfire was positive that woman wasn't in the room when he woke up. Before he could muster a response, he was pinched by the doll making him squeak and look at the doll who giggled. "Calm down Angie. He's a guest." The woman said, her voice sounding like a whisper.
"Your from the meeting." He was able to get out, earning glances from Angie and the woman. "That means your a-" he quickly got of the bed, making Angie get trapped in the blanket. "Please forgive me, my Lord!" He voice cracked as he got on his knees and bowed infront of the woman. "I didn't recognize you!" The woman tilted her head.

"You.......ASSHOLE!!" Angie cried, cutting a hole in the blanket. She stopped on the bed, huffing and holding a kitchen knife in her right hand.
"I'M GOING TO-" She stopped when she looked down and noticed Baelfire was still bowing. She noticed how well his muscles were and how big his shoulders were in particular. Angie started chuckling, making the woman look at her.
"Angie what are you-" The woman was cut off as Angie jumped off the bed an landed on Baelfire's back, making him tense up.
"Look how much muscles he has Donna!" Angie said, walking on Baelfire's back. "He must be strong! And there's only one way to make up for disrespecting me, a fellow lord." Baelfire gulped and closed his eyes. He felt her walking up to his neck. He then felt her stop and sit down, her legs hanging down beside his head.
"A PIGGYBACK RIDE!" Angie shouted, making Donna flinch from the outburst.
"What...my Lady?" Baelfire asked, confused in so many ways. He was injured last night, woke up in a bedroom of one of the 4 Lords, and is now being told to give a piggyback ride to a doll that was demanded by said doll.
"Hey! What's the hold up!" Angie asked, pulling on his hair. "You heard me! Giddy up!" Baelfire, being the pour soul he is, stood up. Angie laughed, holding onto his hair. "Now outside, into the snow!" She demanded. Scared for his life, Baelfire didn't ask if he could put on a shirt or pants.
"So, uh, Lady Donna?" Baelfire asked Donna, who sat across from him. After he and Angie got back inside, Angie told him to sit down in the living room.
"How come I never heard of you? I know the other Lords, but I haven't heard of you?" He asks, looking down beside him at Angie, who was sitting right beside him.
"I'm.....New." Donna answered him. "I have only been around for 9 years." She said. Baelfire nodded. Out of all the Lords, Donna was the kindest to him so far. She never demanded anything, except Angie. Angie was nice, in her own way.
"Who's that?" Baelfire asked, pointing to a small picture above the fire place. The picture had two children in it. A girl and a boy, but the boys face was scratched out. Donna notice this.
"That's me and my old friend." Donna said. "He was the only kid that was nice to me. He and my father are the ones who made me Angie." Donna stood up and walked to the picture. "He left one day and I haven't seen him sense." Even if he couldn't see through the veil covering her face, he could tell she was going to cry.
"Okay, I get to ask a question!" Angie said, tilting her head up to Baelfire.
"How did you get that bite mark?"

Ortus (Old Version)
This is an old version of the heavily edited and rewritten Ortus This is the story of a woman named Riza. Riza is a woman who wakes up in a forest with nothing, remembering nothing, and on the cusp of death. The only thing she has is a weapon stuck in her side and, after a tangle with a wild boar, something called 'life aspect'. Little does she know that life magic is considered a dead-end branch and is largely outlawed across the world. None of this matters to her, of course. For one, even if someone tried to tell her, she doesn't know the language. Number two, have you heard about the sunk cost fallacy? Riza is not some chosen one, nor is given any boon she doesn't deserve. Instead, she's smart and methodical, and experiements on how to maximise every opportunity, every ability, presented to her. She doesn't just take things at face-value but instead explores just what limitations there are. This often involves maths.

Like tragedy, with a twist of Comedy, and a touch of Badassery Apart from that, The story starts off terribly, but I promise it will get better... (since I started getting better at writing)
