"Okay just pull on his shirt a little bit more." The director called from behind the camera. You were taping a small scene for a new film and you couldn't get the take quite right.
You were partnered with another young star Carleton Carpenter for this scene and it made you nervous. You had to act absolutely infatuated with him and you needed to tug on his shirt and practically mess it up.
Maybe it was because a small part of you liked him for real but you couldn't bring yourself to do as much damage as the director visioned. "Okay let's do this again."
You mouthed with the track and pulled on his shirt. Raising it up out of being tucked into his pants and twirled the hem around your finger. You tried to gaze into his eyes but he looked away. His face sporting a look of disgust.
"Perfect! Done!" The director cheered. The audio stopped and the lights dimmed.
"I'm sorry for having to do that to you." You chuckled to your friend.
"Anything for the film." He smirked while tucking his shirt back into his trousers.
"Want to come with me for a soda?"
"Sure."
After changing out of the studio's wardrobe, he drove you to the small soda shop near the studio. Fans would often wait there in hopes a huge star would walk in. Nobody looked at you and Carleton. Neither of you were known.
You sat in the back of the small restaurant and ordered two chocolate sodas.
"What are your plans after this film?" He asked in an undefinable tone that you've never heard before.
"I'm not really sure. I could always go back to the chorus group or wait until the studio finds something for me to do." You took a sip from your soda.

"You know that could take years. Why don't you come out with me to New York? I have prospects of going on the stage and it would be awfully fun to have you there with me... as a friend and all..."
"Why, that sounds real dandy."
"So it's settled? After this picture we head out to the East?"
"You have my word." You shook hands.
He grazed his thumbs over your gloved hands. He smiled at you nonchalantly and drank his soda. You looked around the small shop trying to act casual but inside you were excited.

You were all moved in and looked at the fresh apartment in front of you. Carleton had just finished straightening out the throw rug in the small living room area.
"It looks perfect." You said while he met you. His arms locked around your waist and pulled you to his chest. He gave you his goofy grin.
He leaned down and pecked your cheek. Here's to a new chapter.
"I can't wait for this adventure with you."

A Goblin's Blade (dropped)
He looked down the path, which was littered with many things. Things he found in abundance were such of violence, desire and gore while things he found in scarcity were such of love, friendship and glory. At the start of the path was a naive, green goblin while at the end of it... Well at the end of it stood him: the godslayer, the monster from the forest, the walking death... He had many names but none so that perfectly captured his image as well as the Mad King. Authors note: Edit: Trying to release a chapter per day, around 2-2.5k words each. An evolution story about a goblin. This is under lit-rpg but I'm focusing more on the plot/characters instead of the usual features of such stories such as the blue tables that take ages to make or the stat screens. In essence it's closer to high fantasy than lit-rpg. Much appreciated if you read the Prologue to see whether you like it or not. Cover image is "Evolution" taken from art done by WhoAmI01

The Tests in Life
Degen Vasir is being tested. He just doesn't know it. After death, he was given another chance at life. In his new life, he has the power to make a difference. Can Degen survive without losing sight of who he is, or will he be forced to cover his hands in blood? Will he stand out or become like all the others who were given the same chance? Disclaimer: This is mainly just a test of commitment, to see how long I can keep this going. I'm not a particularly good writer and I'd appreciate criticism. This is set in the DC Universe

Just a Game
“A great corruption is spreading. The people cry out for a savior. For a hero. For YOU! Come join the fight, as the chosen of World Tree! Receive the blessings of the gods, battle fierce monsters, and become the hero you were meant to be, in Arcanum Online!” It was the cheesiest commercial Ethan had ever heard, but the gameplay was enough to draw him - and thousands of others - to the fantasy world of Lazuros. It’s the sort of place that can really draw you in - a huge open world, a deep character customization system, and a feature that makes time pass slower inside the game, extending your limited playtime! It was a little strange, though. As if it was a bit too realistic for a game of swords and sorcery. The NPC’s seemed almost alive, most quests didn’t reset and monsters respawned slowly. Still, for all it’s quirks, it was a good game! Just a game. And nothing more. …right?
