Christy's POV

"Are you sure that you absolutely have to go to the doctor's today? You can't make another appointment?" Kayla said as she pouted her lips slightly.

"Yeah I'm sorry babe I totally forgot about this dentist appointment. But believe me babe, if I could go to your game I totally would." I said while grabbing her hand and began walking her to class.

"It won't be the same without my girl cheering me on in the stands. I mean I probably won't play as well cause I don't got anyone to impress." She pulled me closer and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Just pretend I'm there, you could visit me after your game too. So you'll get a reward from me if you do well." I whispered into her ear.

She suddenly got really excited. "I'm going to score a hat trick just watch babe!"

"Okay don't get too cocky on me now."

"Oh but you love it as much as you hate it cause it's me."

I rolled my eyes because it was true. I hated cockiness in other people but when Kayla did it to me it was just so damn attractive. How her eyebrow goes up a little and that little devilish smirk of hers drove me crazy. I looked at her and really took it in. We've been together for about 3 months now, which is about like 8 months in lesbian years.

But truth be told I was head over heels for her and I hope she's head over heels for me also. I loved everything about her, even the fact that she would bite her nails and take up 3/4 of the bed whenever I slept over. The best part was she got along with my friends and family.

Steph used to play soccer in high school and so did Katelyn so they bond over that and when they come over, they just play FIFA. There was a day where I invited Kayla to come over so we could watch Netflix and chill but no, they played FIFA the entire 3 hours she was there. At she she let me lay on her lap for a bit but once she started losing, she told me to get off.

I looked at her now and she was wearing a maroon skirt with a dressy top. She always liked to dress up for the games and she never failed to look good. Me on the other hand, I was wearing a black baseball jersey with black ripped jeans and a white v neck. I was wearing a dog tag and a gold watch. Damn we were literally the complete opposites. Guess opposites do attract.

We reached her classroom and I gave her a kiss and said bye before leaving for my next class. Suddenly I saw Natalie in the hallway. She was one of my basketball teammates but she also played soccer with Kayla and she was helping me out with my plan to ask Kayla to the dance. So basically boat dance is a dance on a boat, yeah kind of self explanatory but we get to go out on a ship in the middle of San Francisco Bay at night under the Golden Gate Bridge and overlooking the city and it was a pretty great dance. I was going to surprise her at her soccer game today. I had it all planned out and even had some of the soccer girls help me after the game, Natalie being my most reliable one.

"Hey! Here are my car keys so you drive off and go buy the stuff." She said as she handed me her keys. "Take care of my car, it's my baby."

"Don't worry I won't get a mark on her."

"You better not."

"Okay so after the game you and Parker are going to be hiding out with me in behind your car. We'll surprise her afterward in the parking lot because she thinks that I won't be able to go to the game today. Then I'll show up with Chipotle, roses, and that poster." I said in a quiet voice.

"Yes sounds perfect! Parker even said she'd help record which is great. Oh my god I can't wait. You guys are such a cute couple I wish I had a boy to treat me the way you guys treat me." She said with a hint of jealously.

"You'll find your person Natalie. And when you do, we can go on double dates with your bae and Kayla and I." I said while patting her back.

"Definitely. Hopefully we'll be the power couple like you and Kayla. Honestly it's so cute. You're a brunette and she's a blonde. She's tall and you're short. Freakin' goals dude"

I laughed as the bell rang. "I'll see you later, see you Nat. Thanks again!

I was in class, but I couldn't concentrate because I was focused on thinking of a cute saying to say on the poster for Kayla when I got it. When the bell rang, I rushed out of the school and hopped into Natalie's car. It kind of sucked since I rarely got to use the car anymore since Steph and Maddie need it all the time but it's alright since Kayla drives me around sometimes.

I rushed back home and pull out the poster paper I bought a few days earlier. I started painting the words and drawing little pictures the match it. The whole thing took about an hour to do and it was about 4:30 and I left the house to stop by the florist. I then picked up a dozen roses and left it in the back along with the poster. Then I drove to the nearest Chipotle and ordered Kayla's order. I stopped by the Walgreen's next door and picked up some of her favorite candies and headed back to the car to drive back to school. It was 4:50 so I had just enough time to go back to school.

I pulled into the student parking lot and Natalie just texted me telling me that the game just ended and they were on their way to the parking lot. I spotted Kayla's car parked near the school and I parked the car pretty close to the exit so she had no chance of seeing me if she does come out early.

Parker and Natalie got into the car and saw all the stuff I bought for her.

"Damn you doing all this just to ask Kayla to boat dance? You are the definition of goals." Parker said as she looked through the stuff.

"Oh my god look at this poster Nat! 'I'm going to slide into your pre game celebration and I wanted to let you know of my goal. Kayla, come kick it with me at boat?' Isn't that so cute?"

"Amazing. Let's just sit here until we see her come out."

We waited and waited and I started to get worried if something happened to Kayla.

"Do you think she's okay? Maybe something happened and one of you guys should look for her." I spit out nervously.

"C, relax. I'm sure she just stayed behind to talk to coach or just forgot something and had to turn around and get it."

I nodded as I sat in the seat waiting for her.

She came out into the parking lot with a huge smile on her face. Natalie motioned for us to walk out of the car and hide behind the car until Kayla got close enough.

Suddenly I noticed that Jesse following her closely.

"Come get your fine ass back here!" Jesse yelled as he wrapped his arm around Kayla's waist.

"Jesse! Stop it! Someone might see us." Kayla said while looking around and we all ducked under the cars.

"There's no one here babe. Plus that girlfriend of yours isn't here so why don't we go to my place and have another round of what we did last week." Jesse said while kissing Kayla on the lips.

My heart literally dropped into my stomach. Tears started filling my eyes and I didn't know what to do.

"Get in the car. Parker get her in the car." Natalie whispered as she got into the driver's seat.

"Come on Christy." Parker said as she helped me into the car. She shut the door quietly as Natalie started the car and drove out of the parking lot.

"What did I do wrong?? Was I missing something? Did I give her too much? Too little?" I screamed.

"You didn't do anything wrong. Kayla is just a fucking dumbass." Natalie grunted as she gripped her steering wheel.

I was crying uncontrollably now and Parker wrapped her arm around me, holding me. Natalie drove me home and told me to leave all the stuff in her car. They walked me up to my house and opened the door for me. Steph and Maddie were home on their phones but when they saw me they put down their phones and rushed to the door.

"What happened?" They said simultaneously.

"Kayla cheated on me with Jesse."

"She WHAT?!" Steph screamed.

"I'm going to fucking kick her ass." Maddie said as she led me to the couch.

"Thank you guys for taking her home. I'm very grateful for you Natalie and-"

"Parker."

"Thank you guys, you guys are definitely true friends. But right now I think Christy needs to be with her family. If she needs you, I'll give you guys a call okay?" Steph led them out after that and sat down next to me and wrapped her arms around me.

"No one fucks with my sister. How could that bitch do that to you?" Steph said as held me close to her.

After crying out my eyes with Steph and Maddie comforting me, I simply could not cry anymore. I sat there and I felt empty. Betrayed. Broken. Jesus Christ, I gave her my fucking heart and she didn't want it. Instead she decided to go behind my back and rip it out. It would've been easier if she just chose Jesse in the first place.

"I hate her how could she do that to me?"

"How could who do what?" Katelyn said and she entered.

"That fucking whore cheated on Christy." Maddie snapped.

"Are you serious? What the fuck? I'll beat her ass for hurting my little sister!" I smiled at the comment. Even though Katelyn wasn't my sister, she acted as if I was because that's how close we've gotten because of her relationship with Steph.

"You should go to sleep and then we'll deal with this shit later." Katelyn suggested as she sat down next to me.

"Okay. Thank you guys for being here for me."

"We'll always be here for you." Maddie said as she patted me on the back.

I went to my room and took off my clothes and laid in bed and attempted to fall asleep. Except I couldn't. Every time I closed my eyes I saw Jesse kissing Kayla.
