"Hey, I take it back. I need your help."

I arrived back at the forest, to see my Shuhei and the rest of squad 9 fending off a small amount of hollows that made their way out. In the sky, I saw a flash of white jumping around, meaning Shiro was already here, taking in the view.
He saw me and nodded. I took his signal and joined him in the air, unsheathing my sword. He flew back down to the ground, yelling at anyone he saw. "Get back! It's not safe here!"
Once the area was evacuated except for Shiro and Squad 9, I called for him to do his part. "Toshiro, now!" He flashed around the perimeter of the forest, dragging his sword along the dirt. He returned back to where he started and placed his hands out in front of him.
"Kyōmon"
With that, a reflective barrier rose from the trail on the ground, and enclosed the forest in a rectangular prism. From the outside, the forest looked completely normal.
But inside the mirror-like prism, all hell broke loose. As always, I was inside alone. I didn't like showing my shikai off, and usually tried not to use it. Yoru no Tenshi, roughly translated to Angel of the Night, was one of the strongest, and few dark type swords in the world.
Very few soul reapers possess or even know of dark type swords. They consist of illusionary type swords, and spirit blades. Some familiar ones were Ichigo's Zangetsu, and Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu.
I've released my shikai countless times in front of others, but rarely to its fullest power. A trick that I learned from the 5th seat of Squad 11, Yumichika Ayasegawa, was to alter my zanpakuto's name. my sword will be obliged to release, but to an extent. Usually, I'd call my sword Hikari no Tenshi, meaning Angel of Light, which often helped me suppress it's true shikai.

But I was alone inside the barrier, and it kept all the destruction caused by my sword within its walls.
My blade widened about five times its original size, deep indigo flames rising up from the sleek metal. I glanced down at the hollows, which all had their attention on my blade, which reeked of my spiritual pressure.
Yoru no Tenshi had six moves, but in this situation only three of them would work, seeing as how the other three are defensive moves. Looking down at the vast greenery below me, I saw some hollows going airborne, and decided to handle them now.
I speeded towards them, not hesitating to slice them in half. Once they were gone, I faced the hollows down below again. I swung my sword down in front of me, and muttered the name of my primary move.
"Higure."
An indigo strip of flames flew away from my sword and fell towards the hollows underneath. Once it made contact with them, the hollows let out loud roars of pain and proceeded to fade away.
Smoke was everywhere, and some of the greenery was still set on fire, blazing blue. Where the hollows had burned away, there were ditches multiple feet deep in the ground.
I flashed around the area one more time, making sure I didn't miss any hollows. Once I confirmed the forest was cleaned, I cut a hole through the barrier, letting myself out. I ran up to Shiro and my squad, sheathing my shrunken sword.
"Well done Captain!" Squad 9 lined up in a formal bow. "Nice~" Toshiro grinned and squeezed my hand. I exhaled and nodded, a small smile on my face.

"Take care, you guys!" I smiled as I waved at the members of both mine and Toshiro's squads. The day had finally come when we left for Urahara's. I had a small bag packed and stood in front of the senkaimon with Toshiro, ready to go.

"Ready?" Toshiro asked. I nodded and watched as the enormous brown doors slid apart, the bright light of the passageway causing me to squint for a moment. Once the senkaimon was completely open, I grabbed my bag, and we sprinted through the light.
After a few minutes of running, I saw the clear blue sky of the world of the living. Jumping through the open end, we landed in a rocky terrain. Jagged rocks and boulders were everywhere, the barren ground hard under our feet.
I look at Toshiro, confused. "Where-?" I was cut off by a low pitched purr. "Welcome, you two~" An clacking sound echoed around us, almost as if this was a closed space. The clacking got louder and louder, until a flash of green appeared before us.
"Glad you guys could make it!"
The man in front of us was no other than Kisuke Urahara. He wore a green and white striped bucket hat, a dark green robe, and ankle length pants to match his top.
"Thanks for having us sir." I bowed slightly, Shiro doing the same. "Where... exactly are we?" A chuckle could be heard from Kisuke. "This is my new training room of course. You're welcome to use it at your leisure."
"You guys are just in time, we're going to start making lunch." He continued on. "Hitsugaya, you can help us set up the dining room since we'll need a bigger table. Also I need more ingredients-"
"No need to ask, I'll do it." I sighed. So much for a warm welcome. The blond man grinned and handed me a list with several items written on it. "Great! Here's everything I'll need. You should get going, lines can get pretty long around this time."
I nodded and slipped into my gigai, kissing Toshiro on the cheek as I strolled out the door. I've barely been here for 5 minutes and I'm already running errands for Kisuke. I exhaled and shook my head, ridding myself of the negativity.
I picked up the pace when I saw the street of different stores ahead. Once I found everything I'd been asked to get, I took some extra time to check out the other stores. I trailed along blocks and blocks of stores, until I'd gotten myself lost, no evident path leading back to Urahara's.
I went down a random alley, only bringing myself deeper into the town, and further away from where I needed to be. The sky faded to gray as clouds crept across, and it started to drizzle. Suddenly, the alleyway darkened. I realized how empty the pavement was, and started to feel uneasy.
"Hey cutie~"
I turned to see a tall man with jet black hair approaching me from behind, spinning something sharp and shiny in his hand. My throat went dry, and started to walk faster.
"Hey~ what's the rush? Let's have some fun."
At this point I was really nervous, and started running, keeping my head turned back to see the man following after me. I was already losing my breath. Stupid gigai, I thought to myself as I kept sprinting. With a thud and a grunt, I stopped, colliding into something hard.
Everything went pitch black. I couldn't open my mouth, my eyes, and couldn't move any part of my body. Before I completely lost consciousness, I heard the man's voice right by my ear.
"We're going to have so much fun, dear~"

Wild Steam
Get on a train. Head east. Get on a ship. Travel further east, in style. See some wonders of the world. Find what was lost. Find where home is. How hard is any of that?Well, for Jake Ranger, pretty damned hard. The world being a wild, crazy mess from a global altering event called the Shattering doesn’t help much. Nor does being a famous folk hero. That last one really sucks, because people always run up to famous heroes and beg them for help with all their problems. Then there are the actual outlaws and monsters. They don’t help much either. Mostly they just get in the way and make everything way worse. And in a world that is so screwed up decades after the Shattering, there is a lot of variety to both outlaw and monster. Then there are the more civilized, (read: sane), non-human folk, and good old humans as well. They all get along just spectacularly. Totally best friends, on every level, for life. Of course getting to the east coast is only half the battle. Once there, he must contend with the so-called “civilized people.” Then there’s the ship ride; pirates and sea monsters are a thing too, after all. Should have read the brochure. But when the chips are down, the bad guys are winning and the wild winds of chaos are blowing, it helps to have a fighter on your side. Even if he is a little wild. After all, that’s not really a problem. That’s what beautiful women and lots of gold is for. Proper motivation is always key to success. Welcome to a Steampunk, Wild West, Victorian era, Lovecraftian infested, fantasy, shoot ‘em up world. Complete with a slow build harem of badass beautiful women, crazy adventures, and fun, monstrous villains. Welcome to the world of Wild Steam. Do enjoy your stay.

Solace Laurent and Sage Reyes never got along. They fought and competed over everything, whether it was grades or afterschool clubs. But what happens when Sage shows up at her doorsteps in the middle of the night, bruised and bloody?***"Sage?" whispered Solace in utter shock. He smirked at her as he leaned against the doorframe, looking her up and down from her blue penguin pajamas to her oversized t-shirt until he met her eyes. She felt a rush of emotions when she heard his voice after six months. It was the same: deep, unbothered, and familiar. "Solace Laurent, I need your help."
