《Silent Poetry》Enthralling

Days and nights, I waited

For your smell to intoxicate me,

For your footsteps to bless my ears

For you to smile the way you did

Before we bade goodbye.

And now you stand in front of me

My heart's beating fast, crazy

A sudden rush of the wildest things—

And it's so enthralling to see you again.

Madness, joy, excitement, hate—

All come down, vein by vein,

As I stand here on the frozen ground;

I don't care about the frost anymore.

Your face's pale with a tinge of red—

I don't know whether it's frost or something else,

All I know is it's so enthralling to see you again.

The sweet smell of the pink detergent

From your same old grey cardigan;

My hands brush your blonde curls—

As I stand there, still,

My nose touches yours,

so quickly and briefly.

I haven't cared about the snow till now

Until you pulled apart and smiled briefly,

"I don't think we can do this anymore, anyhow,"

The voice I have longed to hear for months

Now shatters my heart, loosens my bun—

I've lost things I wanted to hold on to;

And the snow comes tighter around my arms.

I stand there all in white—my pink disappeared

In the winter moonlight.

You take a bunch of flowers from

Your little pocket; it's popping up.

And putting them inside my waist pocket,

You step back and stare briefly.

Your hands burn the slow gaze,

Your presence is yet so golden,

And I look up, my cheekbones blue.

I don't say a single word,

I yearn for a little warmth.

The chilly wind through the single crack—

Shivers me a little as we step back and back, until

your back shuts my eyes off.

The grey cardigan,

Slowly disappears like a summer run—

And the tears freeze like little tattoos

On my bony cheekbones.

As I sit on the bathtub—

The hot shower pours and pours,

straining my muscles.

My curls curled up in your thoughts.

I pull the flower, petal by petal,

A drop of blood dripped through my face

As I stand in front of the mirror,

And find you smiling at me—

I lost everything now; all I know is,

It is so enthralling to see you in the foggy mirror,

Yet again.
