"I pity you."
_____________
From behind me, I could hear Sasuke's breathing shallow, and small, crooked chuckles taking its place.
His chuckles turned into a roaring fit of laughter. "Don't bother, he deserved it." He smirked.
Kisuke continued on. "To only have that one person left in your family, and kill him? I pity you because you're mentally unstable, Sasuke."
Sasuke's face fell, a derailed glint in his eyes. "Shut up you old bastard, you're starting to annoy me. And I don't think this is the best time to do that."
His grip on me tightened, and I let out a groan in pain. "I swear I'll kill her unless you back away." Kisuke took another step forward, pushing Sasuke a step back. "Sasuke, be rational. Let. Her. Go." He growled lowly. "You know what I'm capable of."
I nearly gasped in shock when Kisuke pulled out a gun, nearly identical to Sasuke.
Sasuke laughed. "You wouldn't. You'd get arrested!"
"For once, this wicked society works in my favor." Kisuke smirked. "Do you really think anyone would find your death unjustified after everything you've done? I bet you I'd be thanked for my deed." Sasuke was speechless, faltering slightly.
"Now I'll say it again, let her go." Kisuke muttered, cocking the gun. After a long moment, I heard the man behind me scoff and found myself propelling forward as he shoved me away.
My legs shook violently, unable to keep myself upright, falling into Toshiro's arms. A wave of relief washed over me as my lover's warmth enclosed me. I rested my head on his shoulder and sobbed, not only because of what I'd been put through, but because I was so glad that he'd come to save me.
"Y/n." I looked up to face Toshiro. He gazed down at me with glassy eyes, giving me a clear view of my messy, scratched up face. I opened my mouth to speak, but no words came out. Instead, a small sob left my mouth and my lips quivered.
His heart dropped to his stomach to see this. His hand made its way to my cheek as I leaned in and pressed my swollen lips against his. Immediately my body loosened up, and my quivering episode came to an end.

"Here babe." Shiro draped his captain robe over my shoulders and tied it at my waist with his belt.
"Captain Abarai." I turned to face Kisuke, who while talking to me never took his eyes off of Sasuke for a even a moment. "You and the other two need to leave. I can handle this guy myself."
As much as I wanted to leave, I couldn't abandon someone who had risked so much for me to fend for himself.
"Kisuke—"
"Please, trust me. Go." I inhaled sharply, ready to stand my ground. But before I could speak, I felt myself being lifted off the ground. Toshiro slung me over his shoulder and sprinted out of the room, Hanataro following close behind.
"Shiro we can't just leave him!" I yelled, hitting his back. "He said to trust him, so I will." He replied. "And right now, my main concern is to get you back to the shop and Hanataro healing you."
___________________
It's been six hours since I left Sasuke's lair. Hanataro returned to his post after healing me, and Kisuke was still nowhere to be found.
I sat on the porch outside, staring blankly into the sapphire sky above me. Endless thoughts were racing through my head, replaying all the events that had happened in just one day.
"How are you feeling babe?" Toshiro said beside me, two cups of tea in hand. He handed me one and I proceeded to slowly sip it.
"I've just been violated Shiro," I whispered. "What do you think?" I hugged my knees and sniffled. Just then, the front door slammed open, and Ururu's and Jinta's voices could be heard.
"Mr. Urahara! You're back!"
At that I jumped up and hastily walked over to where they were. I saw him sitting at the table, head in his hand, drinking tea.
"W-what happened to Sasuke?" I asked. Kisuke took a long sip of his tea before sighing.
"Sasuke is dead."
"Oh" was all I could muster up. I didn't know how to feel. I've been trained to believe these things were justified. Hell, even I've killed people before. I walked up to him and bowed. "Thank you very much for helping me. I'm sorry for any trouble I've caused."

"I'm just glad you're safe now." He calmly smiled. "Please excuse me, I'm going to go rest." With that, he stood up and walked off. I sighed, and walked to my room.
Catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror made me gag. As much as I wasn't cut open and bleeding anymore, I looked like a wreck. My skin was dry, my hair was oily, and I just felt icky altogether.
I waddled over to the bathroom, stripping myself of the spare robes I had to wear when Hanataro healed me. I looked in the brightly lit mirror of the bathroom, to see scars, bruises and hickeys. Hanataro said that he couldn't remove them with his abilities, and they'd go away with time. My heart dropped as I remembered the pained look on Toshiro's face when he glanced at the marks, especially the love bites.
"I'm sorry Shiro..."
"Don't apologize y/n, it wasn't your fault."
Now standing in the mirror, I teared up at the sight of the marks. I twisted the knob on the side of the sink, and cold water came gushing out. Once the sink had filled a bit, I cupped up a small of amount of water in my hands, and spread them apart over the sink. Miniature spheres of water levitated level to my face as I willed them over to the marks.

As hard as I'd tried, even my own abilities couldn't diminish the hickeys. I looked down in shame and sulkily dragged myself into the shower.
Under the hot water and shrouded in steam, remnants of dried blood poured down the drain. I squeezed some shampoo into my hand and reached up to run it through my hair.
The shampoo slide down my torso as my arm recoiled. I yelped in pain. There was a burning, stinging pain in my upper arm where I'd been shot.
"Y/n?" The bathroom door flew open, and my boyfriend came running in. I stared at him, startled, until I realized I was standing there naked. "Toshiro get out!" I shrieked, throwing a bottle of shampoo at him.
"Oh please, I've seen it all before." He claimed in all seriousness as he caught the bottle. He then walked over to me and handed back the shampoo. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I just can't lift my arm, it hurts." I glanced at him feeling helpless. After a moment of silence, I heard him sigh and shuffle around. I looked back up to see him removing his shirt. "Uh... what are you doing babe?" I stuttered. He stared at me, unamused.
"I'm about to go fight the head captain in the nude, obviously."
I pursed my lips, trying not to crack a smile at his cold humor. "I'll join you!" I pretended to step out of the shower. I smiled widely as his brows furrowed. "Just turn around so I can help you."
He stepped into the glass cubicle of steam and stood behind me. After pouring some shampoo into his hand, he ran it through my locks, gently and soothingly. I felt myself relax under his care.

After taking a nice relaxing shower, I found myself curled up in bed with Toshiro. It was nice to feel so warm and safe once again.
"Shiro?" I whispered into the darkness of the room.
"Yes princess?" He muttered in a raspy voice, holding me closer to his chest.
"I love you."
A small chuckle could be heard by my ear.
"I love you too."
I buried my face in his chest, absorbing the rich aroma emitting from his skin. My brain went fuzzy from fatigue as I slowly drifted off into slumber.
"I'll never let you go." He whispered as we fell asleep. I knew I slept with a smile on my face that night.
if you've made it this far then i am grateful for that and i hope you can find enjoyment in upcoming works :)
