greetings and salutations.
welcome to one of the only john connor x readers out there. this book was previously taken down, but it has been heavily edited since. the story's essentials are the same, but the writing has been revised! i finally finished this book after around two years, and i hope it's final chapters does it justice.
a few disclaimers:
✓warnings consist of language, heavy smoking, and canon-typical violence
✓the reader uses she/her pronouns and is occasionally referred to as "the girl".
✓the mcs (john and the reader) are aged up. i wrote this when i was younger, but it feels better for them to be around 15.

Citizens can visit other planets and live there as if they were on a "vacation". Mercury is Earth’s hub connected to the closest Core and Earth is a remote vacation spot for wealthy citizens. When the main character was 10 he witnessed a citizen returning to the Core. The story continues 10 odd years later when he again witnesses a similar situation unfolding and manages to touch the person returning to the Core. This causes him to be swept up in the transfer as well and for his mind to join as a "Guest" user of the Core. As a Guest he has limited powers, a starting balance of zero cr or Citizen credits, and no idea how he can get home. He is the first human to ever become a Guest of a Core. Now this big fat floating eye is calling him his son and his best friend is teaching him how to hunt many strange lifeforms in this strange void, while he tries to maintain his regular life at the same time. AN (Posted Nov. 4th): on about 3 weeks from now I have two exams which will define where I am in a year after, so updates will come at a slower pace until the 26th. I will still try to get things out, but there won't be as many chapters/week as there have been so far.
