"But why can't you stay? Just for the night?" His blue eyes were heavy. His slim face leaning against the doorframe of his home.

His black bow tie hung untied around his neck while the top two buttons of his dress shirt were undone.

"Mother wouldn't want me to. Father would come by and ring your neck." You traced your fingertips delicately across his cheekbone. So gentle as if you'd mess up his perfect bone structure.

"Couldn't you stay just this once?"

"I can't darling. I would be in an awful lot of trouble at home."

He put his arms around your waist and pulled you close. You wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed his lips sweetly. His eyes were closed as were yours.

"Goodnight Frank."

"Goodnight." His lips were pouty. You pinched his bottom lip teasingly with your glove-covered hand.

"Why must it be so difficult to leave you?"

"Because deep down you don't want to, I can tell. You're awfully hesitant for wanting to go." He kissed your hairline, his speech beginning to slur against your skin.

"It certainly isn't easy. I've had a blast this summer, thanks to you. I just don't want to say goodbye yet."

"It's just goodbye for the night. Then we will see each other again after the sun rises and we will fall into each other all over again." He responded.

"Perhaps you're right. Maybe this is what being in love is like." You met his eyes. His blue eyes turning a shade darker.

"I wouldn't know. I've never really been in love. It feels like it sounds on records and in the pictures. We must be doing something right."

"I'd say we are." You looked down at your watch to see it was getting minutes closer to your curfew.

"I must really be going now. Goodnight," you kissed his cheek before hurrying towards your car.

"Goodnight," Frank muttered to himself. He bent down to pick up a red rose you had dropped on his porch. By the time he looked up you were gone. He smiled to himself before heading into his home and housing the rose in a glass of water.
