The cameras nearly blinded you while you were on the red carpet. You were standing solo in a beautiful gown, like something you'd see in a ball scene of a film.
The columnists took note of your stunning appearance, your first premiere and it was going smoothly.
Larger stars were getting all the attention, deservedly so. Everyone was here. Ginger Rogers, Fred Astaire, Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney, Olivia De Havilland, Vivien Leigh, and James Stewart.
You stood across the carpet from Jimmy and he wasn't trying to hide the fact you caught his eye. The group around him consisted of Ginger, Judy, Mickey, and Fred. Ginger waved at you, making you wave back.
The photographers moved on to the couples behind you as you slowly approached the giggling group.
"Hey y/n," Ginger warmly greeted. She leaned to kiss your cheek and give you a friendly embrace.
"Hello Ginger," she was the closest to you than the others and you idolized her. The two of you met on set of a film you just wrapped and got along splendidly.
"You look beautiful."
"Oh thank you, so do you."
"Y/n, this is Jimmy. Jimmy this is y/n," Mickey introduced. Jimmy couldn't take his eyes off you and it left you starstruck. How else could you feel when one of the biggest male stars is staring at you dumbfounded?
"Nice to meet you Jimmy." He took your hand and kissed your knuckles.
"Just don't forget to invite me to the wedding!" Ginger joked, making you all chuckle. Fred took her arm and guided her inside the theatre, as did Mickey to Judy. Jimmy shyly offered you his arm and you gladly took it.
"I apologize for making such a fool of myself." He looked down at you, he sure was tall.

"You're not a fool. You're quite sweet." You two sat towards the back of the theatre. It wasn't very crowded inside, but alas, it was still early.
Ginger and Fred were sitting to the right and Ginger couldn't stop watching you with a large grin. Fred was looking at a catalogue.
"So what brought you out to Hollywood?" He asked you. His eyes beaming with curiosity. He was very handsome.
"I've wanted to act since I saw Jean Harlow in Dinner at Eight. Once I graduated I caught the first train out."
"Jean Harlow... what a gal!"
The movie began and captivated everyone's attention. I leaned back in my seat and felt butterflies erupt in my stomach when I felt Jimmy's hand graze over mine.
I looked down to see his fingers slowly intertwine with mine. I held it firmly, silently letting him know it's okay.
I don't know how it happened but by the end of the film I had my head on his shoulder. I could feel his gentle eyes fall to my cheek. He didn't seem to mind the intrusion.
Everyone started to exit the theatre. You lifted your head from Jimmy's shoulder slowly. Ginger chuckled while walking by, giving you a thumbs up. You smiled back at her.
"Let me drive you home," Jimmy proposed. He placed his coat over your shoulders. He guided you to his car and opened the door for you.
You didn't want the night to end. You gave him directions to your apartment and leaned back into the seat. You sure were exhausted.
"I had a lovely time tonight."
"Likewise, thank you for allowing me to lay on your shoulder." He chuckled.
"I would be a pillow for a pretty girl like you anytime."
He pulled up to the curb outside your building. He ran around to open your door. He walked you up slowly.
"Would you like to catch some dinner tomorrow?"
"I would love that."
He leaned down slowly and pressed a delicate kiss to your lips. He was so sweet.
"Goodnight darlin'."
"Goodnight Jimmy."

The Card Thief of Culnivar
Deep with the cozy kingdom of Daeton, among the generation-old farmlands and villages, a young farmer’s daughter stumbles upon a dead man. His elaborate clothing has been torn to ribbons, yet his skin remains unblemished. His face is peaceful, and tucked into the hand lying across his chest can be seen a solitary playing card. He is a Ludum Haeres. The last remnant of a Summoner. Numbered among those few capable of changing their destinies. The unseen rulers of the world known as Vesperia, and one of the most powerful creatures in existence. The woman knows none of this. And so, she picks up the card... This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.
