(Look how cute these bats are!)
Vlob watches television.
Moonkiller can do whatever he want! he thinks angrily. He is not going to make me stop watching. I am not doing what that idiot wants me to do! He is not my boss. Evelyn is, and she didn't say I can't watch.
Moonkiller walks around in the city, scaring children and hurting their angry parents.
Vlob is an arrogant brat! he thinks fierce. He thinks he can do everything he wants while he has to work for Evelyn!
He screams in front of a small girl her face. The little girl's eyes are full of fear, then of tears and she starts crying out loud.
'Shut your mouth!' Moonkiller snarls.
'Leave her alone!' A man runs towards Moonkiller and pushes him really hard. 'What do you think you're doing, sir?! Dressing up and scaring my young daughter with that look and voice?!'
The spirit replies by grabbing the man's hand and turning it in a painful, strange direction. The man yells of pain while Moonkiller lifts up his leg and crashing it down the man's back. The father lays on the ground and the little girl starts crying for her dad.
'Now it's time to spill some blood!' Moonkiller makes his sword appear.
What was supposed to be a way for him to feel better, turned out in a painful hit from the Balls of Loyalty by the Glitter Force and a scared but relieved and happy father and daughter.
Anadil wraps baby bats up in a small blanket and gives them something to drink. The cute yet scary creatures drink it and calm down. Anadil smiles. She found the bats when she discovered a new cave and saw some lying on the ground, screeching. She searched up some video's and thought about taking care of them. She bets Vlob is going to be happy to know that she saved some baby bats. It will be a nice present for bat boy. Ofcourse he will be able to take better care for them since he is a bat himself. Only in a human body.
A bat lands on her shoulder and look at what she is doing. She smiles. 'Hey. Can you get Vlob for me?'
The bat seemed to understand her, because he flies away in the correct direction. In the living room he lands on top of Vlob's chest and makes a sound.
Vlob pauses the tv and sits up while making a cup of his hands and the bat lays in it.
'What did you just say, little guy?'

The bat makes a sound again. Vlob looks surprised and immediately gets up to run to Anadil. He enters the room.
'Did a bat just tell me that you are taking care of baby bats?!' he asks and pants of the excitement that made him tired.
Anadil smiles at him and it makes Vlob blush.
'Yeah I indeed did.' Anadil smiles. She shows him. 'Ofcourse you are able to take better care of them, but-'
Vlob interrups her, grabs her shoulders and looks straight into her eyes. 'You. Anadil. You are amazing!'
Anadil slightly blushes and smiles at the shocked expression on his face. She carefully brushes his hands of her schoulders and holds them.
'I just did what I thought was right.'
'In an amazing way!'
He slowely brings his face closer. Anadil does the same. They both close their eyes. But before they've reached each other, a loud bang sounds from downstairs.
Vlob almost loses his balance and Anadil falls on the ground on her back. The baby bats start to panick and the bats from downstairs come flying up to the room upstairs. They accidently bumb into Vlob, covering him and pushing him backwards because of their amount. He falls and his head hits the ground really hard, resulting him to get a shot of pain in the back of his head and extreme dizziness.
The Lord of Nightmares is back at the hide-out. He is even more furious than when he left.
'It's all because of that stupid bat!' he screams. Then he notices the television that is turned on and paused. The anger rushes trough his body and then he puts a spell on the television. He uses some extra magic to make it worse and the television explodes. It also causes the whole building to shake.
'Finally that stupid thing has turned into bits!' he sighs and enjoys the sight of the destroyed television. He scoffs as he sees the last bats fleeying.
'Scaredy bats.'
He doesn't have to wait long or Anadil and Vlob run downstairs.
'What happened?' Anadil asks worried.
Vlob is busy rubbing the back of his head. His face is full of pain and he has closed his eyes.
'Nothing,' Moonkiller says calm. 'I only blew up the television!'
'What?!' Vlob ignores the pain and dizziness and runs up to Moonkiller. 'What did you do?!'
'Blowing up your stupid tv.'
'I was busy watching the great finale of a series I love!' Vlob screeches.
'Well, I am done with you and your stupid series!' Moonkiller starts losing his cool.

'I hate you!'
'I hate you too!'
Vlob pushes Moonkiller. The evil spirit doesn't accept that and starts to hit the human bat. Vlob screams of pain and his nose starts to bleed as Moonkiller has hit it.
'Stop it!' Anadil pushes Moonkiller away. 'What do you think you're doing?!'
'I am showing bat boy what I think of him!' Moonkiller pushes Anadil aside, grabs Vlob's black hair and starts pulling. The bat boy screams out loud since Moonkiller has a lot of physical power. Anadil got pushes against a small table, she falls on the ground and so does an expensive vase.
'Moonkiller, let go!' Vlob screams.
'Never! I am so, SO TIRED of you!' Moonkiller pulls even harder and Vlob's hairs fall on the ground. Vlob keeps screaming in pain.
Anadil stands up. Her forehead bleeds and she got tears in her eyes. 'Let him go, Moonkiller!'
'Make me!' Moonkiller drags Vlob to the couch, picks him up and throws him on it. Then Moonkiller jumps up himself, balls his fists and hits Vlob once he comes down. Vlob cries out loud while the blood from his nose mix with the tears. Moonkiller's fists cause his face to hurt badly.
'I'll kill you!' Moonkiller starts to laugh out crazily like he has lost his mind.
'Don't!' Anadil grabs his arm and wants to pull him off Vlob, but Moonkiller uses magic on her. She gets hit and smacks on the ground, right on her face.
'Now where was I?!' Moonkiller says sadistically.
He is about to start hitting Vlob again when a lot of bats try to stop him by covering and biting him. Moonkiller screams and makes wind appear to blow them away. Then he prepares to hit Vlob with a lot of power. He pulls his arm backwards and collects a lot of magic.
'No!' Anadil cries, but knows she is not able to help since Moonkiller is much stronger. There is only one way to stop this.
'E-Evelyn...' Anadil says and then starts shouting. 'EVELYN! HELP! HELP!'
Right when Moonkiller is about to hit Vlob, a voice stops him.
'What's going on here?' Evelyn's voice sounds. She calmly looks at the broken television, the crying witch on the ground, the dark spirit leaning over the humanbat to hit him.
'That dark spirit has lost his mind!' Anadil cries.
Mookiller gets of the couch.
'I see...' Evelyn looks at Anadil and Vlob who are bleeding and crying. 'And I suppose he also did... this.' She walks towards the broken television and holds up a piece. 'Well Moonkiller, it's clear that it was you so don't deny it. Just one question. Why?'
'Why?!' Moonkiller shouts. 'Because Vlob is not doing anything useful! He only watches television and doesn't join our missions anymore. I can do all the dirty work while these two are not doing your job and only cuddle each other!'
'And that's why you destroyed my property?' Evelyn holds the piece in front of her. 'This has been my tv. And you just destroyed what's mine. But besides that, you are hurting your teammates.'
'But they are not doing anything!'
'Moonkiller, I know Vlob is training for better results. So far you've done nothing good yourself. You let your anger issues take over you, also your impatience, aggresion, craving for sadistic actions and you listen to your muscles instead of your brains. If I were you I would quit the complaining and make progress!'
Moonkiller wants to do his absolute best to please Evelyn. He fights. He does everything to not go back to his old live. To all exhaustion. To Sunlow, the terrible spirit of light who always ruins his plans and spreading goodness. Leaving him to suffer when he was on the edge of destruction, allowing people to hurt him... Sunlow, his worst nightmare, a nightmare so bad that even makes him, the Lord of Nightmares, miserable. And now he can get power... Revenge... But a lazy bat guy spoils the chance of a new life. Vlob isn't doing anything while Moonkiller is doing the best he can and he even gets defended by the one he has to work for... Is that princess so ungreatful and ignorant? He will show her what he can do!
Moonkiller shoots to Evelyn and wants to slap her right in the face. But before he can hit her, a sharp, killing pain shouts trough his chest. He screams and falls down on his knees.
Evelyn looks down at him with a wide smirk on her face. 'Remember that you don't control the Heart Of Entire Darkness yet, Moonkiller? This means I can control it for you. And let me warn you. If something like this happens again, I'll injure you to the brink of death and send you back to where you came from! Is that clear?!'
Moonkiller trembles from pain. 'Yes, princess Evelyn Heart from the kingdom of the Heart Of Entire Darkness... I'm so sorry... Please have mercy... I promise to never do this again...'
He feels the pain of his heart slowely fading away, but can't ignore the pain of embarrasment.

Leftover Apocalypse
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] This is a story about the newly-adult Calliope Smith having a terrible day that ends in her getting mysteriously teleported from Phoenix, Arizona to a fantasy world where her life is in constant danger. She considers this an upgrade. Someone evil is looking for her, and she doesn't know why. Someone who seems to know a lot about her has promised they'll help her, but she doesn't know who they are. All that matters to Callie is that magic is real and one way or another she's going to learn it. The end of the world is coming up, sure, but Callie won't need to worry about that. In fact, by the time she even finds out about it one of the doomsday devices will already be destroyed, and the authorities will be well on the way to dealing with the other one. It's fine. Everything will be smooth sailing. Almost certainly. Probably. Chapters are usually about 2500-3500 words, and the goal is to post 2-3 per week but I sometimes get busy or have some writers block. It's your standard portal fantasy / Isekai premise, but unlike some the main character's time on Earth and how she got pulled into another world will (eventually) be explored. Some slight GameLit-feeling stuff later, no menus or level-ups but there's something suspiciously like a skill tree when the magic system gets going. No number crunching, and while the main character will get to do some silly stuff she won't be a god like in some fics (and will in fact spend a lot of time being badly outclassed by her enemies). Some reader interaction, ranging from adding to the worldbuilding to occasionally making big important decisions about skill progression. Please note that the main character is flawed and impulsive, and will make some stupid decisions. That's part of the story, but I get that it's not for everyone. Trigger Warnings: Foster care system references, crappy parenting. Some mental health adjacent stuff, specifically the main character has some issues where she experiences varying levels of empathy and emotional vulnerability depending on the day (it's complicated and not meant to portray any real-world conditions). Occasional violence including mention of death and grievous bodily harm, but no detailed descriptions of gore.

I just wanted to tell a story that was floating around my head. Comment all you like, call me names and mock my scribblings, I'll surely weep myself to sleep over them.

Vemödalen: From The Other Side
War is coming - And when it comes - And where it comes - And whence it comes - The living shall envy the dead One to carry their sword in the name of their goddess and lady, to protect their land and people against the threat of the wicked. They know their path to be the righteous one. One to roam the land, hunting for all apparitions, and be scorned by man and beast alike. They know their path to be an arduous one. One to wander the realm in search of power, to protect themselves and what they believe in. They know their path to be the only one. Writers note: The first chapter will set the standard in terms of mood for the remainder of the story. It also comes to no surprise to me that half the people who read the first part stop reading any further. It has quite a bit of the good ‘ol ‘ultra-violence’ mixed with a great deal of realism. As much as I could fit into it from my own knowledge and experience in the elite forces. The first few chapters will be slow, after, but starting from ‘Restless Destroyer’ the remainder of the world will start to open up, and when we hit ‘Adronitis’ the prologue is largely finished. The novel is well thought out and filled with hidden lore, culture, history. So even if my word choice appears random – it’s not. There is a reason why these chapters take as long as they do. Vermodalen is fantasy adventure, with magic and heroics in an as realistic setting as I could fit. Things are rarely what they seem, and the ugly nature of people bleed through the letters at the turn of every page. I hope you can give this story a fair chance, even if it isn’t immediately to your taste. Lastly, english isn't my first language. It isn't my second one either. So, if you find errors in grammer and spelling, wordplay and sentance building, do let me know, and you will be rewarded by a surge of dopamine that will be released inside your brain for helping someone whom you haven't even seen or heard.
