The lamp flickered,

Casting an eerie glow.

A girl lies in her bed.

Wondering when her time will come.

The shadows bathe the walls,

Waiting with no remorse.

Before long,

The air grows chilled.

The girl looks expectantly to the door,

As if preparing herself.

Suddenly,

A large, cloaked figure glides in.

Stepping closer to the girl,

Whose mouth curved into a smile,

The figure points a single bony, white finger .

Without a second moment,

The girl falls dead.
