Dragging her body out of bed,

She never says a word,

For the entirety of the morning.

She walks around forcing a smile.

Talking and laughing.

Suddenly falls silent.

Just tired, she says.

Hurries home to relax,

Holding her fragile smile.

It cracks and breaks,

Tears threaten to spill.

She can't hold it in anymore.

Just tired, she says,

With a defeated voice.

And they believe her.

In bed the tears fall,

I'm just tired, she says.

I want to sleep forever.
