《Forgotten for a reason》Epilogue

Kota's eyes fluttered opened. He stretched his arms up yawning after his nap. He moved to the side to see eri next to him.
He noticed that she looked very different from before they fell asleep. He also felt different not emotionally, but physically. He looked at his hands to see them much larger than before.
"The hell? Huh my voice?!" He said confused as it got deeper than before. He looked at eri to see her much bigger than before.
"I am.....a grown up?" He said questioning himself. "Kota....quit being so loud. I just want to sleep some more." Eri murmured as he shook awake. "Eri I need you to wake up!" He shouted as she slowly sat up.
"Kota?" She asked staring at him confused. She held her mouth shocked at her voice. Then looked at her hands and body to see herself grown as well.
"Eri, what is going on?" He asked her as he picked up vile he placed down before he slept. "We were only asleep for a couple hours! How are all grown up?!" Eri says very confused.
Kota looked at the hatch through the window to see that they were no longer in U.A. rather they were in a jungle.
"Where are we?" He asked forcing the hatch open that was sealed shut. Stepping out he saw that his cloths were still fitting him. "Looks like miss mei's cloths she made us did grow with us." Eri said picking up a cloak.
"This thing must have an explanation for why everything is like this." Kota said searching around for clues.
He found the note she wrote to them. "This is a time capsule blah blah blah. Ah here it is...you two will be released in ten days to make sure another energy surge won't happen and you won't turn to stone like the rest. Just follow what I told you. There are rations inside, but you two don't need to eat so do what you with them. Along with that there is a terminal that shows you how long you've been inside for." Kota says finishing the note.
Eri found the found the terminal to see it barely functioning along with anything electricity based. "Looks like it almost ran out of power." Eri said pressing a button called charging causing the outside spring with solar panels that were severely damaged. Though a small bit of charging was happening despite their condition.
"Kota, what year was it again?" Eri asked looking at the message for how long they've been asleep for.
"Um....22XX? why?" He asked as she showed him and it shocked him a lot. "W-We've been inside f-for a thousand years!!! The note said ten days!" Kota shouted.
"She was rushing so I think she messed up on the amount of time. She was always a clutz." Eri theorized as she grabbed a bag and filled with supplies along with a paper map of the land. "Seems that nature took back the land." Kota said grabbing his blade and tossing eri hers.
"What's the plan?" She asked "The same one miss mei assigned us. Bring back everyone." Kota said walking out of the shadow to only to start burning up. "KOTA!!!" Eri shouted running to him to see that he wasn't burning anymore.
"It stopped." Kota said as his skin healed over. Eri walked into the sun for it do the same, but soon it stopped burning her as well.

"Looks like we are just like big bro." Kota says as he stares at nearby tree. He walked up and tore off some of the shrubbery. It revealed a statue of the person that made sure they made it.
"Miss mei." Eri said looking at the statue of her. "Should we take her with us?" She asked as kota shook head no. "It'll slow us down and we don't want to break her accidentally. Big bro would throw me off a cliff if she got hurt." Kota said as eri nodded.
They shut and sealed the time capsule placing mei inside just incase of anything. A couple meters to the side of the capsule they found Mr. Yagi. He was encased in a tree so they marked it so they knew where to find him.
"All we need to is find the place the fight happen! Then boom everyone is back!" Kota said as a massive tree was smashed infront of him and eri.
The two looked up to see a massive red fur covered bear. It stood up on it's hind legs towering over the two. It raised it's arms high which revealed the bear had an extra two arms just below the first set.
It was much larger than them their best guess was that it was about thirty feet tall. A four armed red bear was the best description of it. That some how breathed fire.
"Eri." "Kota." The two called each other by their names while wiping off the saliva on off of themselves. They looked at each other and smiled crazily. Then looked at the massive mutated bear.
They shouted at the beast confusing the animal greatly unsheathing their blades they finally could make use of all their training.
"" They shouted as their blades glowed with bright orange and red flames. They slashed at the bear as it swung at them.
The attack landed cleanly cutting through the bear's first set of claws off.
It looked at confused as they kept going.
"" They yelled rotating their entire body forward and cutting deeply into the furry chest.
The bear suddenly fell back as eri and kota went to finish the job only to find the bear covering a trio of cubs behind it.
They sighed and signaled the bear to leave them. It left with it's family the two went back to their mission.
"It also a family it wanted to protect." Eri said as kota nodded. "Lets get back ours."
They climbed up a massive tree to see the landscape. "Wow this place looks nothing like it did before. Musutafu is completely gone." Kota said as eri nodded.
"Hey how old are we?" Eri asked kota. "Well....over a thousand, but it looks like we aged ten years only." Kota said sliding down the tree.
"Then we're around papa's age." Eri says as the two saw a massive bird flying above them.
"Why are the animals so big?" She asked "My best guess that it was quirks since animals can get them like us."
"Like Mr. Nezu?" "Yup!"
They began to travel by foot to the location they wanted to get to. Encountering many strange animals that seem to have been selectively breeding.
It was the survival of the fittest after all though. The two soon realized how crazy a quirk could alter an animal.
What caused that was the fact they saw a massive turtle emerge from the ocean that had life living up top it's shell. It was a moving island. The other cause was when they saw a fire breathing squid which made no sense to the two.

Along with a fish with legs. Not fishy type like legs, THEY WERE HUMAN LEGS!!! It walked around on land like nothing so it could breath air. So eri called them mermans.
Traveling together was a lot of fun for the two as it was great to test their strength against the beasts. It led them to some odd moments just as them meeting a white hair monkey in a hot spring.
Though it was nice experience for two because it was the first time in a weeks being able to clean themselves in hot water. The night ended with kota getting into a fight with the said white haired monkey after getting into an argument about food.
Which eri promptly shut down beating them up and forcing each other to calm down. Then lectured them with a stern voice. 'Why did she learn this from tsu.' "Kota you better be listening." "Yes, ma'am." He muttered.
"Your such a bitch sometimes." He whispered "WHAT WAS THAT?!" She asked him angrily. "Uh...I have an itch?"
"Your sleeping with no blankets."
"You alway take them when we sleep anyway." He said as eri walked walked as the monkey looked at him confused. "Don't look at me like that. When she is mad she is in charge." He explained as the monkey shrugged.
The two have been traveling for a couple weeks. Having lots of fun seeing the new land filled with animals that have surpasses their previous forms from the past.
"Eri, Do you think we surpassed big bro?" Kota asked eri as she made them lunch. "Maybe, but papa seemed to be able to get stronger every time he fought. If papa was with us I think he would be ruling this new land filled with animals. Like his old forest he used to live in." Eri said passing him his plate.
"Mama tsu's recipe is the best." Eri said taking a bite of the her soup. "Yup.....I know we are having fun, but I missed them a lot." Kota said looking down.
"We'll bring them back." Eri reassured him as they ate in peace. "I hope so."
"Also I notice you are acting a lot like papa." Eri says as kota choked on his food. "Uh....well big bro has...always been source of inspiration." Kota said as his face redden "He's mine too along with my mamas." Eri said holding her mask on her lap.
"How much farther?" Eri asked "I don't know, all I know we have get to were gunga city was. That's where the war ended and big bro turned every one to stone." Kota answered as he finished his meal.
Eri gave him a refill as he smiled. He ate it happily as food was a great treat.
Eri smiled as she refilled her bowl. She remembered the times as they all ate as a huge family. She sadden a bit knowing out of all the students and teachers they were all that's left.
"Eri pack up!" Kota shouted at her bringing her out of her head. She soon saw a herd of lions with flaming manes and fur. "Got it!" She shouted packing their supplies.
Kota unsheathed his blade and chopped a nearby tree at the stump. It fell towards the pride so it forced them to scatter. Using the opening kota ran sheathing his blade and picked up eri over his shoulder.
He climbed up a mountain's side avoiding any other animals close by.
Once they got a safe spot and he put eri down. "You know I could have ran by myself. Right?" She said as kota responded "Hey! We are safe now so don't complain."
"Fine....but we both know I am the faster one." Eri said as kota turned his head at her. "Is that a challenge?!" He asked "Maybe."
"FIRST ONE DOWN THE MOUNTAIN WINS!!!" Kota shouted running down mountain and taking a massive leap forward. As he landed he slid down the side. He sprinted the rest down.
"HAHAHA! I WIN!!! I AM THE BEST!!! NO ONE IS BETTER THAN ME!!!" Kota shouted praising himself.
"You done?" Eri asked him as he looked up to see her laying on a branch. She yawned and looked at her wrist as if she was checking a watch. "Took you long enough. I was about to take a nap." She said hopping off the branch.
"H-How?!" He asked confused at the situation. She giggled and booped his nose. "Like I said earlier I am faster than you dummy." Eri said walking away from the stunned kota.
He grumbled "I will win next time." He muttered following after her.
They had officially been out in about for two months since they've awoken. Eri and kota have been fighting the animals that stood in their way as they got closer to their destination.
The closer the they got the more the beasts became more and more bizarre for some reason. "Kota, why does that cat have spider legs on it's back?" She asked kota. "Well that's a new one so I am going call it spider-cat." Kota said writing down his findings and making a quick sketch of the animal.
"Um quirks are bullshit." Kota said answering eri's question "Seems about right." She says petting it as it purred.
Then showed them that it also had four pairs of eyes as well. "This is so interesting." Kota said editing his picture.
Eri climbed a massive tree to see where they stood. "KOTA! WE ARE ALMOST THERE!!!" Eri shouted as he heard from below. He quickly the tree as well next to her to see what she saw.
There stood a massive tree in a small clearing. What told them that it was the place was the massive stone arm of gigantomachia that sticking out the ground. It would seem with time he sank deep into the ground.
"Eri! This is great we are almost done!" Kota said smiling hugging eri tightly. "Soon we can see papa and the rest!" Eri said as they quickly climbed down and began to run towards the site. Passing many statues of people that were covered in moss. The weird part that they were in piles.
Though eri recognized two from the past. One was covered in patches of burnt skin and the other had a gash on his forehead.
She smiled seeing the people that helped her escape from overhaul were well....as well as statue could be.
The two kept running passing stacks of statue people as they ran. "Eri, isn't it odd?" Kota asked as they kept running. "What is?" "The statues and also it's very quiet."
Eri soon caught on as they made it to the rim of a massive forest that made them look like ants.
"Eri....unsheathed your sword." Kota said quietly to her as she did as he said.
From the inside of the forest they saw bright red glowing eyes that stared at them. They stood their ground as it came closer getting revealed by the sunlight.
Before them laid a massive serpent that was pure green with marks all over. The size itself rivaled izuku's serpent form that he transformed into. It wasn't alone as from it's side thousands if snakes hung from the trees. All different sizes and colors.
They prevented them from entering the forest.
"It's ironic that these are the animals stopping us." Kota said fixing his horned hat. "Yep." Eri said.
The two's blades were raised and the two got into a stance as they were back to back.
"They are not stopping us now." Kota proclaimed "Yeah, we are bringing back everyone." Eri says putting on her mask and got ready for battle.
The snakes about to the attack them as the big one roared stopping them.
It got close to the teenagers and breathe on them. "His breath stinks." Kota said with eri nodding.
The serpent's eye widen as it recognized her mask eri wore. It roared and like that the rest of it's army left them alone.
"Um...what is happening?" Eri asked as kota remembered that izuku used to wear the mask she wore. "I think this guy remembers big bro." Kota said as it let eri pet him.
"This guy sort of looks like the healing that big bro used to heal explodo when he got shot at the camp." Kota said as it nodded. "Wait you can understand me?" He asked as it nodded once more.
Soon it led them through the forest it resided it. Though he dove underground leaving them alone. "Looks like he wants us to see for our selves." Eri said walking forward with kota following her.
They stood on the edge of the opening of clear land stood massive tree that dwarf the others easily.
Kota soon saw something he thought was gone completely. He ran up to a massive stone claw that held something izuku lost in the war. On the side of the claw held izuku's jagged blade that was a bit rusted.
"I can't believe this is still here after a thousand years." Kota said amazed as eri leaned in to see it. "We'll might as well take it back to it's owner. Once mei is back maybe we can have her repair it." Eri said as kota latched his hand onto the blade and tugged on it.
"It's pretty stuck." Kota said trying not to break it. "We'll get it out later then." Eri said as he nodded. The two explored the area to find clues to find the others.
Kota looked at the trees in the area and noticed that they were arranged in an irregular pattern.
He took out his Nichirin blade to check his hunch. Kota cleanly cut through the bark enough to reveal that tree was hollow. Tearing the hole bigger and letting light shine through revealed that a statue was inside. "Aunty?" He asked taking out the statue to see that it was indeed his aunt, the former hero Mandelay.
"Eri, check the trees!" He shouted as him and eri began to look inside them.
It took them a day's worth of work to get all the people they knew back out into the sun. "Wait....Uraraka was missing a leg last time I checked." Eri said looking at her statue seeing the leg back on. It was being held together by roots making her able to stand.
"Looks like these trees are more alive than we gave them credit for." Kota says looking at the ground.
He got on his knees and began to dig with his hands straight down. Eri looked at him confused as he dug and dug. Till he hopped out of the hole covered in dirt. "I knew it." He said as eri looked over.
"The trees are actually the roots of the big ass one right here." He said pointing at biggest tree. "The reason why all our family is literally put back together is because of you isn't it......big bro!"
Eri looked at him confused "Um...kota that's a tree not papa." She said as he sighed. "I meant that big bro is in this one. Like the rest I think it's hollow all we need to do it check it out. Plus we already found Miss momo what could us checking hurt?"
Eri looked at the statues seeing the ones that care for her being right there was surreal. Kyoka was among them and it seems that her statue was in pristine condition all she needed was to be awoken. The same was for Ibara and or anybody that was severely injured in the war.
"Ok, lets check. Papa has to be there." She said as kota smiled "Now that's the spirit! Lets make use our heads!" He shouted climbing up the tree as she followed him up.
Making it to an opening in the tree the two stared in to see two thrones inside along with a grassy bed inside. Though that should be impossible to do.
What caught their attention was what was in the center of the room inside.
There it was the final statue they've been searching for. It was on it knees as it was being swallowed up by another tree.
Eri ran inside to and hugged the cold statue. Kota did the same feeling very happy to see him again. "Time to wake up big bro." He said using his brute strength to rip the tree off him.
As he did it something became apparent. "The arm that was cut off is back on....his other is still some pieces. The biggest part that is missing is his head." Eri said noting down what should they find.
"You know that would explain that loose hand I found earlier." Kota stated taking out the hand from his bag. Eri looked at him "You found a loose hand and you kept it?" She asked him sarcastically. "Um....yeah don't you see it in my hand. I thought it would come in handy."
Eri looked at him as she was about to kill him for the joke. "All that for a pun?" She asked as he nodded. "Forget it just give me it." She said taking out izuku and mei's baby #69: izuku's especially sticky sap.

So, don't go tattle on me. Notice: I made that cover. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=Other tag: Romance. Drama
8 168God of Thieves
Matsumoto Kunio was just an average human living a boring life in Tokyo, Japan. That was the case until he died and was reincarnated to another world! Armed with a System and tasked with a mission to save the world, watch as Matou, the new name he was given, sets off on an epic adventure! …Or at least, that should have happened? “All right, hand me the thingamabob, you’re no longer the main character! Now, how does this thing work? Ah. “My name is Kayden, and witness my ascendance to the God of Thieves! None shall be safe from my hands, not even your beloved System! Muahahahaha!” This can’t be happening… Author’s note. Hi, this novel is a LitRPG novel. In case you are confused, both Kayden and Matou are main characters, but the ‘protagonist’ would be Kayden. The novel is pretty slow-paced (in my opinion), so do keep that in mind when reading. This is my first novel, so do leave reviews and comments on how to improve my writing. Be nice about it. Also, I recently added the profanity tag. There is some swearing but it's not excessive or anything. Adding it just in case. Taking a one week break! Basically until my exams are over.
