"What......what happened?" Baelfire groaned as he opened his eyes. He couldn't see through the metal that went around his head. He felt like he was being dragged against stone of some sort.

"About time you returned." The familiar voice of Lady Dimitrescu entered his ears. "Who are you dragging along with you?" She asked. Whatever was dragging him stopped. A hand grabbed the back of his neck and lifted him up onto his knees.

"I found a nice young man." Came the voice of the mysterious woman. "Why don't we have a look?" She said. The metal around Baelfire came apart, falling off in pieces. Baelfire landed face first on the stone floor. Footsteps of the mysterious woman faded away.

Baelfire groaned as he pushed himself to his knees. He looked up and fell on his rear end.

Their sat Lady Dimitrescu and the other lords. But what shocked him the most was there, sitting at the head of the group was Mother Miranda.

"Mother Miranda!" He yelled, bowing and faced the ground. He did not deserve to be in her presence. He was just a peasant. "Please forgive me!"

"Baelfire?!" Lady Dimitrescu asked, getting up to her feet. "What are you doing here?!" She demanded. The other lords looked at her.

"Forgive me, Mistress! I noticed you left your flower on your night stand and I wished to return it too you!" Baelfire told her, reaching into his jacket and pulled out the flower. The mysterious woman chuckled at this.

"Well, looks like this is your new Boy toy." The woman said, laughing her head off. "It seems your into young ones now!" She snickered. "Mother Miranda, can you believe this?!" She asked, howling in laughter.

"Quiet Heisenberg!" Dimitrescu shouted. Baelfire's eye's widened from that name. Karla Heisenberg, the one he feared the most as a child. The stories said she was a cruel and twisted woman, torturing men and women with monstrous machines.

"In fact, you need to explain yourself."

"About what, dear sister?" She giggled.

"Don't play dumb with me, Karla!" Dimitrescu yelled. "This boy is living proof of your Experiments!" Karla sighed. She stood up and walked over too Baelfire and knelt down beside him.

"Him?" Karla asked, grabbing Baelfire's hair and pulled his head up. "Trust me if I had experimented on him, I wouldn't of let him escape." She said before licking her lips. "I would have screwed him so much, leaving would be the last thing he wanted." She threw Baelfire's head back down and stood up.

"Then explain this." Dimitrescu said. She walked up too Baelfire, grabbed his hand and yanked it up, bringing Baelfire to his feet. She grabbed the bandages and ripped them off, showing the Lords and Mother Miranda his bite mark. Donna, the doll started giggling, the ugly one just puked green vomit and started laughing. Mother Miranda showed no emotion.

"How long did you have this?" Mother Miranda spoke, her voice was calm and soothing to Baelfire.

"For 5 months now, Mother Miranda." He said, bowing his head as he stood up straight. He looked around and noticed a hooded figure standing beside Mother

Miranda and behind Donna.

"What gave you that bite mark?"

"A bat, Mother Miranda." He answered.

"A blonde bat that was bigger than both my hands." Miranda looked at Heisenberg.

"Heisenberg, care for a explanation." Miranda demanded rather than asked. Heisenberg stood back up and walked over too Baelfire once more and grabbed his left hand. She then started to inspect it.

"Ah yes!" Heisenberg said, throwing his hand down and started walking around Baelfire. "He was bitten by an experiment of mine. A bat, as you have heard." She stopped behind Baelfire and rested her head on his shoulder.

"But it's nothing dangerous. You and your daughters can feed off of him." She directed to Dimitrescu, who gritted her teeth. "But what he was infected with is a weapon." Dimitrescu stood up and extended her claws. "Who are you going to kill? Me or him?" Heisenberg questioned with a smile.

"ENOUGH!" Yelled Mother Miranda. What Baelfire thought was a black dress, was actually crow wings. They slit apart, showing her smooth body in a white dress. "Alcina, sit down." Dimitrescu hesitantly sat back down as her claws disappeared back into her fingers. "What kind of weapon?"

"A good one." Heisenberg said, pushing off of Baelfire and walked up too Mother Miranda. "It's harmless as of now and only a prototype. But if I add the right ingredients, you'll have something that can expand your control over the peasants and beyond."

Mother Miranda hummed to herself.

"Which is why you should give the boy to me."

"I object, Mother Miranda!" Dimitrescu yelled, standing up. "Heisenberg is but a child and her loyalty to you is questionable!" She walked infront of Baelfire, blocking off Heisenberg's sight in him. "And Baelfire is tribute. He is my property!" She growled at Heisenberg.

"SILENCE!" Mother Miranda yelled again. Everyone was quiet, not daring to speak a word. "Alcina will keep the boy. Heisenberg, you will only visit when I say you can. And if you wish to experiment on him, you can only do so when I am supervising you. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes Mother Miranda." Dimitrescu and Heisenberg answered, bowing their heads.

"Dismissed." Mother Miranda said. Baelfire witnessed the unbelievable happen. Miranda stood up and was surrounded by a Murder of crows. The crowd flew around her before they stopped, leaving an empty space where she stood originally.

"Mistress, I'm sorry that I interrupted your meeting." Baelfire spoke. They were in the common room of the castle. Lady Dimitrescu sat on a chair infront of the fire place, smoking a pipe. Baelfire stood beside her, ashamed for what he has done.

"Its not your fault Baelfire." She said, blowing some smoke in the air. Baelfire sighed. He looked around the room till he saw a fly buzzing around. "Daniela, stop hiding." Soon Daniela appeared in a swarm of insects. She smiled proudly as she walked past Baelfire, gazing his shoulder and making him tense. She now stood infront of Lady Dimitrescu.

"Yes mother?" Daniela asked. "What is it you need me for?"

"Prepare the carriage. I'm going out for a walk."
