The World of the Living, a terrible place filled to the brim with evil, human or not. A place full of trouble and despair. Crimes, souls, hollows, no news from anyone, weather, and just complete hell. But now, for our main character that was all over. For 150 long years she had stayed to long in the living world.
Now, as she walks down the street of Karakura Town no one has bat an eye at her. She is quite a skilled shinigami, one who was valued among all -if they knew her of course. She had been in the west, or more commonly known as America for a mission sent from the Royal Guard themselves. The Spirits -both whole or non- in America, were to say.. different in the least. They weren't like the ones in Japan at all. Not like the ones she was used to dealing with.
Her (e/c) eyes survived the land around her as she casually jumped from each roof to another. She had been summoned back to Japan by the Head Captain. She didn't even know the reason! The Jigokuchō couldn't make its way to you overseas, so they sent a replacement soul reaper for her. Their name was Haryana Salas from Squad 3, and actually. No one didn't say enough to remember much about this individual.
The one good thing about returning to the Soul Society was returning home to her brother. The brother in mind is the captain of the 8th Company -Shunsui Kyoraku. The two weren't identical in outward appearance, but they both shared very alike qualities mentally. Holding a carefree expression across her beautiful face, her (e/c) (shape) eyes held a joking yet powerful look to them, and the (h/l) (h/t) hair matched completely. The Kyoraku kids surely matched in expression.
Regal was often used to describe the female shinigami. Especially how her stance was in battle. She was known as a monster on the field but was a kind soul out of fighting.
Y/N and Shunsui shared no attributes with the eldest sibling though. He took on the grandparents looks, and not the parents. Sometimes it would be a joke within the two kids that the eldest was an uncle.
In soul form, power was the perfect word for the female. At her side and back were two lovely Zanpakuto. It had seemed that dual wielding was apart of the family, as she was like her brother. One had been designed with a white hilt, covered with black swirls. While the other was adorned with the charcoal color and the faintness of the white pattern. Both swords were held with a (f/c) sash that was connected with a small golden trinket. The swords were opposite from one another in colors but held the same patterns. Like a weird mirror.
Something that stood out on her was a scar above her (color) lips. It was a (lighter/darker) shade of color on her skin. Scars were memorable! The scars on her body never stayed to long and disappeared without a trace. Alas, even if this tadbit of something happened she cannot remember how it was obtained. It wasn't a birth mark, that's for sure, it was the perfect match for a cut.
It had been a pain to travel back to Japan. She had to stay in your gigai as she was on planes and once she arrived to Karakura she couldn't even take off the contraption, so Y/N waited for a bit and took it off, shoving it into a bag she had purchased from the living world.

Jumping from roof to roof, a familiar store came into view. The Urahara Shoten. It was owned by her dear friend Kisuke, but he himself was always such a pain.
Making the way to the front door a note caught her (e/c) eyes. It was addressed to you with a faint amount of spiritual pressure contained on the paper.
"Dear my sweet Dandelion, (if you aren't my Nene please come back another time! I'm talking about you Strawberry ;) )
We are currently away on a business trip somewhere not important! You're re-arrival back to the Soul Society has made me so happy and proud for you! (Don't ask me how I knew! I just do!)
About your gigai: Please deposit in the back near the bins. There is a small little gift bag waiting for you over there as well!!
-The sexy and ever so humble Shop Owner
P.s. Ururu says hello!"
She grumbled under her breath. "Agh, that idiot. Always disappearing when I need answers and appearing when I need him the least. Never any help."
She grumpily made her way back to the bins, dragging her feet along the way, and saw what the note said was true. The gift bag held a small (f/c) bracelet and a mask to match.
"Huh.. what are these for?" She clapped her hands together as she figured it out. Spiritual control. Ever since she was younger, she had immense amounts of spiritual power. None really knew the reason behind this and some didn't want to know. It was almost impossible to control.
The Royal Guard Squad had always given her an accessory to accommodate that power and to keep it under control. So, as she took off the restricting Gigai, she slipped the bracelet on and threw the mask on your ear.
'The bracelet will do for now.' Was going through her mind as she deposited the Gigai (along with her other items) near the bins.
"Well let's get this over with.. shall we?" Speaking to no one in general, but mostly to hype herself up, she pulled out her Zanpakuto. Sticking it in the void the opening words made a gate. Not glancing backwards, she made her way into the dangai with ease.
A hell butterfly met her and fluttered stop her forehead. The butterfly tickled her hair as she giggled.
"Hey little one.. let's hope the cleaner doesn't come today huh ?" She continued to laugh to herself and repositioned the katana she used back into her sheathe. Her nerves were going insane.
It had been so long since she has traveled in this sacred space. While she walked, her mind was running a thousand miles a minute as she wondered why she was summoned.
After a long enough walk, she finally saw the light of the Soul Society. The seireitei was about to welcome her with its warm light. The butterfly fluttered off her hair and went behind her body as to say: "I'm not going first. You're the lady here."
Chuckling at her own made up thoughts she excited the Precipice World and was immediately stopped with two long spears jabbed at her throat. With the sudden contact, the pressure contained by the bracelet suddenly released and she hurriedly put on the mask.
"Yes..?" She questioned the two guards. Cocking her head and eyebrow, minding the two sharp objects pressing harder into her skin.
"Ma'am at the moment you are an intruder. Trespassing into the Soul Society without a Jigokuchō is a serious crime." One of them spoke, must be the older one because the other was shaking in their boots. Well.. sandals.

"Uh.. I'm sorry? Are you two blind or am I going crazy?" She pointed over her shoulder at the "shy" butterfly. Both guards fumbled at your words. They bowed and apologized deeply. She let out a giggle that made the younger one blush. They bowed lower to make sure she didn't see.
'Pfft what a simp.'
"Well that's fine. Now if you'll excuse me, I might be late for a meeting with Head Captain Yamamoto. Nice meeting you!" She walked ahead with closed eyes and a smile only to hear a slap and an "ouch".
The red and black butterfly flapped it's wings in front of her (e/c) eyes. She asked it what the heck did it want, and it led her towards a building.
"Ah so this is the wonderful Squad One.." she muttered sarcastically. "Oh well, let's go meet the Head Captain again. Been a while since I've seen Gramps." Looking up at the sun she sighed. "I've missed brunch because of his old butt and I'm starving."
Shunsui's POV
Wonderful weather today. A small breeze here and there, clouds moving just right, and no Nanao to pester me about the office work. Though I do feel like I'm forgetting something extremely important.. I began to shift my hat lower on my face to finally finish my nap from earlier. Just to push the thought out my mind. Naps always help.
A shuffling sound was heard next to me and my body immediately tenses. I knew who's footsteps those were. Suddenly a heavy weight was thrown on top of my stomach and I sat up with an "omph!"
"Sweet sweet Nanao-Chan.. what was that for..?" I took off my hat and stared at her. She looked angry but what's new.
"You left me to do your work again!! You need to have at least SOME responsibility!" She exaggerated 'some' and dusted off her book she threw at me. Which makes me mad because she must think I'm dirty. 'How dare.'
"Why did you wake me up like that.. I knew I forgot something but that's not important." Standing up I waved my hand around. "Just let me nap Nanao!~" I whined.
"Captain Kyoraku. We have a meeting today if you will get your lazy butt up, neither myself or Captain Ukitake will cover for you." She huffed. I clapped my hands together. So that's what I forgot.
"What do you think the meeting is for? Both Captains and Lieutenants were called." I asked her whilst we walked.
"No idea.. I hope it's for a replacement Captain though. Lieutenant Hinamori has been swamped with work. At least I have a Captain that does some of his work," she glared the last part at me. I ignored that.
We kept walking and I looked up at the sky. "Missed my brunch today.. how disappointing," Man I'm hungry. I sighed as we rounded the corner and was met with a flash of white hair.
"Good morning Captain Ukitake," Nanao tilted her head in greeting and Jushiro did the same.
"Good morning Shunsui and Nanao!" He smiled at us and joined our walk to the meeting hall.
"Mornin' Mr. Handsome." I chuckled. "What do you think the meeting is for?"
"I think it's a new Captain. At least, for the reason we were called," he sighed. We all knew that sigh. We all experienced it.
"I hope.. I hope it's Y/N.." Nanao voiced our thoughts. We all missed her dearly, but that mission she was on was for her safety and training.
"We missed our brunch Jushiro," I looked over to the white haired man who had a small sad smile on this features. I wanted to change the subject. "But at least you look not as sickly today!" I had to throw some optimism in here. Can't be depressing all the time.
"I have been feeling-" a large amount of unfamiliar spiritual pressure suddenly caught all of us off guard.
"What the heck was that!?" I practically shouted.
"It felt familiar but also unrecognizable at the same time!" Jushiro chimed in.
Both soul reapers standing beside me stared off into the distant. "I'm asking the Old man when we get there. I'm not going to be late because I am missing my late brunch and nap for this."
Your Point of View
'This old geezer,' I thought to myself. 'He really wants me to be a Captain AND a surprise at the same time. I think the old age is finally getting to him. Crazy in the coconut.'
Apparently I was early to the meeting hall and would have to introduce myself to all the captains and lieutenants. After everyone was inside, chatter began to emerge. It wasn't very loud but even then I couldn't identify who was who.
Suddenly a voice spoke out. "Before this meeting begins, head captain," Immediately the voice registered in my head. "I have a question." Wait. Who is letting that idiot think?
"Yes Captain Kyoraku?" Yamamoto spoke out.
"It's about the unfamiliar spiritual pressure from around 10-15 minutes ago. I was wondering if there was an intruder and they knew about our meeting today." Man he sounded sophisticated! Wait.. does that mean everyone felt that accidental release of power I let out earlier. Hehe.. Whoops.
"Heh my bad," I only muttered Gramps could hear me. He only sighed at my comment. I shuffled in his silence. The new uniform I had was completely different than the one I previously had. The old one was like that of the Stealth force, as Kisuke had an extra one. The new one I had one was very fitting to say in the least. The shoulders were cut out and the long sleeves flowed from my upper bicep and went out on my wrist.
The pants were a lot looser than I remember and I didn't have socks with my sandals. "Good," was went through my head when I placed them on my feet. "Socks can't help my feet breathe."
The captains haori was backed with turquoise and trimmed to match the Shihakusho's style with the sleeves. I guess this was the previous Captain's color of the haori. 'Though.. (f/c) would be ten times better..'
"We will get to that now Captain," Yamamoto banged his cane on the ground to call everyone to order. I guess after everyone was in a line the Captain began to speak.
"It has come to my attention that I have a very talented shinigami that could help replace the previous Fifth Company's Captain." How thoughtful of him. Thinking highly of me like that. I shuffled behind him and heard someone grunt.
"Who is that behind your seat Head Captain?" A female voice called out. That didn't sound like Ms. Unohana. But came from that direction.
"Now a handful of you will know her and she is highly respected among Squad 0. Do not cross her." He ignored the said voice. He nudged his head and that was my que to show myself.
Deciding to not just walk out I stood and flash stepped with both hands in my pockets. My mask was fully pulled up and I stood in the middle of the room. My eyes scanned around for the faces I've been missing for so long.
"Everyone. Meet Captain Y/N Kyoraku."
