You are within and without,

stuck in the middle.

Down,

the reflective water

waves attached with strings

and breeze cold upon your skin

Your fingers

making a tight braid.

In from of a mirror

a lipstick,

a blush

and a case of eyeshades.

And down there,

as far as eye can reach

a human land breached

and You

resting

in one of those buildings slim.

Up,

miles away,

where only lucky did go,

a bit by bit

where people connected constellations

laid a

Universe.

His fingers through his hair,

stardust spread across his shoulders,

and down there as far as eye can reach,

the landscape was not in view,

nor borders

but rather

Him.

But,

You are stuck in between

of pink, violet and blue

colouring the cotton with a blushing hue.

You found your place,

where you could not Swim or Fly,

You Float!

He is so hard trying to cut you out,

and You are so hard trying

to not notice.

He held you like a child holds the balloons:

tightly

then carelessly.

You didn't even felt the scissors,

the pull,

your body among the clouds.

You are stuck in between

for He let you go.

Or was it because of your origin?

For,

your mother was an unfortunate child

and your father, a marching boy-solder.

Always breathing

but never living,

Always living

but never dreaming,

And always dreaming

pointlessly.

Stuck in between of childhood and adulthood,

ripped of innocence,

of playgrounds,

of smiles:

wide open and sunny,

crooked and tight,

eyes crinkling and cheekbones high

Smiles.

Or maybe it was because of that full moon,

that giant eyeball starring back at You,

trying to find any cracks

so its white light could spoil whatever is inside.

Well, good luck with that, you say.

For

You are a crushed mirror,

a broken window.

You are a chip of the wall,

another piece of the lost soul.

You are the craft so clumsily tooled,

so spontaneously glued.

All your skin is cracked open

wider then canyons,

showing the wounds so very deep

invisible under the shirt.

And You are stuck in between,

And there are NO borders,

And there are the feelings like the inside of the box.

So yes,

He can shine all he wants, you say,

For you are already so very tragically hurt.

You are stuck in the middle,

You have not enough air to go up

or enough weight for the Earth,

He made sure of that.

You are forever floating among that hue.

You will never be felt or seen,

For you are there,

up there,

can they not see?

You are stuck in between.
