《Crossroads (Lesbian Stories)(gxg)》Chapter 32: Forgetting Her

When you think of a first date, you're usually going out to the movies or going out to dinner.
Sophia had other ideas.
We were at a beach and she had brought her dogs along with her.
Best. Date Ever.
We were playing with the dogs and enjoying the time we spent together.
After an hour of playing with her dogs, we took some down time and laid on our towels for awhile.
"So what school do you go to?" Sophia asked while laying on the towel and looking at the sky.
"Georgetown."
Sophia sat up and took off her sunglasses. "No way, me too!"
"Really? I never see you around school!"
"Well I'm a sophomore and I leave right after school cause I volunteer at this animal shelter." Sophia explained.
"Oh that explains it, I wouldn't have missed such a pretty face like yours."
Sophia blushed and looked down. She was cute. Very cute. Maybe cuter than Christy if I got to know her better.
"I'm a junior. Do you do any school activities?"
"Nah not really. I'm not really school spirited." Sophia said with a small laugh. "How about you?"
"I play basketball and soccer for the school."
"Well that explains your hot body." Sophia blurted out. She stared at me and then realized what she said and started turning red. "Oh shit that's not what I meant I-"
I laughed at her comment. "No worries Sophia. I know what you meant. I'll gladly take the compliment."
"Honestly when I saw you I didn't think you were gay. You're like too gorgeous to be gay." Sophia said with a giggle.
"Well, I actually don't know if I'm gay." I said in a slightly panicked tone.
Sophia's face suddenly dropped. "Oh you don't know? Well this is awkward."
"I'm still interested in you though. It doesn't change anything that this is our first date." I said reassuringly.
"Okay but what if you decide later that you don't like girls? I don't just want to be an experiment to you."
"I can't promise that that'll happen though. Could you just give me a chance, Sophia?"
There was a silence for a moment as Sophia thought about what I said. "Give me some time and I'll get back to you about it. However we are finishing this date." She said with a smile.
S
phia had the softest smile ever. It was like a little smile but it was probably the cutest smile ever.

"Well come on now, let's get something to eat then. Dane! Bex! Come on let's go!"
The dogs sprinted over next to us, well Dane got here quickly but Bex, the chubby little corgi, took a little longer because of his shorter legs.
Sophia put the leases on them and then handed me Dane's leash and we started walking toward the hub, where all the restaurants were along the beach.
"Dane is an extremely energetic dog huh?" I said while slightly pulling his lease back since he was trying to run away.
"Yep, he's just full of energy. At the end of the day, Dane will crash out and there is no way you can wake that dog up. It's worse when he falls asleep on my bed.
"I can imagine. Plus he's bigger than you too so he'll take up the whole bed." I said with a laugh.
"Dane is NOT bigger than me." Sophia snapped back.
"You sure you're even bigger than Bex? You're very small." I teased.
Sophia's jaw dropped as she shoved me playfully. "Natalie I'm like less than two inches shorter than you."
I stopped walking and stepped close to her so that our face was nearly touching. Our height difference looked to be about 3 inches.
"Okay well maybe 3..." Sophia said in defeat.
I smiled at my victory and we kept walking.
"I may be small but I'll still beat your ass." Sophia said playfully.
"You already have your step stool ready?"
Sophia then lunged on me and next thing I know, she was on top of me.
"Did I need a step stool?" She said as she had my arms pinned down and she smirked.
I tried to push her off but damn was this girl strong.
"Okay okay! I won't tease you for being short anymore." I groaned in defeat.
Sophia smirked at me as she got off me. "Don't mess with me. I'm small but I got a whole lot in me, ain't that right Dane?"
Dane barked happily in response and I rolled my eyes at her. This girl was just something else. I totally digged it though.
We ended up eating at this small Italian shop. The food was so good and we were stuffed with bread sticks, pasta, and lasagna.
"I"m stuffed." Sophia said as she leaned back on her chair.
"Your hair is such a unique shade of brown, did you dye it?" I blurt out.

"Damn you always checking me out." Sophia said with a smirk. "Yes I did, I kind of messed up but it ended up being alright."
"It looks really good. It suits you."
"Aw thanks. Your hair is really nice too."
When the bill came, Sophia and I both reached for it and we each had a hand placed on top of the bill.
"Sophia."
"Natalie."
"Let go of the bill." I said as I pulled it toward me.
"No you let go." Sophia responded as she pulled it toward me.
"I asked you out."
"Okay so?"
"Let me pay." I groaned.
"No come on, it's nothing."
"Let me pay as a way of apologizing for tackling me earlier."
"You brought that onto yourself." Sophia said with a chuckle.
"Wait dude what's that?" I said as I pointed to the wall behind her.
She turned her head and I quickly swiped the bill and placed my debit card and handed it off to a waiter who was passing by.
"What are you referring to-"
Sophia then shot me the nastiest death glare that caused me to shift uncomfortably in my seat. Damn was this girl intimidating.
"You're going to pay for that."
"I believe I already did." I said teasingly.
"Next time, I'll beat you to it." She said as she crossed her arms and looked away.
"Already going to be a next time? I'm winning you over that much?"
Sophia realized she slipped up and turned a shade of red. That was probably so adorable. She was super intimating and mean looking but then again she was so sweet and cute.
"Whatever Natalie."
We left the restaurant and untied her dogs from the pole. They were super excited to see us since they kept moving around while we tried to untie the leashes from the pole.
"Let me give you a ride home." I told her after we finished untying the dogs.
"That'd be lovely. Thank you."
We walked back toward the beach and then into the parking lot. When Sophia saw my car, her jaw dropped.
"You have a range rover?!"
"My 16th birthday present. I'm spoiled I know." I said slightly embarrassed.
"Nah I can see why your parents got it, a kick ass girl has to have a kick ass car."
Now it was my turn to blush. I didn't know Sophia saw me like that. I just walked over and opened the back door for the car and Dane hopped in and I had to carry Bex into the car. Then I opened the door for Sophia which I was awarded for by her soft, sweet smile.
I walked to the drivers side and when I turned the keys, Bryson Tiller started blasting through the speakers. I quickly fumbled with the speakers trying to turn off the music.
"Bryson Tiller? Man you're cute and have good music taste? I scored a big you."
I smiled like an idiot when she said that. She proceeded to flip on the speakers and the music blasted through the speakers again.
I asked her where she lived and then drove off while we sang to Bryson Tiller.
"THIS IS WHAT HAPPEN WHEN I THINK BOUT YOU." I sang while dancing and driving at the same time.
"I GET IN MY FEELINGS, YEAH I START REMINISCING" Sophia sang back.
"YEAH NEXT TIME 'ROUND, FUCK I WANT IT TO BE DIFFERENT"
"YEAH WAITING ON A SIGN."
"GUESS IT'S TIME FOR A DIFFERENT PRAYER."
"LORDDDDD PLEASE SAAAAVEEEE HER FOR ME, DO THIS ONE FAVORRRR FOR ME." We sang at the same time.
The dogs in the back barked happily and I rolled down the windows and they stuck their heads out the window while sticking out their tongues.
We probably sang half of Bryson Tiller's album on the way to her house, I purposely took the long way to her house so I could spend more time with Sophia and it was worth it. When I pulled up in her driveway, I got out of the car to help her with her dogs. Then I walked her to her front door.
"I had a great time, Natalie. Thank you for taking me out." Sophia said as she looked up at me.
"It was my pleasure. Give me a call alright?" I said with a smile before walking away.
"Natalie wait!"
I turned around and Sophia stepped closer toward me. She leaned in and pressed her lips against mine. Our lips started to move in sync when Dane barked loudly, causing us to both jump away from each other.
"God Dane way to cock-block." I groaned.
Sophia giggled and then wrapped her arms around my neck before pressing her lips against mine for a brief moment. "Call me?" I noticed she was on her tip toes in order for her to do that.
"Yes of course."
She gave me a warm smile before walking into her house with her dogs.

Artemis
"Let them go, Dante." I whip my head to see a small boy standing the clearing with blonde hair and a green cloak hanging from shoulders. He isn't very tall however he holds his stance well. He doesn't seem to be more than Cassandra's age. Maybe 12 at most. I abruptly turn my head back hearing the man holding a sword to my throat chuckling with a sinister grin. "Oh, poor boy, what are you go to do about it?" The yellow teeth gleam as he begins stalking towards the boy who does not look the least bit fazed. I look around at the other men who are following the leader. I pull Cassandra tighter to my back as I take small steps back. I keep my eye trained on the men but also fear for the naive boy. "Do you really want to test me Dante?" He asks raising a single eyebrow. For a minute the men stop their movements. I see their hesitation for fear... Fear of what? I take the moment to stick Cassandra behind a nearby tree. She crouches down while I pull my sword out from its place. "How do you know my name?" The scoundrel raises his sword challenging towards the boy before taking a final step towards him. Then the unexpected happens. The young boy chuckles so darkly. It sounded almost... demonic. All the men instinctively raise their swords. "Oh Dante, I didn't know your name... but you know someone dear to me." "Spit it out boy!" The once grinning man is now looking around frantically. I continue my eyes scanning the small boy. He looks directly me and gives me a small nod before saying one word that caused all hell to breaks loose. "Artemis." Artemis is not an ordinary girl. She grew up in the wilderness after being shunned due to unique abilities and her different physical attributes. Blessed with an ability that scared others, she roams the wild with only her guarded one. That is until she stumbles into a situation that brings her in front of a prince.
