《Crossroads (Lesbian Stories)(gxg)》Chapter 3: My hero, and my girl

Christy POV
The buzzer for the end of the game sounded as I got up from the beach to high-five the other team. I only played 2 quarters today since we built a lead early and the coach wanted to rest me for the next game but that didn't stop me from dropping 25 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks to beat our opponents 55-21.
I looked into the stands and saw my friends coming off the bench to congratulate me. After taking a few photos and unexpected guest emerged from the shadows and walked up toward me. It was Kayla. She held a poster that said "Our hero is #11."
She walked up toward me and hugged me. "You did great today," she whispered in my ear.
I was surprised at her gesture and awkwardly hugged her back. "Ummm thanks Kayla." I mumbled as my confused friends looked us on.
"Can we take a picture?" She asked while breaking away from the hug.
"Uh sure I guess."
Kayla proceeded to hand her phone to one of my friends gesturing to take a picture for us. She motioned for me to hold one end of the poster while I held the other. Her arm snaked around my waist and pulled me closer to her.
I was really weirded out and confused on why Kayla was acting this way but I shrugged it off. She was probably being friendly. Besides, there were rumors she was hooking up with the boy's soccer captain and they seemed like a good fit.
I flashed a small smile as my friend snapped the picture. Kayla ran up to look at the picture and frowned slightly.
"Can you look happier in the photo? You look like you're not happy at all." Kayla said while getting ready to take a second photo. This time I flashed a slightly bigger smile. Kayla checked out the photo and seem satisfied with it. She said her goodbye mentioning her having to be somewhere soon and gave me a hug and went her way.
"Ooooooh Kayla is trying to get into your pants," my friend Ava teased while giving me a playful push.
"Not even man. Haven't you heard the rumors of her and Jesse hooking up? The two soccer captains. Doesn't that sound like a better match than me and her?"
Ava just shook her head while we walked out into the student parking lot.
"She could get anyone she wants, why would she want me?"
"Because you're you. Duh. Girls are always basically head over heals for you." Ava stated.

I shook my head as we got into the car and started driving away from school.
Kayla POV
I tried making it clear to Christy that I was somewhat interested in her by going to her game and making her a poster but it didn't seem to work. I felt that Christy thought it was a friendly move since I did promise I was going to go to her game although she looked quite surprised when she saw me walking toward her.
She did great. She looked unbelievably hot dribbling the ball up and down the court shooting over girls who were probably twice her height and size. Christy was a little ball of muscle who could make her way around everything.
After I said goodbye to Christy I started heading out but not before stopping by my locker to pick up some books.
I heard a voice echoing through the halls and it sounded a lot like one of the friends of Christy who watched and came up to pick up Christy after the game.
"Ooooo Kayla is trying to get in your pants!" A voice said.
I was shocked by this completely false statement. I didn't just want to get in her pants. Well maybe I did but I also wanted to get to know her and maybe take her out on a date or two.
"Not even man. Haven't you heard the rumors of her and Jesse hooking up? The two soccer captains. Doesn't that sound like a better match than me and her? Christy said.
It came out of Christy's mouth. She heard the rumors. I'm sure everyone had but no everyone believed them. They were true though. Jesse and I were basically friends with benefits until I caught feelings and that's when everything fell apart. I mean I guess I still had a little bit of feelings for him but I was more interested in Christy.
I felt the tears starting to spill out of my eyes. I took a sharp intake of air and tried to hold it in.
This made one thing clear: I had to prove to Christy that I was interested in her, and only her.
The next day I tried to dress up for her. I decided to for a more girly look and wore a beige cardigan sweater with a white t shirt under with light blue jeans and black combat boots. I decided to wear a maroon scarf to throw everything together and I put my hair into a bun. I looked at the mirror and decided I looked good. My outfit was cute and I had light but natural looking make up on me. I walked out of the house and got a ride from my best friend Ashley. I would get my car back tonight and I cannot wait.

The periods dragged by until 4th period came along. Christy was already sitting in her seat and I was on her phone. I decided to walk over to her and make her notice me myself.
"Hi Christy!" I said cheerfully while flashing a cheeky smile.
"Hey Kayla." Christy said without looking up from her phone.
I frowned. "So what do you think of my outfit today? Someone said it looked weird." I said attempting to get her to look at me.
She looked up and looked me up and down with an eyebrow raised and then made eye contact with me and she put her phone on the table.
"Your outfit is cute."
I decided to accept the small victory and smiled at her.
"Thanks. When's your next game?"
"Friday at school."
"I'll be there! How about we grab some dinner after the game?"
"Sure why not."
Then the bell rang and ended our conversation. I silently cursed the mere 5 minutes we had for passing period and took my seat while Mr. Curtin blabbed on about electron configuration.
The day flew by without Christy and I speaking. She had practice after school and I needed to head to the shop to pick up my car. My car was my baby. It was a 2013 blue and black Ford Mustang. I got it for my 16th birthday and I took care of it better than I took care of myself.
The Friday flew by also. There was an assembly about being drug free and being "above the influence" so it shortened our classes a little. Everyone was hyped up for the game. The girls on the team were wearing their jerseys and I noticed a few girls on the team who had girlfriends (yes those types of girlfriends) gave their jerseys to their girlfriends wear. A spark of jealousy ignited within me and I wished I was wearing Christy's jersey and proudly sporting her #11 even though it was probably a bit small for me due to me being a good 4 inches taller than Christy.
As everyone predicted, the rebels had won and Christy did another phenomenal job; scoring 25 points in 2 and a half quarters while sitting out one and a half quarters to rest up for the championship game which was exactly a week away.
This time I made her a poster once again but with a more suggestive tone that I was interested in her. It read "No one can stop my girl #11". She seemed shocked and turned a bit read and I smiled proudly at my victory. I saw two older girls standing next to Christy and they closely resembled her. A 5'5 girl with blonde hair who looked to be about 20 and a girl about 5'4 with dirty blonde hair and looked to be about 17 which I assumed to be her older sisters. But I was wondering where her parents were. This was a playoff game but they'll probably come during the championship game next week.
I asked the taller girl to help us take a picture with the poster and she did. Although both of them seemed to be up to something because they had smirks on their faces and Christy was obviously turning red.
The taller girl spoke up. "Okay I'm going to take Maddie to hockey practice. You better be home by 11 or I'm kicking your ass. Have fun with your little friend." She seemed to say the 'friend' part sarcastically and I smiled at that since it made Christy a bit red.
"Okay bye Steph."
So that's their names. Steph and Maddie.
"Your sisters?" I asked as we walked toward the student parking lot.
She nodded her head and she opened the door for me.
"They both have somewhat blonde hair but why do you have brown hair?" I asked jokingly.
"Shut up both my parents had blonde hair gene with a brown hair gene and that's why Maddie has dirty blonde hair. I just ended up getting both of the brown hair genes and here I am having brown hair."
I laughed. It was cute though. I feel like her brown hair suits her a lot better than if she had blonde hair.
I unlocked the car and Christy's eyes widened in surprise.
"This is your car?!" She exclaimed.
"Yep it's my baby."
"It's amazing man!" She said while she hopped in.
"So where are we gonna eat? I'm starving I can eat anything!"
"Anything?" I replied in a seductive tone while wiggling my eyebrows at her and giving her a smirk.
"Oh don't get your hopes up Owens. Besides, I can't eat pussy on an empty stomach, I have to have energy for it because I do it all night long." Christy stated with a sarcastic tone in the last part.
I just laughed at her comment but couldn't help but feel a bit turned on by what she said. I shook my head with a smile on my face and started to drive to the diner.
