It's tough not to fall apart,

After hearing news that's devastating.

It's difficult to keep a happy face,

Knowing the worst can happen.

I tried not to take it to heart,

But all I got was stabbed.

Keeping the pain off my face,

To show everyone everything's okay.

My thoughts quickly turned into pep-talks,

Trying to make myself believe.

That hope can still possibly exist,

But that is slowly dwindling every day.

But for now I breathe,

Keeping my projection forward,

As to not break around anyone,

Because it's better for all.
